Sage had been spending his time running around the castle with Luther, causing as much trouble as he could for the first few hours he got out of the doctor's ward. He had plenty of energy to use, and he'd seen Anya much more often than the boy, so he kind of just snuck up on him and dragged him around to cause some issues. He was glad to see him, and Luther seemed to be more than happy to get away from whatever duties he had and to mess around for a while. Once Luther had gone back to whatever he needed to get done, Sage decided to go find Anya, since he always enjoyed his time with the girl. He'd seen Charlotte earlier too, and quite a few of the guards he'd been with had greeted him or talked for a bit. He had to admit it was a bit surprising, though the men had gotten to know him pretty well by then, he supposed. He saw Anya reading, so he went to open the door and then noticed her window was behind her. So, instead of just walking through the door like a normal person, he decided to go all the way around the castle and climb into her window quietly before sneaking up behind the girl and wrapping his arms around her with a giggle, wanting to scare her a bit. Well, not scare...startle would be a better word.

Anya was more than happy reading... it was some adventure book, which wasn't exactly her normal pick, but she was enjoying it anyway. It was a fun read, and she was just settling down so she wasn't planning on getting totally into it. Though, she had gotten into the book enough that she hadn't quite noticed when Sage slipped through her window quietly. And, it was safe to say, that the girl got a fright when the boy snuck up behind her. A squeak escaped her as she jumped a little, trying to wriggle out of his grasp before realising it was him and giving a defeated groan. The girl folded a corner of the book before placing it aside and falling back into him. "What do you want?" She huffed with a slightly raised brow and a pout. Though, there was an amused lace in her voice. She hadn't seen the boy all too much since he'd gotten back on his feet, mainly because she wanted him to have fun with Luther and enjoy himself a little.

Sage chuckled and pecked her on the cheek when she kind of cuddled in. "Nothing really. Just thought I'd drop in and keep you on your toes" he chuckled, releasing the girl and flopping down on his back next to her. "Whatcha reading?" (Super short I'm out lol)

(Dw!) Anya rolled her eyes before giving a light chuckle. "Keep me on my toes, huh?" she repeated with a hum before shaking her head and then rolling onto her side. "Nothing you'd like," she teased lightly. To be fair, Sage would probably rather enjoy the book... though, the boy would have to spend hours sitting there just to get through a couple of chapters. "You been having fun? I've been hearing the maids complaining about two boys running around and making a mess," the girl joked lightly. It was good for the two boys though... they wouldn't mess around so much unless they had an accomplice, and it was probably more fun that way, too.

Sage flashed the girl a grin. "I don't know about that. I might enjoy something you never would have guessed I'd like," he joked. Then he put on a poker face when Anya mentioned the maids complaining about him and Luther. "Well, I wonder who that could be," he mused in a fake thoughtful way. "I was being helpful so it couldn't have been me." They both knew it had been him and Luther, and so did probably everyone else at the castle, so that meant he could joke about it. Well, he'd joke about it either way because it was fun.

Anya gave a type of chuckle before prodding him in the side. "Oh, I wonder who it was then," she murmured in a fake thoughtfulness. "You know, I bet it was the queen. Running around like a lunatic," she teased before cocking her head at the boy and raising a brow. "What would I never have guessed you like Sage? I can't possibly imagine any kind of reading would be something you'd enjoy." She hummed in a jokey manner before leaning forwards and pressing a light kiss to his nose. The boy probably would enjoy reading... she just recalled him saying it was hard.

Sage nodded, grinning again. "Ah yes, the queen absolutely was throwing muddy snowballs at people in the hallway and running around screaming for three hours straight," he chuckled, squirming from the poke that somewhat tickled him. The queen would obviously never do that...though, in his opinion, she could stand to loosen up and have some fun just a bit more often. Maybe she wouldn't be so cranky if she could stand to let herself not worry every second of the day. He shrugged at her next question and chuckled. "Well, only if it has a good plot line," he admitted. "Though, listening to you read does make it a bit nicer than trying to make out all the words and fill in the gaps I can't figure out." Really, he liked art much more...he could understand it. But listening to Anya read was up there too, he had to admit that. Besides, he got to cop cuddles out of it so he'd do it without any issues. He did suppose he liked his cuddles and kisses.

The girl gave a small chuckle at the queen bit... the woman was uptight, and it was honestly difficult to believe the woman had ever been their age... ever been young and messed around. It kind of just seemed like she was dropped on the earth as an adult. The woman only ever seemed to have fun when she was planning some sort of formal or ball... which Anya was dragged into, but it wasn't exactly fun for the girl, much to her mother's dismay. She pouted at the boy for a second before furrowing her brows. "You like when I read to you? I'm surprised you don't get bored of my voice," she mused before rolling her eyes. "It's a good book, not my thing though. Borrow it if you'd like," she offered with a soft smiled before patting his side.

Sage chuckled at the girl and stick the tip of his tongue out at her. "Only sometimes," he teased her, wriggling around slightly when she patted him...why was it that such a tiny little touch tickled him? The girl liked it, he knew that, and he kind of liked it too but it just seemed kind of ironic. He wrinkled his nose slightly and shrugged. "I think I'll live without it. I'd rather draw," he admitted. Then he put on a fake thoughtful look. "Though I think having some time the two of us would be preferred," he told the girl, a slightly mischievous glint in his eyes. Maybe they could sleep together and not be interrupted by almost dying this time.

Anya chuckled softly at the boys teasing before leaning over him slightly. She pecked him on the nose before prodding him on the side again in a slightly teasing manner. "Alone time sounds good," the girl hummed softly before placing another quick kiss on his cheek. In truth, she was pretty excited to have some time with the boy now that he wasn't like, dying. He seemed pretty good, maybe even more so than before, or maybe he was just in a good mood. She's picked up his little mischievous glint though, and she was more than happy to return a more sly smirk. They were safe... no one was going to storm and try and kill them now. At least, the chances of that were certainly lower. That meant they could screw around if they so pleased. "Have your wounds scarred over yet?" the girl asked as she slipped cold hands under his shirt with a teasing chuckle. Edited at November 17, 2022 06:15 AM by Belle
