"Who was that?" Kayla asked later that night, combing her fingers through Max's hair. "She's irrelevant, doesn't matter anymore." He explained, pecking her hand. |

Kylie knocked on her mother's door, sobbing. "Kylie?" She answered. "Oh, honey, come in, what happened?" She asked, concerned. "My boyfriend-" Kylie started. "Oh! You met someone?" She said happily. "He cheated on me..." Kylie cried. "Oh, honey... I'm so sorry," her mother said softly, holding her close as she cried. |

Max started drinking again, some days he'd wake up with Kayla beside him with zero clue how he ended up there. |

Kylie stayed with her mom, crying most of the time. Eventually she started to move on. She blocked Max and started to go back to normal. |

He found himself somewhat missing her, staring up at the ceiling sometimes with Kayla resting her head on him as his thoughts only remained on Kylie. Max had stopped eating and drinking more, eyes becoming more hollow and hoodies and baggy jeans becoming his go too's. |

Exactly two weeks after she left, Kylie came back, back to her normal self. She walked into class wearing her jeans and a tshirt, sitting down in class as if nothing was wrong. |

Max sat in the very back row, not even listening to the professor as he teached. He looked different now, dyed hair, hollow expression, same voice though, not the same eyes. Now they were dull, foggy even. |

Kylie saw him, she could feel his presence, but she didn't acknowledge him whatsoever. |

He got out of class as quick as possible when it ended, meeting up with Kayla and the two walking to the cafe just like him and Kylie used to. |

After class, Kylie met up with Jen and Ali, going to the same café, in a flurry of rushed talking and giggles. They walked in, Kylie didn't notice Max at all, all of them ordering and getting their food. Kylie never noticed Max even as she exited the cafe with her food and coffee in hand, but both Ali and Jenna saw him and glared. |
