He grinned. "You're progressing more than I thought. Why don't we move on and you can punch me now?" He pointed to her feet. "Keep the same position but instead of leaning back lean more forward so you have room to lean back for defense but can also go forward to attack. Then step forward, lead with your non dominant foot, and then punch. Keep your arm straight, elbow locked, and shoulder relaxed but not floppy. Follow through the punch...don't stop at contact...if you imagine punching through something it'll be much stronger." He grinned. "Hit me as hard as you can. I want to know your limits so I know what you can handle. Don't worry about hurting me, alright?" He stepped back and pointed to the center of his chest, slightly under his collar bone. "Aim here for now." |

Max nodded and listened closely to his instructions, she wasn't perfect but she could throw a decent punch for sure she didn't hit where he wanted at first but after a few punches she did hit him right where she told him to before she took a breath and put her hands on her knees letting out a sharp breath "Damn... I know I'm not in shape but it's only been 30 minutes..." She muttered as she tried to catch her breath one would have thought she'd just gone for miles at a run without stopping... She looked like she was pretty wiped out too "I don't feel so good..." She admitted suddenly feeling sick to her stomach. |

Sage raised an eyebrow and then smiled. "We can be done for a bit. A regular fight wouldn't last this long and you haven't even had breakfast yet." He walked over to her and put his hands on her shoulders. "Let's get you back to the hotel, alright?" He scooped her up and started carrying her back to the hotel. |

Max nodded "Okay." She replied gently with a small groan. When he picked her up she clung to him. However when they got to the hotel she was quick to break off and was in the bathroom pretty quickly... What the hell? She thought... First she was freezing this morning now she was throwing up? Seriously? She thought. |

Sage followed her into the bathroom and held her hair back with a frown. Did she get sick from all the cold air last night? Or was it something else? If she was sick then she should get help. "If you're sick you should go to the doctor." He could see things up, and he could find herbs to soothe her stomach, but there wasn't much else he could do for her, he wasn't a doctor. |

She coughed and shook her head "No... I think it's just all the changes recently... My system is just not taking it well." She chuckled lightly flushing before she cleaned herself up "I'm gonna go across the street real quick and see if they have some ginger ale or some Sprite or something at that little store we went to yesterday..." She said gently "If it doesn't get better I'll go to the doctor I promise..." She assured him with a nod before she grabbed some crackers to get rid of the taste in her mouth and hopefully soothe her stomach before she left, she didn't kiss him or anything both because she just wanted the ginger ale and because she didn't want him to be grossed out "Love you!" She called as she left the room. |

He sighed and waved bye as she left and then shook his head. The stubborn girl. He would have gotten her the stuff if she had asked. He thought about following her but decided she probably wanted to be independent, so he went out to the balcony to watch her. If she needed help he could be there in no time. He just hoped she would be alright. They would have to stay here until she got better though. He pinched his lips together. Now he had another thing to worry about. He started pacing and chewing on his nails on the balcony, his breathing speeding up. He knew he had to calm down but it really wasn't working. He really was going crazy. Oh, if he survived he would never live this down...Roxie owuld tease him about this for the rest of eternity. |

A half an hour went by and Max still hadn't come back... She'd paid for her drink and was now sitting in the store drinking it slowly. The employee from before came over to her "Geez... You look like hell... What's wrong with you?" He asked sitting down with her "Upset stomach..." She muttered between small sips of her ginger ale. |

When Sage checked the time again, he slipped down from the balcony. It had been a while and he wanted to make sure she was ok. She was just..sitting there, and he didn't want her to be alone for super long, especially with her being sick. When he got to the store he looked around for her and saw someone with her. He heasitated before hiding and watching them carefully. What was she doing? |

Maxine had become a little emotional by now as she was talking to this man who she hardly knew "It's just been a little hard lately my system is just not taking it well..." She chuckled softly "I think there might be something else going on..." He admitted wrapping a gentle arm around her "Whatever it is you'll be alright." He told her gently before he leaned in close... Admittedly it looked bad... Even worse when Max didn't pull away from him... What he'd just said made sense... So she pulled out her phone "Oh shit... I gotta get back..." She said looking at him as she stood up the young man standing and giving her a hug "Just take it one step at a time." He told her before directing her to an aisle which she ran down the young man heading off in a different direction. |
