After hours he was silently crying, knees to his chest before he took a breather, standing and starting to head back to camp.Gale walked back, eyes red, face slightly wet.

Kayla had fallen asleep, knees still pulled up to her chest, daggers still on her hips
| |

He winced slightly at the sight.Gale had brought her through everything, yet she still followed and cared for him but, did he feel the same for her? That is a question that cannot yet be answered.

Kayla's eyes fluttered open at his noise, her hand flying to her dagger before she sighed and stood. She walked to him, wrapping her arms around him. "I'm so scared, Gale..."
| |

He was taken aback at her words, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close. "What is it you're scared of?"

"Well that's not very helpful, can you be more specific?" Gale asked, voice soft.

"My brother....and the future..."
| |

"You can't get rid of the past, but you can figure out how to carry it.It'll be with you forever, so at this point, you gotta get used to it and focus on what's going on now.Not then,or tomorrow, but now, today."

Kayla didn't respond, burying her face in his chest
