Aaah I love hearing about everyone’s weddings/wedding plans! We’re getting married in Japan then coming home for a party and handfasting ceremony at a beautiful medieval house/garden round the corner. There is a church in the grounds but will probably just take some photos outside it for my grandparents 😂

I had my wedding outside under a birch arch my dad and grandpa made for my wedding. My advice for an outdoor wedding is not to wear a big poofy one so many and I mean so many flies went up the outer layer of my dress on the inside from sweeping on the grass. Even a bee that was fun but it worked out. Once it was time to go inside I had to keep shaking my dress to get the flies out lol

the travel bug bit me hard as a teen and because of that, money is a must if I want to keep exploring - don't need crazy amounts but I definitely can't follow my delusional dream of just having a tiny homestead situation and being self sufficient

@oak Ah yes. I have learned about myself from observing some of my coworkers. One is a lot like me, I've come to realize. O.o A bit unnnerving. lol

When we were planning our wedding, my mother gave me endless crap for not having it in a church. Just made me sad, really. The optics of it were more important to her than respecting that her daughter and future son-in-law are not religious. We're both atheists. We ended up eloping because she became so insufferable

@scorpion Holy moly! :D That sounds grand! @quality I'd rather homestead then slave away making a town of money in a place I'm not happy. @bay :) @fawn *nods*

Gem, honestly, it all falls into place. I hate to be cliche, but every relationship, romantic or otherwise, does teach you something. Either about yourself or about what you want (or don't want) in a partner. Best bit is there's no rush :)
