Lion flicked his ears and opened his eyes. The scent was gone, so he walked over to where he thought it had come from. Lion recoiled as he smelled a stallion... right here... watching them. That couldn't Be good. Lion decided to stay on alert, his ears pinned in anger

the mare heard his stirring movments and got quite startled.

"lion? what is it?" she half mumbled. she got up and insticitvly shook with her ears alert.

"Somebody was here." Lion said stiffly. "Lets go." He muttered, swishing his tail and starting off back towards the middle of his territory

"lion you must be imagining things..." she mumbled.

the stallion who had been long gone by now knew lion was awake and grinned. he would have smelt him, which would mean he wouldn't get a proper sleep, equaling in a pooper attack tommorow! then he'll crash with a large barrel and shoulder ingury. which would leave the mare to us! he thought joyfully.

Lion heaved a sigh. "Fine. You can sleep a little longer... but we are leaving in the morning." He said grumpily, glaring around

"seriously.." the mare grumbled. she ploped back down and stared at him innocently.

"come on! you can fight anyone!" she moaned, "why give up your amazing territory!"

"Because I can't fight a whole herd of stallions! I'm only one horse, and I'm not the crazy idiot I was back then!" Lion snorted. He calmed his breathing, trying not to get angry. "I'm sorry.. I'm just tense," he said quietly, flicking his tail

"why do you think there be a whole herd? probaly just an idoit stallion who thinks they know what their doing but don't. Come on! I'm a very good looking mare!" she explained. inside she though it was his imagination, but she wouldn't say it out loud as he will go if she says that.

Lion looked confused. "When did I ever say you weren't good looking mare?" He flicked his ears. "Oh never mind I have a feeling you think I'm an idiot right now. Just go to bed.. it's fine." Lion sighed and glanced at the bushes again. Lion realized soon after what she meant, and even he thought -duh-

the mare snorted as she went back to sleep. she sighed. He was sometimes a idiot. but right now he was acting like any stallion would. but he still couldn't take the hints...
