He snorted out a laugh. "No, it's not you, it's me. I have literally never been loved or loved anyone else and it all seems really weird." He chuckled dryly. "I want to, and I think I do, but I don't even know what love feels like." He shrugged and looked down.

She looks at him listening to him talk "do you trust me?" she asked, her voice was soft and a bit shakey as she spoke she bit her lip slightly "I can show you but I need you to trust me" she said to him before sitting on her knees in front of him she gently took hold of his hands and held them.

I blinked and then nodded slowly. "You're the only person I can trust in this crazy world." He smiled thinly. "Besides, I dunno if you could hurt me even if you tried," he joked playfully.

Ellie giggled softly she slowly leaned forward and gently kissed him on the lips it was only for a second before she pulled away and blushed looking at him.

He blushed slightly, but found that the touch, as small and light as it was, warmed his body up. Maybe he could be happy. He smiled softly. "I think we'll manage."

"manage what?" she asked a bit confused she tilts her head as she looks at him.

He chuckled slightly. "Life."

"oh ok" she shifts closer to him after turning around, her head laid against his chest as she sat between his legs she cuddled up to him then looks up at him she smiled softly.

He wrapped his arms around her and looked up at the sun. It was almost time for it to start setting, and he wasn't sure what time Ellie usually went to bed. He normally stayed awake, but he didn't think he had to, at least not all night. But it wouldn't hurt to stay up.

Ellie smiled softly as she watched the sun set she sighs softly relaxed in his arms she felt safe as she cuddled closer.
