Sage nodded when she said she'd probably still go, glad she was looking ahead. "You'll get out of here," he murmured. "They can't refuse the evidence we have," he added. Hopefully, he'd be out soon too, though that was a whole different ballgame. He did want her gone before he blew the place up though

Alleyah gave the shyest of smiles, her cheeks turning a faded shade of pink. She shrugged slightly. "You never know" She shook her head slightly. Her eyes suddenly switched from shy to haunted. "I wonder how my Mother is..."

Sage chuckled softly and shrugged. "I know what the judges like," he noted. "And you're clearly innocent." He cocked his head slightly when she mentioned her mother, humming in agreement. "Why don't you call her," he suggested. "Let her know what's going on?"

Alleyah shook her head. "She's probably drunk out of her mind. Or dead. There's the possibility that she drove herself into a tree or something. With her bad driving, it's very possible" She sighed slightly, her breath coming out a little jagged. "And my dad... well let's just say he's stuck in virtually the same predicament I am"

Sage hummed softly and nodded along. "My parents never were good either," he mused. "But I would think it would at least be good to know if she's dead or not," he added softly. He'd want that certainty, at least, if it were his parents. Well, he guessed he had it since he knew they were both gone by now ...but still.

Alleyah shrugged slightly, looking away. "yeah... I guess so... Is there any way I can talk to her tonight?"
| |
Sage pursed his lips slightly and cocked his head, thinking. "We could call her....see if she could come down here. Or just call her if you don't want to visit," he noted. "I can just tell me boss it's for the trial," he added with a shrug.

"I don't think seeing her would let me talk to her much, but it would be better than not getting to calm her down over the phone." Her eyes welled up with tears. Ally hadn't seen her mother in 2 years, and it had been too long. "She'd honestly come running" She chuckled a little, wiping away the tears that threatened to slip out

Sage nodded softly and offered her his phone again. "Do you know her number," he asked. "We can have her stop by," he added quietly. If that's what she wanted, then he would make it happen. He understood missing a mother was hard.

"Uhh..." Alleyah squeezed her eyes shut. "Yes. Yes I do" She carefully took his phone in her hands then dialed her mother's number. "Please answer. Please answer. Please- Mom?" On the third ring, her mother picked up the phone. "Ally?" The woman asked. Immediately, she could hear her mother bursting into tears which made Alleyah start crying too. "M-Mom" Ally whimpered. "Mom I need you to come to the prison so I can talk to you" She begged. Her mother "I never thought I would hear your beautiful voice again" She cried. "Mom please." There was silence. "I'll be there in 30 minutes" "Bye Mom" Ally said. Then she hung up and handed his phone back to him. "Thank you"
