Ella listened to Sage speak with a. smile on her face, though it dropped ever so slightly at the reply to her question about his wound. She hated seeing it hearing about him being in pain, she just felt so..bad. "I understand. I hope we find painkillers before we go. I'd ask for some but they obviously won't listen. It's all 'sure i'll get you some' and then they 'forget'" Ella sighed, relaying her thoughts into words from experience. She nodded in agreement at his comment about sleep, amazed by the fact it only took his sentence to make her feel tired. "Good idea" Ella smiled, reaching across Sage to grab her nightdress. She dissapeared into the bathroom to change, it only taking a few minutes. Soon enough she emerged from the bathroom, and settled herself into the bed.

Sage grunted in response to her comments and nodded. "They're not the nicest people out there," he mused with a sort of shrug. That was just true ...and it wasn't going to change either. He was used to that. And it wasn't his first time being hurt like this either. Maybe he hadn't been stabbed in quite this way....but death wasn't a complete stranger anymore, and pain was pretty much just a close neighbor at this point. He nodded when she agreed to going to bed though, and nestled into the bed comfortably as she got ready, already asleep by the time she got back.

It hadn't taken Ella long to fall asleep, she was pretty tired from the day. She wasn't wrong about being woken up though, the banging on the door startled her quite some bit. Her eyes fluttered open, and once she had regained her composure, she let out a small moan, stuffing her head back into the pillow. Ella knew they were coming early, travelling early in the morning was the safest way to get around. But at 5 in the morning? was a bit too early for her liking. After about a minute she rolled herself over and nudged Sage, though she was incredibly careful so she didn't cause him too much pain, before heading over to the door to tell them they'll be out soon.

Sage had known it was coming, thought side from the initial jump and siege of adrenaline as he woke, he didn't move. He really didn't want to get up.... Wouldn't 6 world just as well as this? He sort of just closed his eyes again sleepily, thought he opened them with a groan when Ella nudged him. He sighed slightly and struggled to get up before trying to gather up his few outfits and all as possible as possible. Admittedly, it wasn't very possible, and it still took quite a while, so by the time he'd managed to get onto the wagon, he pretty much just collapsed on the bench with a pained huff of air and passing out again. And he had to admit, he preferred that too being awake at the moment. He hadn't torn stitches, somehow, but the wound did feel worse than normal. Much worse. Hopefully, after sleeping and laying around for a bit or would be better. At least, he just hopped he wouldn't wake to a bump in the road tearing him open again. That wouldn't be very fun

Ella had settled herself in the wagon rather quickly, in the corner away from the sunlight that was streaming into it. She hadn't had to get her stuff ready herself, the guards seemed more than happy to do it for her- which really didn't bother her. Though Sage had pretty much passed out immediately, Ella found herself wide awake and with some amount of energy as they set off, and she simply sat there and listened to the sounds of the hooves as they rolled down the gravel path, through to the gates. She wasn't exactly scared of where they were being taken- more dreading the long journey and the basic solitary confinement as the castle was repaired. Who knew how long it would actually take.

Sage had, admittedly, rested his head on the girl's leg when he flopped down. There wasn't a whole lot of room in the wagon, and the seats were rather hard, so subconsciously he's put his tired head on the coziest thing he could find. That just so happened to be her. He wasn't aware of it, since he was so tired and his head was swimming, but he slept soundly for most of the journey, only waking up with a groan when the carriage stopped.

Ella was more than happy to let Sage rest his head on her leg, and after a while she rested her hand on his shoulder, eventually falling asleep. Soon enough they arrived at the destination, and she was jolted away by the sudden halt of the cart and a couple loud whinnies from the horses. She gently shook Sage to wake him up, looking out at the destination. The house itself didn't look too bad. It was white, had slightly overgrown plants and, well..looked normal. Though it was definitely much smaller than the palace, or even a quarter of the palace. She hauled herself out after Sage had moved, watching as a couple of the guards instructed them to move.

Sage groaned slightly when he woke and the wagon jostled him, though he struggled up so he was sitting up, shaking his head slightly to get the grogginess out of his eyes and head before grabbing his tiny bag and slipping out of the carriage. He waited for Ella to come after him, and the guards piled all her stuff in the living room before they pitched a sort of shelter outside t...well...guard her. The rest left with the wagon, though once he got inside the house he figured out why they weren't staying in it soon enough. There was really only room for one ....they'd be a bit crowded in there the two of them. But whatever. Could be worse. So, he just dropped onto the couch with a sigh, mumbling "finally, were here."

"How are you feeling?" Ella asked, speaking only after the two got settled in the rather small house. It was smaller on the inside than it actually looked from the outside, which seemed to be a first. After she had managed to bring herself back to reality from zoning out, she looked around the living room, her gaze settling on just how crowded it seemed like it could get. It wasn't dirty, unkempt or anything negative. Just a bit small. "I hope we don't have to stay here for long" she sighed, catching the eye briefly of one of the guards through the window.

Sage grunted slightly in response to her comment and shrugged, giving her a tired grin. "Tired but ok," he mused. He hurt too, but he hurt before they'd left too. "nothing opened up so I'm counting my blessings," he mused, sliding down to flop onto his side on the couch. He cast a glance into the bedroom, cheeks coloring slightly when he noticed the small bed. It was decorated though….clearly meant for a closely knit couple. "Erm….I don't mind staying out here," he commented, pointing at the room. There was no bathroom there or anything, so they'd have to change around eachother. He didn't mind so much, but he wasn't so sure about her.
