Axel grunted in agreement with aloras comment, nodding along. "A section of it," he informed her, moving to grab a handful of fruit from the plate and nibble at it while they were talking. "They take all the mixed races, stick them in a barrack, and train us there," he explained. A few flashes of memories moved through his mind before he could stop them....so if alora was reading his mind, she'd have seen the bad conditions there. The way they were treated. The things they'd had to do to survive. The wars he'd seen. "It wasn't all bad, but I must say I've enjoyed being pampered by Duncan here," he added with a chuckle, flashing Duncan a teasing grin.

Duncan blushed and smiled. Alora nodded and gave him a sympathetic look. "That must've been pretty bad, hm?" she sighed.

Axel found himself grinning at Duncan wider when he noticed the flush in his cheeks, his own skin heating up slightly. Of course, when Alora spoke, he turned his gaze back to her, lifting his shoulders in a shrug. "It wasn't so bad all the time," he murmured. "At least when we were there we had food. Shelter." It was better than being out on missions a lot of the time.

Duncan smiled over at him, blushing profusely. Alora nodded, sensing the thoughts of both of them. She smirked and rolled her eyes. "Well, I guess I should leave you two lovebirds alone now, hm?" she chuckled, slipping out of the room.

Axel hadn't expected alora to call them lovebirds, especially since Duncan had denied any feelings for him just this morning. The comment pulled a heavy blush to his face, cheeks flaming a bright red as she left, closing the door behind her again. "Good God what did you tell her about me," he asked with a laugh after a moment. She seemed to know just how much Duncan liked him....and how much Axel liked duncan too. Which was a bit odd but not ...bad necessarily.

Duncan was blushing furiously. "Well, I had to tell her everything after she found you in my mind, and she knows whatever you were thinking so..." he trailed off.

Axel only felt his face heat up more when Duncan mentioned that she'd heard both of their thoughts. "Well shit," he noted with a small laugh. "I guess we can't deny it now," he added, sort of fidgeting with his hands in his lap. That comment was more to feel Duncan out though...he didn't want to push. And honestly he was scared it would end badly too. He didn't know how to love. He was bred and raised to fight, to kill. But he wanted to love. To have someone love him, care for him. He didn't know if that was even possible but....Duncan seemed like that kind of person, if it were to happen. But that would depend on Duncan himself.

Duncan fidgetted with his hands nervously. Anything of the sort made him a bit queasy with nerves. "Yeah," he chuckled, his face a flaming red. His heart was pounding. He didn't know what to do or what not to do and that made him terrified of it all.

Axel sort of flopped backwards onto his back from where he was sitting on the edge of the bed, running his hands over his face, which was still hot. "You really like me then," he asked after a moment, knowing if alora read his mind and that's what was there it was true ...but part of him still didn't believe it.

Duncan hesitated. "Yeah..." he breathed.
