Sage snorted and kind of waved off the concerned question. "I can walk just fine," he muttered, not really sure he could but not willing to leave without at least trying. "It's not like I've never been shot and had to deal with it before," he pointed out, though the yawn that came about after there fact probably didn't make his point very well. Whatever. Hed need help getting up, but he just put his weight on Anyas shoulder to yank himself up, though heade sure not to hurt her. And if he fell over Anya would make him get helped over no matter what he said, so he could say he was fine even if he wasn't.

Anya rolled her eyes as the boy forced himself up. She supposed he wouldn't want to be carried about by a bunch of guards, so if he insisted on walking she'd help him out. "I've seen you be shot and jump in a lake the day after, but that doesn't make me worry any less." She made sure to get up quickly after he'd gotten on his feet. He'd definitely lost a lot of blood, so the chances that he'd just flop back over as soon as he was on his feet again were... high. Sage probably had a lot of deficiencies from being in the slums the way it was, so loosing as much blood as he had definitely hadn't done him any good. Anya held onto his lower arms to keep him steady before looking up at him, concern scribbled across her face. "I'll walk you," she murmured and gave a slight nod of thanks to Luther before slowly walking the boy out the door.

Sage grunted a response to Anyas first statement then gave her a grin when she walked after him. "Yes mom," he half joked, rolling his eyes amused at the girl's concern. He didn't mind that she was worried, it was a nice change, but he also didn't want her any more worried than she already was. Either way, he did lean on the girl quite a bit on the way down to the doctor's. He waved bye at Luther, a grin still written in his face. "Nice to see you alive," he chirped as he passed the boy before the doors closed behind him. By the time they were nearing the doctor's office, sage felt about ready to pass out, though no way was he telling Anya that ....though, he was quite audibly wheezing and she could probably feel his pulse since he was leaning on her.

The girl really paid no mind to Sages teasing... she knew she mothered him, and that it was probably very annoying to the boy, but she wasn't likely to change. She loved him, and if worrying about the boy came with that, then Sage would have to deal with it, or, quite frankly, get lost. Luther though did give a slight chuckle at his leaving comments before waving the boy off. It was pretty quiet as they walked along the halls, but that was mainly because Anya was trying not to look at the dead corpses that were littering the floor, which by now had been painted red. Guards were moving the bodies around, too, which definitely didn't help the matter. They made it to the doctors office in good enough time, though it was being heavily guarded. Probably because the rebels were trying to get supplies while they could. But Anya and Sage were let in without issues. The doctor eyed them and pointed towards a bed in the corner, not too far from the young girl who was coughing and spluttering in the corner. Her breaths were barely coming out, but the ones that were, were only wheezes. Anya set the boy down on the bed so that he could get comfortable before wandering over to the girl, Charlotte, and perching lightly on the side of her bed. She had a quiet conversation, not for long but eventually she got a joyful giggle out of the girl and leaned in for the girl to wrap her arms around her neck in a weak hug. Anya smiled in return before sitting back and pecking the girls forehead, which got her another small attempt at a giggle. "I'll be back," Anya promised Charlotte before standing up and making her way over to the door, pausing and remembering that Sage was there. "She want's a teddy from her room. I'm just going to talk to the doctor and then go get that for her," she noted with a shallow smile before slipping away to talk to the doctor.

Sage nodded and waved Anya off, still wheezing and trying to catch his breath. He was worried about the girl, who breathing was obviously less than stellar. He noticed the girl look over at him and he gave her a tired smile from where he was laying down. He closed his eyes after that, exhausted, though opened them in surprise when the small child crawled up with him. "You can be my teddy for now," he murmured tiredly before curling up with her head on his chest in a position that helped her breathing before falling asleep. He made sure she would be fine and wrapped an arm around her protectively, and the girl wrapped her own arms around his as if it were the teddy she was missing. He smiled softly, and once he was certain she would be fine he set his head down on the pillows and passed out himself.

Anya left after a short while. The conversation with the doctor was short and brief, just explaining that Sage could stay there until he was ready to leave and that the doctor would see him if he needed it. Given, the man didn't sound overly impressed with the idea, it was his own so she trusted him more than enough to go with it. Anya then went to find the little girl's room to find this teddy of hers... it would be nice for the girl to have something of her own in a strange place like the doctor's office... it was a strange place and from experience, it could be a very unsettling place if things went wrong. She quickly wandered up the stairs and to the girl's room... it was a cute little abode, dolled up to literally look like a storybook princess's castle. There was a small teddy bear on her pillow, but it looked like it had lost half of its stuffing and was, well, floppy. Anya picked it up with a small smile before wandering back down.

Sage was more than happy to let the little girl curl up against him...if he could help her he would definitely do it. She had almost become like a sister to him....no one could replace Lizzie, but he could love another little one all the same. Of course, her parents might hate him, but they weren't in the doctor's office so really, he didn't especially care. He was too tired to think much about it though, and was soon in just as deep a sleep as the little girl curled up on his chest and wrapped around his arm, breathing lightly. It was honestly a bit of comfort to sage too, to have the little girl there....it was a bit odd he supposed, but he figured he had to act strong for the girl, and she was nice to him. She made him laugh, made him happy, like Lizzie and even Anya.

Anya made her way back down to the doctor's office at a pretty slow pace. Well, she was hugging the small toy to her chest, almost as if she were shielding it from the gory sights of the mangled corpses. Well, she was also trying to hide from it, eyes glued to the ground as she wandered along. To be completely honest, she had visions of one of them just being unconscious and grabbing her whenever they'd come around. It was a childish notion, but it scared her all the same. She soon made it through the doors and nodded a greeting to the doctor before wandering into the ward, only looking up once she was sure there wasn't a trail of blood smeared across the floor, ceilings, and walls. The sight she came to see was definitely a much sweeter sight than the ones in the hallways. Sage was curled around Charlottle, who was hugging onto his arm for dear life. Anya couldn't help the grin that formed on her face as she felt her heart flutter a little. She'd never really been one for small children, but this was quite frankly adorable, despite the unfortunate state that the two were in. They both seemed fast asleep, but Anya still tried a soft greeting of, "Hey," to see if either of them stirred.

Neither sage nor Charlotte moved when Anya whispered, as they were both dead asleep. Sage didn't normally sleep very deeply, and he really only slept like this when he just physically needed it in order to function, let alone heal. He wasn't real pleased about it, but he let himself sleep anyway, knowing he needed it. Charlotte helped too, admittedly. She kind of gave him a purpose of a sort....protecting her was something he'd kind of happily taken on. He was not going to let this girl die, not like he let Lizzie. Of course, he knew there was nothing he could of done, but he didn't reay believe himself.

When the girl got no reply, she just gave a bit of an inward smile and placed the small toy down on the other bed before silently slipping back out again. She'd let them sleep... after all, who was she to keep them up when they needed the rest. She should probably go and talk to her mother anyway, make sure everything was alright. She supposed the woman would want to talk things over with her, or at very least have the girl watch from a corner as she and the knights tried to discuss - or argue - what they'd do next to secure the castle, along with how to appease the villagers. If Anya was at all better with blood, she'd try and help clear the castle out, like she'd seen Luther doing but... no, she didn't think she'd ever see herself doing that, even if the whole blood thing wasn't an issue.
