| Not a roommate, thank god, but when I was living in the university apartments there kept being a smell of sewage or something in the hallway. It was bad enough I had to hold my breath. They cleaned the carpets a few times and nothing helped. Ultimately, they went door to door and discovered the guy across the hall hadn't taken his trash out (???) and he claimed he couldn't smell it |

| My mother's best friend got a call from her son during his freshman year because he was freaked out by beer in the communal fridge. She was asking my mother for advice. My mother told her all of her kids would have been the ones stocking the beer |

| I thought I had it bad with a downright filthy roommate who stole my clothes and cried when I wouldn't let her take my car on a 3 hour roadtrip. She literally had her mom call me to beg to use my car to drive from Philly to DC and was genuinely shocked when I said no. 1 month into living together. |
