Yeah can be spots or smudges, they show up on your horses adult image in game - don’t show on foals. In real life though foals/youngsters can have them too

Don't enter anything AD into an SD futurity. AD is won by WEE+ combo geldings usually, sometimes an EEE will do really well and snag it. SD futurities are always W SD geldings
