Sage blinked slowly, heasitating, in response to remys question. If he wasn't standing there, right in front of him, he would have thought he'd imagined it. He glanced down at the stump, watching the blood drip into the tiled floor, the bloody bandages discarded in the trash can. It was ugly. Disgusting. He felt his stomach churn and lightheadedness set in the longer he looked at it. He grimaced, shoulders hunching over. "How can you even say that," he choked out, fingers tightening on the sink and closing his eyes tightly, though it did no good. "Look at it, Remy," he added, swallowing hard, lips curling into a disgusted grimace, masking the pain that previously kept his face tense.

Remy went over to Sage, cupping his face. "Hey, you're hurting and I wanna help. It may be ugly now, but it'll heal, I know it will," he smiled at him softly. "I love you, no matter what,"

Sage flinched when Remy first touched him, though he quickly controlled himself. He opened his eyes, almost shyly, breath ragged in his throat. His mind whirled with conflicting emotions, but at his words he let out a soft breath, resting his forehead against remys collar bone before his legs have out under him and they both sunk to the floor, Remy choosing to go with him. "I guess I could use some help," he noted softly, voice fragile and definitely heasitant. He trust Remy, loved him....but he'd kept this secret for so long. He hated it, hated himself. But he was allowing Remy in.

Remy smiled softly, kissing his cheek. He grabbed the first aid kit from the counter, kneeling beside Sage. Slowly and gently, Remy cleaned the stump of Sages arm and wrapped it up with nonstick bandages so they wouldn't stick to the wound. "There you go," he smiled softly to Sage.

Sage stayed still as Remy worked, swallowing the bile that kept threatening to rise in his throat. This was rediculous...he was supposed to be the strong one. The one who knew what he was doing. But really? He was scared. Of a lot of things. His mind kept circling back to what could happen when they got caught. And it was a when, not an if....they would be found. Remys comment broke him out of his thoughts, and he glanced over at the other man, not willing to look at the stump. "Thanks," he noted, voice raw and tired. "Can we....can we just go to bed," he asked, clearly exhausted by the ordeal, if you could even call it that.

Remy smiled gently and nodded, "of course," he murmured. The two of them got up and went over to the bed, Remy flopped down, leaving space for Sage.

Sage tried to offer Remy a thankful smile, but honestly was too tired and his mind was too full of dark thoughts to keep it there. He let Remy lead him over to the bed, and collapsed there, letting Remy draw the blankets over them. "It was a landmine," he noted softly, figuring Remy was curious about it. "Guy next to me set it off....I suppose I should be grateful I didn't explode with it but..." He sort of trailed off with a shrug. It was hard to be grateful for this. Hard to be happy to be alive. He wasn't sure why he was telling Remy, but he was.

"Im sorry," he whispered. "Im glas youre still alive though," he hummed softly. "Who knows where id be now," he sighed. Remy turned back to Sage and hugged him. "Its okay to be vulnerable sometimes. The strongest people still need to cry sometimes," hw whispered.

Sage hummed softly, shaking his head. "They only started this whole thing because of me. My dad got his scientist back," he snorted. "If I wasn't here you'd probably still be in the ocean." Though, his breath hitched at his next comment, pulse pounding in his ears. "I'm not sure I have any tears left," he noted softly, tucking his nose into remys chest. It was stupid....he could handle all sorts of drastic situations, but his own emotions and feeling scared him shitless. "But thank you for not judging me for it. You're the only one I've told about ...any of this," he added softly, eyes already closing as his body shut down, emotions having taken their toll.

Remy smiled, "Baby, i was caught in a fishing net off of a big commercial fishing boat. They sold me off to the highest bidder, if it wasn't for you, I would be in some museum or in a lab," he explained gently. Remy nodded, "Of course, anytime... I love you, forever and always," he whispered, kissing his head.
