Sage groaned and wrapped an arm around Charlotte, amused by the two girls bickering over him like he was some sort of doll. "I'll be fine," he chuckled. He scrunched his face up slightly. "I'm not out in the cold, I'll get better soon enough." He gave her a tired, sheepish grin. "The poor doctor won't ever get a break with me around, will he?" Charlotte giggled, a sound that, admittedly, lifted his spirits a bit. He looked over at the girl and smiled, before yawning and looking back over at Anya. "Don't worry too much, it's just a fever." He didn't think it would be bad, though combined with everything else it could become something bad .. he supposed the doctor would have the final say in that.

The girl pouted slightly before giving a huff. "I'll go get you something anyway," she murmured thoughtfully. If Sage really didn't want anything, he could just leave it and Anya would take it away later on. She shook her head with a slightly amused chuckle at his comment about the doctor. It was true enough... Sage had been to see the man more than Anya had in the last seventeen years. But, the man was coming to like Sage, or at least it looked that way to her. "I think the more you see him the more he likes you," she teased lightly. "It might just be a fever, but I'll send the doctor though anyway. Your body is dealing with a lot right now," she murmured before shuffling forwards and pressing a light kiss to his forehead, and slipping off around the corner. She could send the doctor over while she was getting something for Sage... and she might as well grab something for Charlotte, too.

Sage shrugged, knowing Anya was stubborn and nothing he said would make her settle down and not go get something for him. He hoped she was right about the man liking him more and more each time he saw him....by the time sage went back to the slums the man would probably be watching sage every second of the day and making sure he wasn't dying in some horrible, mangled fashion. It was an exaggeration, but an amusing one at that. Charlotte snuggled in again, and sage was more than content to let himself fall back asleep with the younger girl cuddled up against him, petting his hair like she might comfort a sick pet. That was amusing too... hopefully he wasn't going all giggly again.

Anya slipped around the corner quietly, and as she'd suspected the doctor was sitting there, scribbling away in his notebook. Well, she supposed he'd had a lot to catch up on from the day before. Anya was quite impressed that they'd managed to chase all the rebels out in such a short space of time. Sure, the castle had lost a few guards, but everyone that was... important... was still around. Well, apart from Charlotte's parents, people were looking for them. They'd probably be either hiding or being held, hostage. No one would kill them... at least, Anya hoped not, but these were people from the slums they were talking about. Not everyone down there was quite as moral as Sage. They would probably be in pretty bad condition when they were found. Anya almost dreaded to think about it. The doctor glanced up at the girl, and she almost gave a sheepish smile in response. "Sage has a fever. There was an... incident last night and he ended up outside. Can you go see him?" It was a little vague but straightforward enough so the doctor had what he needed to take care of the boy. The man gave Anya a questioning look before nodding and slowly standing up. "Of course," he noted simply, though he did look a little hesitant... almost bored. Well, that was probably because he was having to see the boy yet again.

Sage was still asleep by the time Charlotte got bored of letting his head and played with her teddy, sitting next to Sage. She wasn't really ready to move about, but sage had plenty of extra room on the bed, so she had plenty of room to make teddy dance and hop and sing. Sage was aware of the girls presence, reluctant to get into too deep of a sleep in case she needed him, though he was asleep and wasn't paying much attention to what exactly the grill was saying. He also figured the doctor would stop by, so he wanted to be up when he came.

Anya watched as the doctor gathered meds for his patients before scuttling off around the corner. He was a good man, really, and while he refused to show it, Anya was sure he cared about his patients... he wouldn't be doing this if he didn't. The man paused at each bed with a patient in and left a small tray of meds on the side before coming over to Sage and Charlotte. He was a little amused by the sight but glanced from the girl and pointed towards her own bed, to which she crawled back. He handed the girl a little tray with a few meds and a glass of water with a soft smile before wandering over to Sage. "Wake up. Your Anya is worried about you," he murmured with an amused chuckle.

Sage heard the doctor and opened his eyes, dragging himself up into a sitting position with a sigh. "She worries too much," he muttered, though of course he didnt really mind the girl's nagging and mothering. "It's just a fever, I'll be fine as long as I can keep my sorry butt in bed." He shrugged in a somewhat sheepish manner and chuckled slightly. "My brain isn't working in my favor," he admitted, finding it slightly amusing that he was breaking down now if all times. Hopefully the fever blush covered up the blush from the doctor calling Anya his. He knew the doctor was aware of their relationship and...other activities together....but he didn't think the doctor was alright with it until he heard that. It would make sense as to why he'd kept their little secret, he supposed.

The man gave a slight nod with an amused little chuckle. "She did say it was just a fever." He hummed before shrugging, "but you're body will be struggling to fight any sicknesses off at the moment, and it's better to be on the safe side. Also, princesses orders." He be mused before handing the boy some painkillers. There wasn't much you could do for a fever, really. The most you could manage was to stay at a moderate temperature until they cooled down again, and if more flu like symptoms came about then deal with it then. "A fever is normally your body fighting an infection. I wouldn't be too worried, but try and stay at room tempreture. Not too hot or cold. I'd also get a warmish bath, if I were you." The man shrugged before handing him some water to down his meds with "And remember to eat, if you can. You need energy." He shrugged and glanced to the corner when he heard the sound of the door close. Anya walked around the corner a few moments later, two steaming mugs of... something in each hand. She placed one down next to Charlotte and then the other down next to Sage. "All good," she asked with a slightly cocked head.

Sage grunted and nodded. "He gave me stuff for some stuff and told me to take a warm bath and sleep." He wrinkled his nose slightly. "Something else too, but I forgot," he muttered. "Eat," Charlotte grumbled, poking him on the side of the head. Sage grunted and nodded. "See? All good. Nurse Charlotte can boss me around just as well as you can," he joked, though it was tiredly and his usual frisky time was definitely dulled. "Why dont you go lay down and Anya can help haul my butt out to my room for that bath, hmm," he asked the younger girl, who sighed but nodded and went back to her bed and lay down. Sage slid out of the bed as best he could, using Anya as a sort of stabilizer once he hit the floor and a bolt of pain shot up his body. Apparently he'd done more last night than he'd thought. Oh well. "Maybe if I'm lucky she'll join me too," he half teased Anya with a wink, kind of continuing what he'd said to Charlotte a moment ago. Anya didn't have to, but she'd be standing outside the door other wise, and why not? They could sit in a warm bath for a bit. She was outside too, after all.

Anya gave a nod at Charlottes comment. It was important for the boy to eat, especially in the state he was in. He needed energy to get better, and that simply wasn't going to happen if he didn't eat too well. He helped the boy stagger a couple steps before he made a comment about her joining him. A light blush covered her cheeks as she pondered on the idea. She certainly wasn't planning on it, but what would she do otherwise? Sit an be bored for god knows how long he'd be in there? Anya was paleing anyway, so the warm water would probably do her good, too. "If you're lucky," she repeated with a soft grin. She helped him back to his room the best she could... which, admittedly took a while, but Sage weighed a hell of a lot more than he did, and now, being ill, he was pretty much dead weight. Putting that weight on was a good thing, though. It meant he was getting healthier. Once they got to Sages room, she helped the boy sit on a counter before going to run a bath... not too hot, like the doctor mentioned, but not freezing either. Once the tub started to fill, she turned to Sage with a slight huff. "Doesn't look like I'll be carrying you bride style any more," she noted with an amused giggle.
