I walk away from her finding a lead rope and walking back. I open the gate and step around the mud, clipping the lead rope to her halter and guiding her out of the paddock. And to say I was pissed was the minimum. I was furious. But I don't act on it behind infront of Ollie and Rain. I take a deep breath, and once we get out of the paddock onto the hard ground I stop her. I look at Oliver. "Can you hold her please? I want to check her over before getting on her." I say polity. Holding out the lead rope to her, eyes scanning over Rains body. She seems a little to thin...

I stay on the fence line as Lili walks away for a moment when she returns with a lead rope I just watch as she leads Rain out of the pasture. I hop off the fence and stand at a good distance as to not disturb her or the horse. Then she asked be a dreadful question "Can you hold her please?" She asks politely, I freeze for a moment "Uh I-..." I was going to say no but I just couldn't "Ok..." I say quietly coming over and holding the lead rope, making sure I as far as possible from Rain but that didn't work for long. As Lili was checking over her, the horse reached her head over and began to sniff me. I freeze and stand completely still, scared with how close she was.

I'm checking over Rain's body and I notice she might have a hurt ankle and they haven't been feeding her what she needs. Aka, her medicine. I sigh and look up at Ollie. I notice her tense up as Rain starts to sniff her. And- oh. That's why. I walk over to her and take the lead rope away, pulling her to me and hugging her. "I'm sorry... I didn't know you were scared of them... Rain won't hurt you..." I mutter into her neck. Inwardly cursing myself out for having her come.

I untense as Lili takes the lead rope and pulls me into a hug. I scold myself for letting her know that I was scared of them as now I just ruined her mood. "No Lili, it's okay... I'm just scared cause of how big they are and I don't know if you noticed but I'm tiny compared to them." I admit to her quietly, Rain came up behind my back and started nudging me gently and I freeze once more "What is she doing?" I murmur quietly to Lili

"She's making sure your alright. Horses can feel your emotions... so if your scared she is. It's like me jumping I have to feel confident I'm going to go over it or she'll stop..." I tell her, releasing her from the hug and walking over to Rain. I pat her on the neck. "Would you like to go wait for me in the barn? Or would you like me to help you be less afraid of them?" I ask, scratching Rains neck softly. Eyes saying "you don't have to if you don't want to i wont force you to do anything."

I listen to her words carefully and start to untense slowly as to not scare Rain. As she releases me from the hug and walks over to Raoin, I see how confident and calm she is with the horse. Like she has full trust in her. At her question I think about it for a moment "Can you help me?" I ask her quietly as I really wanted to learn how to be comfortable around horses so I could spend more time with Lili

I smile and nod. "Yes, maybe you should start with Rain. Come here please." I ask her. She walks over to me, standing by my side. "To let her get used to you and you to her, stick out your hand and lay it flat. She will sniff it and warm up to you. Also if you stay calm she will to. If your scared she'll be more skittish. So try to stay calm." I tell her, taking her hand in mine and putting both of our hands in front of her face, Ollie's on top of mine. Rain leans her head down to Oliver's hand and sniffs it. I feel Ollies hand tense in mine and I squeeze it lightly, in a calming gesture. Rain lowers her head after awhile and hangs it there. I chuckle at the gesture, "she wants you to scratch her neck." I tell Oliver, gently taking her hand and placing it on Rains soft neck.

I nod and come stand by her side. At the thought of sticking my hand out for her to sniff I immeadiately become anxious but I try to remain calm. I let Lili take my hand and put it out, as soon as Rain began to sniff my hand I tensed up immeadiately but feeling Lili gentle gesture calmed me down a bit more. I let Rain siff my hand a bit more, her breathing was warm on my hand. At her next gesture I raise a brow before Lili speaks "Oh.." Was all I said as she brought my hand up to the mares neck. I hold it there for a bit before starting to scratch at it lightly, not wanting to hurt her.

I nod "That's good. Good job." I mutter into her shoulder. "Would you like to try with Domino now?" I ask her looking at her while carassing Rain's ankle. She's definitely going to need some healing. "Or would you like to stick with being around Rain for a little?" I ask her, standing back up and turning to face her. She doesn't stop petting Rains neck and I smile. "She's soft isn't she?" I ask her.

I smile as she mutters into my shoulder. I continue to scratch at Rains not, she felt very soft and fuzzy. I was starting to enjoy being around the horse now. At her question I look over at her but still didn't bring my hand away from her neck. "I guess we could try Domino" I tell her quietly before smiling at her next question as she walks up. "Yeah, really soft." I agree quietly and move my hand to the mares shoulder giving her more scratches.
