Sage slept for maybe half an hour before a dream of his stepmother woke him, and he slipped out from under Remy, skin prickling. He just didn't want to be touched after those memories.

Remy woke not long after him, looking around for him. He got up, wandering over to him, gently he wrapped his arms around him, nestling his face into his shoulder. "Hey baby, whats wrong?" he asked gently.

Sage had moved outside, leaning on the railing of the porch. He nearly jumped out of his skin when he felt arms around him, pulling away and moving a few steps to the side. "I'm fine," he noted shortly, mind whirling. It was just his instinctual response....he wasn't thinking about remy.

Remy, confused and concerned, furrowed his brows and stepped closer. "Sage, baby, whats wrong?" he asked softly, putting a gentle hand on his shoulder and rubbing softly.

Sage just shook his head taking try have of his shoulder firmly. "I'm fine. Just need some space for a minute," he noted, probably a little short then he'd meant to.

| |
"Sage, you're obviously not fine," he whispered, continuing to gently rub his back, not getting the message. "Cmon, whats wrong?"

Sage didn't mean to get angry, but when he felt remys hand on his back, a flashback hit him and he slapped remys hand away, probably rougher than he should have. "Just leave me alone," he snapped. He felt bad about it after but....it had already been done. And he just couldn't deal with a hug to say sorry.

| |
Remy flinched away, drawing his hand back quickly. He backed away, holding his hand that was already blossoming a light red. He looked down at his feet. "Sorry..." he muttered, wandering away.
| |

Sage winced softly at his apology, opening his own mouth to apologize to Remy, but by then Remy had already left. He let out a sigh, slumping into one of the chairs outside, head in his hands. He did feel bad....but he just wasn't ready to be touched yet.

Remy wandered off to their bedroom, head hung low. He felt awful. He paced the room, not sure what he did wrong. Remy coughed, hard. He was getting sick again. He glanced back at Sage and sighed. Remy left his clothes on the bed for the next time they came back to the house and wandered down to the water, jumping in and swimming.
