"Wow, spoiling me now, huh?" I teased, grinning as I stepped past her, gaze scanning around the apartment. "Nice place, it's cozy. Lot more quiet than where I am,"

| |

"I think you mean it's small, cheap, and has minimal things to keep away clutter. But cozy works too...So what's happening...here" She said, gesturing between the two of them

I paused for a moment, turning to face her as I tried to find something to say that wasn't insane sounding. Which was what I wanted to say. "Look, I might sound a little crazy when I say everything," I warned, not giving her a chance to reply. "I've about lost my damn mind without you, Em. I know I said we could try again if we wanted to and I----God I want to, I want there to be an us again."
I started, gesturing between the two of us. "So please, please be saying the truth when you answer this but, can we go back to being us again?"

She sat there and listened to him before taking a moment to think about her answer. She had wanted to be with him again too but had felt hurt when he told her off--and rightfully so. She had trusted that he loved her and he essentially told her he wasn't interested anymore. "How can I trust you?" She asked softly, eyes wide and vulnerable

I stared at her for a moment, processing what she said before huffing a laugh, caught off guard by her words. "How. . . can you. . . trust me?" I repeated slowly, utterly confused. "Why wouldn't you be able to? You trusted me then. . . right? What, I broke up with you because I thought you didn't want me anymore? Because Cadence started texting you things that are not, and never will be true?" I asked quietly, gaze flicked out the window before landing on hers once more. "I promise you, Emily, i'm alot of things, but the things she called me, I am not."
| |
| |

"I was scared to make you bored of me and you told me you no longer wanted me. Do you even know how stupid I felt walking out that door, Caden? How used and humiliated?" She asked quietly, getting upset
| |
| |

"I did want you----I want you still, I thought I messed everything up. You'd barely even look at me, let alone speak to me. I didn't want to break up, I just wanted what was best for you." I explained, brow creasing slightly.
| |
| |

"I was scared she was right..." She admitted, hearing the knock on the door and getting the food. She handed Caden's food to him and sat dow with her own

| |

"Well. . . either you trust what she says, or you trust what I say, i'm not going to force you to pick a side." I noted, taking the bowl from her. "Thank you,"
| |
| |

She nodded at his thanks, eating her own food. "I haven't talked to her since. I blocked her"
