"Excuse me?" he raised a brow, looking up from his work at his desk. "You're eloping? Does my daughter mean nothing to you?" he fumed. Lorelei waited at the front door.

Lorelei bit her lip, getting nervous.

"Your daughter means everything to me, sir, and she wants this. I asked her. She brought it up. This wasn't at all my idea." Kai said calmly

Her father fumed, continuing to yell at Kai. Lorelei grew anxious, going to find them, her steps hurrying as she heard the yelling. She burst into the room, running over to Kai. "Daddy, stop! This is what I want!!"

Kai was growing frustrated now, his face a scowl. He gently wrapped an arm around Lorelei, barely keeping himself in check

Her father fumed. "Lorelei, this isn't what you want," he said sternly. "Daddy, we're getting married tonight, okay? You can be there if you want, but you don't have to be. I want you there, I really do, but this is happening," she replied. Her father grumbled, frustrated, looking a little defeated. "Fine," he grumbled.

"Thank you" Kai said to the man, steering Lorelei gently out of the room

Lorelei smocked his hand away, giving him the 'don't move me around like a thing' look, walking over to her father. She leaned up and kissed his cheek. "I want this, Dad, I really do," she murmured. He nodded.

He gave her an apologetic look , regretting his moving her as he ran a hand over her face. He walked to the car, starting it

Lorelei and her father had a moment, "I'll see you at the church?" she asked. "Of course, sweetpea," he murmured, kissing her head. Lorelei smiled. "I love you, Dad," she whispered. "I love you too, sweetpea," he murmured. Lorelei smiled, squeezing his hand and walking down to the car and got into the passenger seat.
