| River, I was a nobody in High School, til 1 boy said "Hi" to me one day in the hall. I asked him bluntly why he took the time to do that. He said I always had a sad or mad look on my face so no one dared to acknowledge me. From that day on I smile at strangers- and sometimes say "Hi". It's amazing how nice it is when some of them return the gesture. Seems simple, but it's not. Its hard. It's good though. |

| River Is there some kind of group activity you can join? A club? Do you play a sport? That might be a way to meet people. |

| So, today was the first day at my new school, not good to say the least, the most I got was the kids acknowledging that I was even there, sat alone at lunch, you know, so tomorrow, what should I do different? |
