Sage blinked slowly and then noticed she was running back to the hotel so he took off and climbed back into the balcony. He started pacing again, wondering what had just happened. Who was that boy? Maybe Roxie was right and he was nothing more than a plaything for Maxine too. A pet. He growled in frustration and paced even more frantically. |

Max had gotten another ginger and followed the advice of her friend from the store and was glad for his advice when she checked her phone calender wow... it had been that long? she thought. When she got back upstairs she hid the box shed bought and went in sipping on her ginger ale "Hey... I'm sorry I-" she broke off seeing him so antasy "What's wrong?" she asked. |

Sage turned around to glance at her and then kept pacing. "Nothing. Everything. I don't know." He jerked his head in the direction of the market. "Who hugged you, anyway? What's going on?" That was the first thing on his mind so that's what came out, but that was, in reality, not even one of the most important things he was stressing about at that moment. |

Max looked confused briefly "Did you follow me?" she asked her eyes narrowing "What the hell Sage?" she asked crossing her arms as she looked at him "You're acting like a psycho!" she snapped. Yeah on her part it was a bit of an overreaction but she had so much more on her mind now. |

He threw his arms up in the air. "Well forgive me for being worried when you didn't come back for over an hour," he snapped. "It's not like I'm trying to make sure we stay alive or anything!" |

"Oh screw you Sage!" she snapped "It was only half an hour! I needed to sit and sip on my ginger ale because my stomach was queasy again!" she hissed "And by the way that guy was just being nice!" she snapped "He saw me sitting and asked if I was okay!" she snapped at him. |

He crossed his arms. "And this is the same guy as yesterday, no?" He shook his head. "I don't care if you stay there but at call me and tell me so I don't freak out even more than I already am," he snarled. He knew he was going overboard, they should try and talk about it, but he was too riled up and worried to think straight. |

"What do you mean?" she asked narrowing her eyes and going over to him smacking his face rather hard "Don't you dare accuse me of cheating!" She snapped at him "I love you Sage so don't you dare accuse me of cheating! Especally now!" she snapped taking the box with the pregnancy tests in it and throwing it at his chest her eyes welling with tears before she went into the bathroom "So screw you!" she shouted slamming the door. |

He jerked back, eyes widening in shock. She hit him. She had promised him no one would ever hurt him like that again but she had hit him. He stepped back slowly, putting his hands up. "Fine. It's gonna be that way then. I get it, you wanted to play with your new toy." He shook his head, face hardening. "Well I hope it was fun." He turned and walked to the balcony, saying "maybe it's time you started treating me like the attack dog I am and not something more" before slamming that door behind him. He sat down heavily, eyes widening and his heart feeling like it was tearing open. He leaned his head against the wall and closed his eyes painfully, trying to keep the tears in. He hadn't cried in years. Why was he acting like this now? And what was going to happen? She could give him back to death, would she do that? Would she send him off to fade? What? |

She spent the next 30 minutes in the bathroom sobbing her eyes out, she couldn't believe him... and she couldn't believe what she'd done... she'd promised nobody would hurt him and she'd done just that... and man did she hate herself for it... with everything going through her head and the fact that he'd thought she'd cheat on him? In the head of the moment her head had taken over. After a while she came out of the bathroom looking for Sage... eventually she went out to the balcony her eyes puffy and full of tears her face was red and tear stained as she looked at him "Sage...?" she whimpered "I'm so sorry..." she whimpered. |
