Charlotte walked back into where the race horses are with a friend. Her friend wandered off slowly, leaving her somewhere in the barns. She walked down the aisles, the horses snorting at her softly. She passed an older guy washing a horse, who snuffed and yelled at her to move. Charlotte scurried away in embarrassment. Charlotte approached a stall that was empty. She assumed it was just one of the other race horses that had competed today, until she read the small wooden plaque that hung on the stall. "RF Frozen Gaurd" Charlotte pasued, taking time to admire the sign before she turned and bumped straight into a man. "Sorry!" She shot out quickly, adjusting her boot, and then she looked up and her face went bright red from embarrassment. It was the jockey, Jaden Ortiz, that had won the derby. She muttered something not understandable and accidentially tripped. She lay there for a second, thinking everything through. She had just gotten lost, found a famous horse's stall, and bumped into his famous jockey who had just ran and won the race. She stood up, dusting off her jeans. Jaden had just been walking Loki back to his stall for his groom to go walk him around to cool him out when he stopped after hearing a yelp. He peered down at the woman, hopping off and taking hold of his colt's reins. "It's fine, you alright?" The man asked, extending a hand to her. Loki's groom came and took the horse, leaving Jaden and the stranger alone.

She took the jockey's hand, standing up. Charlotte's face shone red, from embarrassment. "Hope I didn't interrupt anything!" She spat nervously. She looked up at the jockey, and noted all his features. He had tan skin, ashy brown slightly curly hair with just minor blonde highlihgts, probably fading from summer, green eyes, and freckles splattered like paint across his face. She stood there, silent, Probbaly confusing him. Charlotte shook her head and came back down to Earth. He's a bit handsome up close, Charlotte thought.

"Uhm yeah no, you didn't." He murmured, following after his trainer and a few others following the two as they started chatting about the race, how they would divide the purse, and where they would race next. By the end of it all, Jaden was exhausted, the man heading to his Corvette in the parking lot as his social battery ran dry, his only thought being to get home.

Charlotte stood up and walked away just as he did too. He looked really tired, she thought. Well, he did just win that derby. Charlotte swerved her way back to her friend, said goodbye, and hopped in her truck. She drove home, listening to her favorite country radio. Just then, the radio switched to love ballads and Charlotte turned it off, sighing, She got home, set her keys down, saddled up her horse, Kylie, and went for a ride to cool her down.

He arrived home and exchanged his silks for a hoodie and sweats after taking a shower, making some dinner before heading to watch a movie on the couch. Jaden didn't think much of the girl, really just of the money he had one and where he was going next.

Charlotte and her horse, Kylie, trotted along a huge trail stetch, that just happened to cross by where some famous jockeys lived. She looked ahead, seeing the couple of houses about 1/4 mile away. She plodded along, bringing Kylie to a walk. Once the girl and her horse got next to the tiny house settlement, she stopped, and let Kylie get a drink. She checked her watch. They had gone 5 miles, no wonder Kylie was lapping up water like a herding dog after a long day. She pat Kylie before taking her hair out of the long, sleek braid and let her slightly wavy hair fall down her back as she slid her hat back on her head. Kylie had stopped drinking and was ready to continue. She jumped back on and they continued their journey. She walked along, Kylie snorting at every leaf that flew by her face. Charlotte laughed at it. Suddenly, Kylie stopped and started to back up before she spun a 180 on her hoof and galloped off, Charlotte hanging off the side. She ran about a mile back before Charlotte lost grip entirely and fell in the pond right infront of the small group of houses. She stood up, soaked, as Kylie jogged away. She felt like a fool, standing there, wet, and fallen off her horse.

Jaden was outside in his pool, walking up the stairs before hearing a splash and looking over. A woman had just fallen and was now drenched in water, the man not being able to contain his laughter as he reached for a towel. He dried off, heading inside still chuckling as he went to go shower.

Charlotte got up, but stood there for a second before she started shaking. She sat back down at the edge of the pond, hidden from all view. She was cold. She dampened out her coat and swung it over herself as she slowly got up and began walking back towards where Kylie was bucking and farting. She shook the entire time, trying to get warm. The pond was freezing, and it wasn't very hot outside, either.

He came back out a while later, his great dane, Murphy, trailing behind him. Jaden threw one of his toys, the dog sprinting after it before running back up beside him as he squeaked it. "Alright bud, wait, where'd it go?" The man teased, hiding it behind his back as the dog started searching for it before he tossed it once more and the hound darted off again.
