Caden finished drink like two beers before walks out and down the street he knew that no one would be around but he wad wrong caden was almost to a side road when three shots came firing two hits him and the other one hit a building Caden groans before laying perfectly still and reaches for his phone and puts in 911 and the 911 said " what is you address of emergency " Caden said " I been shot off of hmm.. don't know can't really see good " 911 said " you said you been shot " Caden said " yes two times " 911 said " can you see any store names " Caden said " hmm... across the street of the bicycle shop" 911 said " okay I'll get a cops and ambulance on the way how are you holding up" caden said " thank you I feel like passing out " 911 said " try to stay awake can I ask are you a cop or not " Caden said " cop " 911 said " cop okay whats your name " caden said " c..." 911 said " hello" before saying " sir Don't pass out we need you awake" no answer but the line went dead

Kennedy woke up to the sound of what seemed like radio chatter, decpite her best efforts she did end up falling asleep. She listened to the chatter go off "Off duty cop gets shot this late at night..." She said slowly to herself before looking over at a clock it had been 3 hours since Caden had been gone. Kennedy immediately started to get worried so she picked up her phone and tried calling him, after a few rings it got sent to voice mail so she tried 4 more times and still the same thing. After that she jumped up and quickly put her boots back on, she grabbed her keys and went rushing out the door hoping to make it to the scene. Once she arrived saw blood pooled all over the sidewalk along with someone being loaded int othe ambulance. She went to walk on scene and mmedaitely got stopped "Let me through." She demanded with a stern voice while flashing her badge which the cop immediately lt her through. Kennedy went rushing up straight to the ambulance and right before they shut the door she stopped them "Do you have an ID on him?" She asked quickly, the EMT nodded then looked at his paper "This is Caden Anderson, detective with the NYPD" He said, autoatically her face dropped color and went pale "I'm catching a ride if you don't mind" She said quietly while hopping in and sitting beside Caden. The EMT shut the door and they were now off to the nearest hospital

Caden slowly woke but still in pain and in a half passing out looks as he trys to unjust to the white and the moving before groaning and looks at the nurse then at Kennedy thinking he was being brought to a location that he didn't know and Caden closed his eyes again before the nurse saying " sir can you hear me " Caden said " I....." before shutting down again this time passing out for sure and the nurse yelled " you guy better be there soon we might lose him " as they pulled in to the emergency door and the jumped out carting caden into the hospital and to the surgery room the captain got to the hospital and walks in spotting Kennedy and said " do you know what happen " as he walks towards her before watching the nurses move around fast and a nurse came up and said " do you know is caden had any family if so you my want to contact them " as the nurse walks away Annie didn't know what happen all she knew where she woke out to a empty house and she had no answer to her dad phone calls

Kennedy watched as Caden fought to stay conscious, her panic only groing more and more. When he passed out once again the nurses words, shut her down as well, she had no idea what to think or feel but she knew she felt like she couldn't breathe anymore as her hands started to shake as well. When they stopped she followed the EMTS in before getting told to wait in the waiting area as they rushed him back. She paced back and forth for a bit as she tried to get her breathe back but in the end couldn't, when the captian walked up to her she shook her head "N-no... I have no clue" She spoke through shallows breathes, when the nurse walked up and spoke she gasped slightly "Oh god Maddie... Please excuse me" She said to the captian before walking off. She called for a cab since her car got left at the scene and headed back for Cadens home where she was going to get Maddie and bring her back. That entire car ride thoug Kennedy could not stop shaking and her breathing only became more of a problem

Maddie walks around worrying before calling her mom and said " mom I can't get a hold of my dad and I am worrying " her mom who was Susan said " did you call the captain or police " Maddie said " no but what would I say my dad disappeared " Susan said " calm down he probably just taking a walk" Maddie said " in his car he had his parnter over but she is not here either something is wrong and he is not answering his calls " Susan said " okay I am on my way there I'll be there as soon as my plane lands you just text me if anything changes " Maddie nods to herself and said " okay mom " as she hangs up and shakes before looking around

When Kennedy finally reached the house she orded the cab driver to stay there, she got out of the car and rushed into the house. She took a few deep breaths before holding it so she didn't seem like a complete panicked wreck. "Maddie!" She called out and walked to the girls room knocking "Maddie, sorry if this is sudden but you have to come with me" She said while entering the room, her hands were visibly shakey but her breathing and face seemed normallay, hopefully it'd be good enough to not get Maddie to panic

Maddie walks out and said " what is wrong why is my dad not answering he never leaves the house with out telling me why" as she looks at her something was off and she knew it before said " what's wrong what happen " as she was worrying now and wanted the truth not lies as she looks at her and then looks down before going to get her phone and bag

Kennedy opened her mouth to speak but closed it again, she didn't know whether to lie to the girl or tell her the truth, when Maddie spoke again she looked up -Guess she's not buying it...- Kennedy thought before sighing but still keeping up her somewhat normal demeanor "Something happened with your father and he's in the hospital... I will fill you in more on the situation once we get to the hospital but for now he is not doing well" Kennedy spoke softly while trying to push tears away. She walked back to the front door and waited for Maddie there

Maddie rush towards the door and said " let's go " as she walks out and to the taxi and got in before waited in the car then looks out the window the doctors and nurses try the best with the surgery before they took him to a room and the doctor took the papers and walks over to the captain and said " he is in critical condition the guy who shot him left him for dead he was shot in the lung and on the side of the rib cage almost near his heart he was lucky "

kennedy nodded and walked out the door and made sure to lock it. She hopped in the cab and within thiry minutes they were back at the hospital. Kennedy lead Maddie in and back to the waiting room "Sweetie you should go sit and I'm going to figure out if they have any updates on your father" She said whhile gently pushing Maddie to some empty chairs. Kennedy then walked up to the captian "Please tell me there is some good news" She said with a small desperate tone as her demeanor went back to the panic filled face
