Sage pulled back again after a moment, nodding in agreement. "That's settled then," he mused. "They're going to call you to tell your story," he murmured after a moment. "Just do your best...give them all the details you can think of. Don't leave anything out, and give the whole truth each time. No lies. They can tell and it could hurt your chances of being claimed innocent," he noted.

Alleyah nodded quickly. "I have no reason to lie. There's a possibility of freeing me, so I'm going to be the innocent girl I have been the whole time" She said with a slight lift of her chin.

Sage nodded with a grin when she spoke up. "Good," he noted, shuffling through the papers one last time to make sure everything was in order. "Then I think we're all set for tomorrow morning...but I have a feeling you don't want to go back to your cell yet so we can say we're working longer," he noted with a wink

|
Alleyah smiled. "Thank you" She pushed a paper out of the way then laid back on the blanket, her eyes trained on the clouds. "If I do get out of here, do you think I could go back to college and play softball again?" She looked over at Sage, her eyes sad, yet there was a slimmer of hope in them.

Sage moved to flop back against the blanket when that's what she did too. "Sure," he noted. "From all the news articles I've read about you, you're pretty good at it," he mused. "Can't say I've played a day in my life," he admitted. "But you seem pretty good to me," he added with a chuckle. He glanced over at her, offering her a smile. "If there's one thing I've learned is that there's always hope. It just isn't always...super prominent in the situation "

"Stupid high school sports articles" Ally rolled her eyes. "I was one of two students that was accepted into the University of Alabama for softball." She sighed. "Wait- did I hear that right?" She sat up to stare down at him. "You've never played? Scar, how is that possible?"

|
Sage chuckled softly when she mentioned the articles. "Well, congratulations I suppose," he mused. When she sat up and spoke up again though he gave her a sheepish grin and shook his head. "I went from high school to the military and served in the middle east during the war, then came back and got this job," he noted. "Never had time to get into a sport or anything," he added with a shrug. It wasn't a complete lie...that's what had happened, only he barely got through highschool, passing with mostly Ds, and lived on the streets the whole time .

Alleyah gave a slight nod of her head. "It feels weird to say I miss school, but I do. If I do go to college, I'll be nearly 20 years old freshman year" She rubbed the back of her neck a little. "If I get out, I'll restart life as a single 19 year old living with her mom. " She laid back down, staring at the clouds again. "But, I'll be free"

|
Sage chuckled softly and shrugged. "Well, in my opinion, if you've got a shot to go to college I'd take it," he noted. He probably would have, if he'd been able to. Unfortunetly, that cost money he didn't have. Besides, no one would want him in their program, since he could barely get through passign high school.

Allehay nodded a little. "Yeah, I probably will" She shrugged slightly, moving to look at Sage. A light blush crossed her cheeks before she looked away
