Caden went upstairs and took off his crusty pants,not even bothering to do so again as he went to shower.

Rose glanced at him and grabbed the remote for the t.v. She was bored, and turned on the news, recognizing the gang's place from there in Arizona as a news reporter told the story of the abandoned building. She smirked and turned on a random disney movie before curling up and waiting for Caden

Caden got out eventually and went over to lay by Rose.He pulled out his phone,scrolling on TikTok when he came across one managed by the high school.

Caden groaned,tossing the still-on phone onto the bed and getting up,walking out.He walked into the kitchen,getting down a flask of bourbon and taking it,walking onto the backporch and starting a fire,taking a seat.He sipped the drink,slowly.All Caden did was sit in the chair and stare into the flames,occasionaly taking a sip.

Rose stayed where she was until she heard Caden groan and leave. She looked at the phone and sat up, looking at the page it was on. "Shit" She muttered. She walked downstairs a moment later, going to sit by him. She didn't talk, just as she hadn't for the last couple days, just sat by him.

Caden did'nt say anything or even look away,staring into the flames and drinking.He clenched his jaw so tightly,he thought his teeth would shatter into pieces.With this,he reached down and whammed the empty glass onto the table next to him,grabbing the bottle of bourbon to his lips rather then pouring himself a glass.It was one of those kinda nights if you know what I mean.He did'nt care though,just stared into the fire and drank.

Rose jumped up as the glass shattered, PTSD flooding in from the imposter Caden. She darted inside, not looking behind her as she wished Caden would stop and talk to her. She curled up onto the bed and started quietly crying while the memory of her fearful couple of days kept prisoner invaded her every thought

At some point Caden started crying quietly,that was long ago,though.Eventually it turned silent,a sob getting out every so often.He did'nt care,he just drank even more.Soon his bottle was empty,like,its more like a desert then a bottle of rum empty.Caden stood,walking back inside and grabbing another bottle,leaving the empty one inside.This new bottle was half-way full.He unscrewed the cap and lifted it to his lips,taking large sips,hoping to knock himself out at some point.

Rose stayed upstairs, crying in fear

Eventually,he did get knocked out.Drunk.Dead drunk.Like you could try to wake him up and he won't drunk.Well,seems hes satisfied.

Rose eventually cried herself to sleep, tear streaks down her cheeks
