Camery glanced back at him for a moment, her brows pinching together as she grabbed her jacket. She wandered back over, pressing a soft kiss to the little hair she could reach. "Love you," she muttered quietly before wandering out towards the door. She made her way down to the guardens, and sat herself down in one of the little white chairs. She just sat in the cold for a while, her mind wandering. She knew he didn't quite understand her sarcasm - he didn't banter with her the way she would with most. Everything was very literal with him, and she knew he didn't like it when she teased him without the intention of following through, but she was fully intending on following through after she'd had enough of teasing. Yeah, she had a feeling staying the night together before their wedding wouldn't be a... great idea. She'd had better ideas, oh yeah, for sure, but she wouldn't be pressured into doing something just because he was grumpy about it. It felt like that a lot now. She didn't want him to be upset, so she'd always try and fix it by giving him what he wanted, but even then he'd just turned her away. The idea of it all just made her heart ache in s way she didn't understand. Still, after a moment or two, she realised she had just left her husband to be alone in the room he had claimed he couldn't sleep without her in. She sighed and ran her hand through her hair as she stood up, slowly wandering back up towards their room.

As soon as she left he felt awful. He started sobbing violently, awful thoughts storming his brain. Did he just loose the one woman he lived for? The only woman he'd ever loved? All he ever wanted we her... did he just ruin the marriage he hadnt even begun? As he panicked, his magic began to slip. He'd never lost control of his powers before... shadows leaked from his body, the room becoming a vessel of black fog. Dark, never ending night. The shadows terrorized him, clawed at him. His nervous stomach got the best of him and he flung himself up and ran to the bathroom, vomiting up everything in his stomach into the toilet. He collapsed onto the ground, completely loosing it. The shadows emitting from his own body clawed at him, whispering those bad thoughts, screaming, memories, self shame. Kai sobbed on the ground, slowly going crazy, unable to escape it. He clawed at the ground, begging to get away from the shadows and darkness secreting from his own skin.

Cam made it back up towards the room. She wasn't really sure weather she wanted to go in or not but... we'll, she couldn't just not see to the man she loved. It was their wedding tomorrow, and she didn't want to leave it like that. She stood outside of the door for a moment, a slight shiver running up her spine. Something didn't feel quite right. Still, she wandered in quietly, her eyes widening at the state of the room. "Malakai?!" She asked quickly, spotting the shadows and the empty to bed and... the shadows were coming from the bathroom. She rushed over, panicked but of course wanting to see to him. She never wanted him to be upset - but she also needed him to be safe. She didn't know what any of this was. She saw him on the floor, and grabbed a blanket before rushing in. "Baby I'm here," she whispered, just to he knew it was actually like... her. She threw the blanket over to him before dropping to her knees, admittedly terrified of... whatever this was.

The shadows around him were smothered by the blanket, and she, she was like a personal sunray. Probably the night magic effects with the day magic in her. He practically flung himself at her, sobbing and hyperventilating. It was a long long time for him to calm down enough to notice something wasn't the same with him physically. His hands, now the darkest of black talons, scales stretching to his elbows. Twisted, ebony black horns erupted from his head, angled backwards. His tattoos glowed that dark purple, now not only on his skin, but decorated his wings, which no longer felt weak or sensitive, but rather powerful and strong. He looked at his hands, talons rather and scrambled backwards away from her, afraid of himself, afraid he'd hurt her, afraid she'd be terrified of him and whatever he was now. Wide eyed, he tucked himself into the corner, only now realizing he'd actually been able to do significant damage to the tile floor. He'd destroyed half of this bathroom, just with his talons. He didn't know what was going on...

Camery held him tight as he collapsed into her, holding him tight for a moment before he ripped away from her. The room was still so clouded by that black smoke, and the only light she could possibly see was the light that was surrounding both her and his wings. Her brows pinched together, incredibly worried, until her eyes landed on his talons. She looked near terrified for a moment, looking over the flooring that had been ripped up. He'd just done that... she didn't know what was going on. His magic was so... strong. She didn't know what was happening, or why, but she just wanted to help him. She looked over at his horns, her brows pinching together. He looked so scared, and she just wanted to help. She drew in a deep breath, and crawled over to him, carefully trying to avoid the sharpened tiles. "Malakai," she whispered softly, and gently ran her hands up his biceps, and gently squeezed him lightly. "You're alright, baby," she whispered gently. "I've got you," she muttered worriedly.

Kai looked up at her, completely terrified. He tucked his knees to his chest, tucking his talons in his lap, scared he'd hurt her. He just nodded and leaned into her, sobbing.

Cam furrowed her brows and after a moment, hesitantly wrapped her arms around him. She didn't want him to hurt her - but she didn't want to leave him like this. He looked terrified. She held him tight, gently rubbing his back. "You're alright," she promised him softly. "I've got you, baby," she repeated gently to him, clearly so, so worried about him.

"What is wrong with me?" he sobbed, staring at his talons.

Camery shook her head and sat back a little, gently wiping his tears from his face. Her brows pinched together, admittedly very... worried about it all. "I'm not sure," she whispered, gently tapping his chin to make him look up at her. "But just... just take a deep breath. Try and calm down, yeah?" Maybe it would help... but she couldn't be sure. Magic got stronger when you were upset or emotional, and Malakai always had a lot of emotions. Maybe something pushed him over the edge this time.

Kai eventually started to calm down. With that, he went back to normal, calming down. His tattoos went back to black, his talons disappeared along with his horns. He had no clue what just happened.
