she's probably good yeah, it may depend on the horse (I haven't done a whole lot of experimenting with it) but I figure that's what the "enter and see what happens" YOLO stage is for. if they get a good result, awesome! if they're just outside the money, they might need another week

And premium ...could score 7-5 place wise maybe. I do normally enter ones like that *shrugs*

So because she has a bar higher in a couple of her dressage traits but is low in one would you show her? Or wait until shes trained more?

luna - oh noooo :O that's so interesting though, I know some people do SD training on some horses until they max out and then swap, I find I'm more of an AD "show each type when they're in the money" kinda player I think lol

Lol most of mine are on the bm and then I switch the rest after those show in the beginning of the week and the last ones will show in the end of the week but I forgot to feed them this morning and by the time I remembered It was too late and she entered shows already

09:41:56 Gladius
yeah luna totally, I only have 200ish and I chucked most of them on the barn manager for when I can't be bothered or miss entering shows x-x

Ah, yeah I dont understand that side of it. If I lose money for that horse Ill train them a bit more. But having roughly 1k horses to hand enter right now. Ill take the loss as long as Im making som profit

it's just an extra indicator for me, mostly because someone had made a showing spreadsheet an dI got the pattern of placing indicating how ready they may be. because sometimes when they get the fresh bars, they still don't place well because they haven't had rl time in the level. seems to help
Painted Perfection
09:37:08 Luna
I dont check places or dates. I just train them and show them until they level up in that discipline and then train again until they have enough bars in the new level then enter again

tracking the training does help to an extent too because then I know how long they've had that training, or since they leveled up (kinda). but I tend not to fuss that bit. I could probably optimize more but -shrug-
Gaelic Gladiacres

*haven't had a show in the last month
Gaelic Gladiacres
09:35:04 Gladius
oh totally that's how I start--check all their bars, compare to level (I just use the easy show enter drop down to see the level) then if they've shown in the last month pop them in a show to have that date on the show page and what place they got, then adjust
Painted Perfection
09:33:59 Luna
The bar method is easy because I can look at their level and then look at the bars and be like..oh this horse is lacking a bar in mv so I cant enter dressage yet. But they have enough for jumping so I can put them in a jumping show instead. Etc.
Gaelic Gladiacres
09:33:29 Gladius
yeaaaah it can definitely use some improvement. clicking the button to get the bars but having to click out before selecting anything else gets old x-x just let me float it or it disappears on click on another element, that'd be a huge QOL upgrade I think
Painted Perfection
09:32:23 Luna
Thats why I do the bar method because the easy show enter page.. I need visuals for all of the numbers. I cant look at dates and stuff and know when to enter again after theyve had to train. I get confused.

Serpant lifted his head with his ears about as forward as they could go, nickering happily and prancing sideways a little before blowing out a snort and shaking his mane. He then nuzzled Sun's neck, looking about as pleased with himself as a horse could look. Ryker laughed at this, looking amused. "Lovebirds." he stifled a snort.

Abby giggled at the two "what color would their foal be though?" Abby suddenly stopped and stared at Ryker. "We could put them in a pasture together and see what happens!!!" She shrugged her left shoulder, creeping closer to Ryker "maybe in a year she'll pop!" She grinned and stepped away

"DAPPLED SEAL BROWN." Ryker hooted with a laugh. "That would be beautiful but it probably wouldn't happen." He chuckled, tilting his head as Abby stopped and stared at him. "Ha! Honestly at the rate they're going..." He paused, looking at the two. "It wouldn't take long." he joked.

"Should we???" She grabbed the lead rope to her pony while she sniffed Serpants mane. He obviously smelled good because she kept sticking her head under his mane. Abby looked at the tall guy, kind of surprised that she wasn't scared of him anymore. She pushed his chest just for fun.

"You know what... it wouldn't be the worst idea ever. Do you know what her lines are?" Ryker inquired with a slight muse, nodding slowly, picking up Serpant's lead rope as well. The stallion was standing there, content, probably memorizing Sun's scent.

Abby nodded "she is the second daughter of Paint me a Pepto and Power (the horse that is in Walk Ride Rodeo). I'm really surprised she didn't come out black since both are black horses." She pulled Suns head out of Serpants mane with a giggle and led her to an empty pasture behind the barn. Sun had a fit when they passed behind the barn where he could be seen. She tossed her head and tried to go back to him. She stopped at the fence and calmed her horse down.

"Wow." Ryker looked surprised, glancing at Sun. "Serpant is out of Machine Made and Jets Top Gun. No idea why a Western Pleasure champion and a Barrel Racing champion were bred, but it produced a horse with great conformation that has some kick." He stated, smiling a little as Sun looked unhappy being away from Serpant. The stallion stomped a hoof, his ears flicking back, letting out a snort. "Chill down bud." Ryker rolled his eyes, walking towards Abby and near the pasture.

It was the only two I could think of Lol)

Abby smiled as she walked Sun into the pasture and let her roam for a minute. Sun trotted around, her head and tail high in the air. Abby watched her mare from her spot on the fence. She started thinking about Ryker... how cute he was. She shook her head and watched as her mare trotted back to the fence line. Abby stayed leaning against it before deciding to sit on top of the fence. She forgot how clumsy she was and started wobbling a little. She hooked her feet on the fence to keep herself up but it only worked for a second. "Woah!" She cried as she started falling forward.

Ryker unclipped the lead rope and let Serpant free in the pasture.
The stallion immediately bolted off towards Sun, slowing and prancing in a circle before cantering away with a joyous whinny, bucking a little along the way. As Abby started to fall off the fence Ryker tried not to take a moment to shake his head and sigh, darting forward and grabbing her. "I literally have to stay by your side forever or you'll find another way to hurt yourself." He shook his head now with a small chuckle putting her down.

When he grabbed her she didn't fight. +I wouldn't mind that+ she thought but couldn't help but giggle "I bet that's the only thing I'm good at" she watched as Sun stood in the middle of the pasture, watching the stallion show off. "Maybe we should leave them be for a while?" She stared up at Ryker then back at the horses, staying close to him. He was her support pole now.
