Adley rolled her eyes as he walked away and headed into the barn to shut the lights off. She was lucky enough to live above the smaller barn on the left. She had double checked gates and shut the doors. She changed for bed and shut her lights off for the night. Tomorrow would be fun... she woke up at 6:30am and got dressed in jeans and a plain purple t shirt. She made some eggs and ate her breakfast sandwich as she walked down the stairs into the barn. She went into the feed room and grabbed buckets. She was in charge of feeding the 10 stall barn and Caleb was supposed to take care of the bigger barn. He better hope he was awake and there in time to feed or she would have something to say about it.

Caleb woke up around 6am, popping on a fresh white t-shirt and jeans before grabbing his belt and putting that on too. He hoped he wouldn't have any interactions with the girl today. He sighed as he watched her walk into the small barn. He grabbed his phone before walking to the big barn and feeding every horse there.

A sigh of relief washed over to see that the lights were on by the time she got to the big barn. “Glad to see you fed on time,” she said bluntly and then went to go grab the horses she was bringing in to ride for the day and to feed. She started with Daxs field. She let the golden bay stallion into the smaller barn which was for personal horses and stallions. Then she grabbed a palomino stallion and put him in his stall. Moving onto the big barn she grabbed 3 horses all mares and then 3 geldings. Total she had 8 horses to ride, if she got to Dax. “If you wanna drag the ring that would be great, I got to tack up and I have 8 horses to ride today,” she said to him as she started with a small dark bay mare. “Ever ridden a reining horse?” She asked curiously as she didn’t really know much background he had or even qualifications. She was in a bit better of a mood but still not thrilled with his arrival.

"I have competed on a few, actually." He said, carefully keeping his voice soft as he led out a dark roan stallion to the cross-ties. "I traveled for a while, showing other people's horses before buying my horse." He said, grabbing the saddle and saddle pad before gently putting them on the stallion.

She nodded well that at least makes him a little more qualified. "You got ranchin experience?" She asked him as she groomed and tack the little bay mare. And then put the horse's bridle on. "Dad said yesterday when she was checking calves the north field needed a couple posts fixed he's forcing us to go fix it together," she has mentioned as she was walking the mare into the big covered ring. She got on and began her warmup by bending and flexing and then she let the mare walk around a few laps.

"If you don't want to do it, I can." He offered when she mentioned the fence. He hopped onto the stallion and jogged a few laps. He then asked for a lope for a couple laps before walking him out.

"I'm not lazy I would do it myself if there weren't 6 post and rails and I would like to get it done before its dark so the only option is for us to partner up. Trust me if everyone wasn't busy you wouldn't have been my first choice," She said as she moved up into the jog and then the lope and worked on a few sliding stops and spins. She patted the mare every time she did good and schooled her a bit on a few things and then cooled her out at the walk.

Caleb did almost the same thing she did, except on the opposite side of the ring. Caleb decided to let him extend his stride like he would in a real show

"Are you gonna compete at all?" she asked curiously as she let the mare have a loose rein and then pulled her to the center and got off. "I'm not a fan of you but if you have what it takes we are looking for someone to show the little dun mare in stall 3. Dad was working with her and then his knee started bothering him. I am already showing Dax, Lily, and Denver. Mom is taking Nixie and Boone they are hers. She rides great she just has a bit of an attitude sometimes," she said to him as she left the ring to go tack up the next horse. Ringo a chestnut splash paint horse he was a client horse and he was a looker.

"I don't know yet." He said, dismounting as well. "I probably will. I will just talk to him tomorrow." Caleb said, walking the stallion to the barn and untacking and grooming him. "That boy is a beauty." Caleb said, leading his stallion to it's stall and looking Ringo over. He hated that Adley didn't like him, as he liked her probably too much. He knew she would kill him if he said anything about his feelings.
