Remy shook his head, pushing the food away. The state of their relationship right now made him queasy, and despite wanting to forgive Sage, he couldn't. Sage had hit him and hadn't been there when Remy had needed him the most. He hadn't even tried to go look for Remy. And still he hadn't apologized. Ivy woke, and Remy swam off to go murmur a soft goodmorning and help her get ready for the day.

Sage let out a soft breath when Remy just pushed him away and went to greet ivy, staying where he was for a few moments before slowly moving back to their kitchen area and just putting the food away. He left out Ivy's portion, but evidently rent didn't want anything from him, and sage still felt like shit, in more ways than one, so he wasn't going to eat either, despite not having eaten for days now. He was losing weight but...he didn't really care.

Remy took care of Ivy pretty much all day.

Sage just watched ivy, as she went about her day. Remy seemed to keep her away from him, so he just curled up where he was, not moving very much.

Remy hadn't meant to keep Ivy away from Sage. He was just upset with Sage. Towards the evening, she wandered over to Sage. "Dada, come play," she whined, tugging on his finger. Remy watched over at a distance.

Sage hadn't moved from where he'd curled up on the sandbank in the kitchen, but when ivy came over he offered her a tight smile and let her tug him out of his little ball in the corner, going along with what she asked him. But there was no real joy in it, not anymore.

Ivy played with him but quickly got bored with the lack of emotion. She yawned, ready for bed. Remy was in the corner, tending to his wounds.

Sage moved to help settle Ivy down for bed when she grew tired, tucking her in and pressing a kiss to her head a he told her goodnight. Then he went back out to the main room, watching Remy for a moment before signing. "If you want me to go.... I'll go," he noted quietly, voice breaking slightly. He didn't want to but... Neither of them could keep living like this. "Just... Tell me what you want from me. I'll do anything," he added.

"No, I don't want you to go, Sage," he muttered, continuing to tend to his wounds. "You hit me and shut me out and left me when I needed you the most. You didn't even try to come looking for me, and you still haven't even apologized," he muttered, really upset.

Sage paused when Remy said he didn't want him to go, guilt churning in his chest as he kept talking. "I know," he noted softly. "I did, actually...when we were getting ivy. You just said we'd talk later," he pointed out. "I was going to come back inside and apologize right away...but you'd left before the flashbacks stopped. And then...well I guess I figured you were done," he murmured. "I know I should have probably come looking for you ...know you needed me and I wasn't there." He moved to sort of slide down the wall with a sigh, resting tiredly on the sand. "I am sorry...really I am...but I was scared, Remy. I wasn't thinking about who was touching me, it was fight or flight."
