Alastor Dagon +×+ He stared at the wall for a moment, contemplating something. This person seemed much like him, and yet... they were still living. If he could, he would've killed himself long ago. What gave them the will to live? He wished he could figure that out... but he couldn't. It wasn't like he could talk to anyone. He took another sip of his whiskey as the chaos grew even more chaotic. Security guys were everywhere, people were screaming, blood was all over.. it reminded him of a colder hell. He glanced at the bartender, completely understanding the shot of vodka the guy took. Must be a hard life. At the question, he glanced up again, chuckling quietly. "I said one thing under my breath, chill." He teased, though he knew it wasn't the time. "Just a beer. Thanks." Alastor answered quietly, two words sliding into his head. Spicy soap. Zephyr Rune... he missed them. So much. Gah, why did everything have to be bloodshed and unhappiness down here? At least in heaven it was all passive aggressive. Alastor glimpsed something out of the corner of his eye, and half jumped half threw himself sideways a split second before two grappling people and a yelling security guard crashed into the stool he had been on. It splintered to pieces. Frowning, he sidled over to a different one, having not finished his beer. After that, he needed to go ... sleep. Or try to, anyway. He had to be up early for his job. Since his parents booted him down here, and he didn't just miraculously gain free money- he had to work. At the moment he was a construction worker, as his ... angelic power.. made it easy for him to do grunt work. However, he also worked as a ranch hand. To make ends meet. It was a stretch to He liked how no one talked to each other and it was just dust and heat. And cattle, he guessed. As he sipped his beer, some thoughts played on his mind, and he finally spoke. "Obviously you don't like this job... why don't you try to find a new one?" Alastor asked, then he realized the guy probably couldn't. Jobs weren't easy to come by- it took some scrounging to get his own.

Austin King 👑~👑 Austin stared at him when he teased him. Great. Just what he needed. "Okay. Yeah, that totally helps. A beer. What type of beer???" He grumbled to himself, turning around and pouring the man two beers. He didn't know which of the many the man wanted, so, he picked two randomly. Austin turned around in time to see a security guard and two drunkards smash a stool. Austin looked up and closed his eyes, clenching his teeth tightly. He looked back down with a cold, bitter smile and set the two beers in front of the man. Slightly harsher than he meant to in the beginning. Austin grabbed a towel and another shot glass he needed to clean. As he scrubbed the inside, the man asked him something. Ah yes. He loved that question. "Pft- You really think I have the energy to work anywhere else? I barely have the energy to leave my room." He said coldly, rolling his eyes. Austin set the shot glass down and grabbed a whiskey glass. Oh, his headache was killing him. And the fucking noise wasn't making it better! He slammed the glass down. "WILL YOU ALL SHUT UP!?" He yelled at the commotion. Everyone went silent at the sudden outburst. Which allowed the security guards to apprehend a few more people. Austin took a small breath and turned around, walking down the bar a bit and grabbing his bag. He dug through it, pulling out a large bottle of Advil. He unscrewed the top and took three. And of course, when he tuned back in the yelling had started up once more. Well, he got one second of silence. Austin walked back down the bar, debating on washing the pills down with water or vodka. Of course, he chose the latter. He poured himself another shot and took the painkillers with the burning liquid. He looked back at the man, his blue eyes staring into the black-haired man. Austin reached down and grabbed his towel. Now to get back to this horrid job. And possibly answer any more questions this man asked. Eugh. Talking.

Alastor Dagon +×+ Alastor completely got that this guy didn't appreciate the teasing, but he ignored it. He didn't answer the question, as it seemed rhetorical and the man was already pouring two different types. He would've probably preferred Coors, but anything worked. Or Bud Light. Didn't matter, though. As the beers were pretty much slammed in front of him, he marveled at the fact none spilled out. Impressive. Well, Mr. Sour Face obviously wasn't ever going to be in a good mood. "Seems like you need to go find some more energy." He said to no one in particular, thinking about how silly it was that this guy was still here instead of wallowing in self pity like they obviously wanted to do. [These damn humans. Think they have it sooo bad. They don't know] He thought a bit grouchily, finishing both beers and standing up. He paid in cash, and tipped... generously, even though he knew he didn't have the money to. Something about this human seemed different, and he wasn't going to just stop here. Alastor then left, weaving through the fray before exiting the building. He walked down the streets, then out into the country, to a small, run down shack he called home. Such a ... downgrade from heaven. No more pearly gates. He wondered if the man at the bar believed in divinity. Probably not, from the looks of their sorry life. Alastor let out a small huff and threw himself onto the floor, where he laid on some ratty blankets that he called a bed. He tended to save money for certain things, and a sleeping place was not one of them. In the morning, he was up quite early, off to the ranch. It wasn't far outside of town, so it was a short walk from his cabin. A long day of hard work followed, but it was also the day he got paid. Not much, but just enough as to where, as he walked back to town, he was mighty pleased. Over the weekend he had a construction gig that he had to go to, as most people didn't want to work weekends. The construction stuff paid more, so he was glad to do it. Thankfully, however, right now.. he was done. He went back to the bar, and started singing a couple songs, though quietly enough as to where only the people who requested it and the people right around him could hear. Most songs would earn him a free drink, as the drunk people apparently liked handing out free goodies. After some time, he took a break, wandering to a corner and sitting down in a chair with a sigh, staring at the ceiling as he held the beer. He wondered when his life would ever get more interesting. When his parents would ever tug him back up to heaven when they realized earth wasn't helping him. Or when he'd get a new mission.

Austin King 👑~👑 Austin rolled his eyes as the man walked out. He genuinely didn't care. But hey, he left a tip. Austin sauntered down the bar, counting the money he earned that day. He smiled slightly once he counted enough to pay the rent and get himself something to eat. Austin glanced up as he saw the owner come in. He grimaced and looked over at Austin. "You can go for tonight." He sighed, walking past the bar and going out to the commotion. Austin breathed out in relief, grabbing his bag and making sure his phone is shoved into his pocket. He slips out of the bar and into the parking lot. Austin makes his way over to his father's car, opens the old door, and plopping down inside. He sighed and turned on the car, pressing down on the drive and pulling out of the parking lot. 👑 Austin pulled into the driveway, turned off the car, and shoved the keys deep inside his pocket. He leaned back in the driver's seat, staring at the dark house. He was dreading going inside at the moment. But what could he do? Austin shoved open the car door, stepping out into the cool night air. Austin grabbed his bag, pulling it out and hooking it on his arm. He closed the car door and locked it, walking over to the front door. He shoved the key into the keyhole and twisted, unlocking the door and pushing the door open. He slipped inside and locked the door behind him. Pumpkin sauntered over to him, rubbing against his leg and meowing. Austin quickly sunk to his knees, grabbing the cat and picking the ginger up. Pumpkin purred softly as he gently massaged the cat's head. He couldn't risk father waking... Austin carried the fluffy ginger cat and walked to his room, entering and closing himself inside. Looking around, he figured he should most likely sleep. 👑 The next morning, Austin was up early. Already slipping out the door to hurry to work. He got little to absolutely no sleep last night. Which meant he would have to stop by 7-Eleven and get an energy drink. Or some coffee... Or he would have to suck it up because shit's expensive. Austin shook his head and hopped in the car, turning it on and pulling out of the driveway. He got to his job, pulling into that lot and hopping out, sprinting inside and gripping the counter. Yuri glanced over, raising an eyebrow. "Nice save." She hummed, smiling as she began to help someone out. Austin rolled his eyes bitterly and went to the employee's office, shoving his things into his labeled locker. Austin stared at the silvery metal for a moment before closing the locker and making his way back out to the counter. He legit hated life. Austin put on his signature fake smile and began helping out Yuri with the customers.

Alastor Dagon +x+ Alastor sat and listened to the quiet music play over the loadspeakers, almost drowned out by the loud sound of chattering. He closed his eyes, letting out a long, low breath. If he already practically lived at this place... thoughts ran through his head, and as they did, the man from the other night popped into his mind. They were interesting, to say the least. As his brain wandered to that, Alastor scowled. He couldn't get involved with humanity again. In that way. He didn't want to talk to someone and he didn't want to learn more about them. He wanted to forget it. As he was sitting there, he noticed tall light and deadly striding across the room towards him. His heart went cold as their eyes met, and the other person smiled and walked faster. He all but jumped from his seat and disappeared into the crowd, ducking his head as he opened the door to leave. He felt a hand on his arm, then someone tugged him back in. Hissing in anger, Alastor whirled, his teeth grinding as he saw the only person in the world he never wanted to see again. - "Alastor! Salutations, my old friend. How delightful to see you again." Zach smiled a bit evilly, tracing his finger along the other man's jawline. "How has my favorite plaything been?" He purred, crossing his arms. He was the same height as, if not a little taller than Alastor, with golden blonde hair, ocean blue eyes, and a murderous smile. - Alastor jerked away from Zach's touch, his lip twisted in disgust. "Worse now that you're here." He spat. "Have you come to ruin my life some more? I don't think you need help with that." He growled, slowly retreating backwards towards the bar, as if willing himself to just disappear. To his dismay, Zach followed. - "Aw, still a little fiery thing, aren't you? I missed that." Zach blew him a kiss, grinning. "So, my fake beloved, have a new 'friend' yet? Or are you too scared to even go near anyone." He let out a laugh, shaking his head. - Alastor closed his eyes, his face twitching with unbridled fury. "Get away from me, Zach. You've done enough." He stated lowly, his voice dangerous. He had hit the bar now, and couldn't go back any further. "Careful, a caged animal tends to attack." He snarled. - Zach waved his hand in the air. "Ah, but I could do so much more, my friend." He scoffed, his face mere inches from Alastor's as he blew out a slow breath. "But you would never attack me. You know you can't." He whispered. - Alastor finally just shoved past Zach and out the door, jogging away as quickly as he could without looking super suspicious. - "Run away, Alastor. That's always solved all your problems." Zach called, his blue eyes almost glowing as he disappeared. - Alastor grit his teeth, slowing to a fast walk as he tried to decide where to go. Hunger gnawed at his stomach, but he felt sick at the same time. He didn't know if he could eat or not. Flashbacks of those horrible days filtered into his mind. How long had Zach pretended to care about him just to gather INTEL? He was a fraud. Alastor growled under his breath and pushed his way into a coffee shop, collapsing in the back table without ordering anything, instead letting his head drop to the table with a hollow thump. He was so stupid. So so so stupid. Why couldn't life go RIGHT for ONCE?

Austin King 👑~👑 Austin began making an order for another customer. Just a coffee? Dang what shit in their cereal... Austin decided not to question it for the time being, pouring the black coffee into the cup. He stepped outside the counter and set it on the persons table. Then glanced around for more customers. Austin's eyes landed on those of the man the night before. At the bar... Oh great. Austin made his way over, staring down at the man and waiting for him to order or tell him to go away. When nothing came, he shifted his weight to his left side, hip jutting out slightly as he raised an eyebrow. "Are you going to order?" He asked, voice cold. Austin stared at him, wondering why he looked absolutely miserable. "Damn. Why do you look so miserable?" He asked, giving him a once over. Actually, he looked ready to cry. Or beat someone up. Possibly both. Austin hoped he wouldn't be that person. He would probably staple the damn wounds. Fucking medical bills... Austin stared at the man, his crystal blue-ish eyes seeming to stab into his soul. Oops? Austin had a black t-shirt on, with washed out blue jeans. He didn't have much else. It was pretty simple. Except for a redish amulet hooked around his neck and tucked into his shirt. Strange. It almost seemed to emit a glow... Hm.

Alastor Dagon +x+ Alastor stared at the burnished wood, the usual for coffee shops, so much that his brain started swimming. All he could see was Zach's smug ass of a face. Corrupt little demon of a demon. He switched back and forth from closing his eyes and trying to forget but ending up reliving bad memories and staring at the table trying to forget but seeing that conceited look anyway. After a couple minutes of this, he noticed someone walk up. Not really caring who, he just prayed they would go away. Then they spoke- he noticed the voice was the guy was the other night. With a barely audible sigh, he lifted his head, not wanting to look dead. Yet, anyway. It was probably rude to just saunter in here and not order... he kind of wanted to starve to death, though, but he knew he'd just get hungrier till he was in agony but it would never kill him. He was definitely NOT in the mood for this guy's cold My-Life-Is-Way-More-Miserable-Than-Yours voice. In fact, it kind of made Alastor want to strangle someone, but that was mostly because he was still furious with Zach. Stuck up know-it-all. Taking his attention off of his thoughts, he sucked in a breath, a slight snort escaping at the guy's next words. "You're not at the bar. You don't have to pretend to care." He said quietly, shaking his head. "I'll just have a coffee. As bitter and terrible tasting as anyone can possible make it." He added, resolving that since he was kind of being a jerk he'd give another generous tip. Not like he had to live with the money. He was really just working to fill up his miserable time. His golden eyes darkened as he thought about it. He should've NEVER got involved with humans in the first place. He would've never met Zach, or... Zephyr. A bit of sadness and remorse replaced the anger as he thought about the one other person he had ever cared about. Aww great. Now he was sad and irritated. Couldn't he get a break?

Austin King 👑~👑 Austin hummed. "I don't care. There is no pretending here." He said blandly. He gave the man an unimpressed look. "You're not going to yell at me after I give you your coffee? Like every other homosapien on this Earth does?" He asked. He didn't honestly care. Austin realized he did not care. Everyone was the same and it was annoying. he could live and die with that. Austin shrugged and walked away, slipping behind the counter. He grabbed a mug and poured the blackest coffee possible. Honestly, he should put some Kahlúa in the coffee. Butttttt, that may totally get him in trouble and he could not risk losing this job. Austin walked back over to the man, setting the coffee down. Still not as gentle as he probably should have. But, for the umpteenth time that day, he found he didn't care. Austin walked away, letting the man sulk as he greeted another person. This time, he didn't try to look happy. This caused the person to hurry over quickly for Yuri's help. Austin rolled his eyes and glanced at the new customer. He smiled at them, but his eyes obviously showed he hated life and being here.

Alastor Dagon +x+ "Delightful." Alastor rolled his eyes, then lifted his eyebrow slightly at the man's use of words. Interesting. But untrue, nevertheless. "I'm not every other homosapien." He answered, flat out, totally.. telling the truth. Not that the guy would care. As they walked away, he ran a hand through his hair, thinking. Again. Why did he have the strong urge to want to get to know this guy better? Talk about a buzzkill- like, how was he even supposed to make the man smile? It seemed impossible. As the coffee got dropped on his table, he tried not to snort. Gah, this guy was like every other sad sap. Alastor took the ot coffee, taking a sip and leaning back, almost enjoying the pain as it burned the roof of his mouth. Perfect. He watched the other customers all but run away from the man, and he really didn't blame them- unfriendly was anice way of describing them. His eyes caught on the amulet looking thingy around the man's neck. He didn't like the feeling... every time he saw it, he almost felt sick. He didn't know why, nor did he care. He sat silently, waiting and watching, ready to speak but yet not really wanting to. He still did feel that strange urge to speak to the sour guy, though. He definitely didn't know why- he already felt bad enough, he didn't need that person insulting him more.

Austin King 👑~👑 Austin stared at a kid that just came into the store. He blinked when they asked for a black coffee for themselves. "You want a black coffee?" He asked, giving them a totally unimpressed look. The little girl nodded excitedly. "Heh.... yeah no. Also, you have to pay for this stuff somewa-" Austin was cut off as the girl started all but wailing for her daddy. Austin clenched his jaw, looking up as a buff guy walked in. He grumbled. Of course, it was a body builder looking shits daughter. He looked at Austin, who raised an eyebrow. "Why is my daughter crying?" He snapped. "Well, maybe it's because you left her alone? How should I know? It's not my responsibility." He drawled., calling the little girl an It. Yuri shoved him to the side, causing him to stumble with a small grunt. "I'm so sorry about that, sir! Let me take your order." She said quickly, voice honey sweet. Austin rolled his eyes. Yuri shooed him away and he huffed, straightening up and walking over to the tables. He began asking them if they needed anything else and whatnot. Until he got to the guy who was seemingly everywhere. Which pissed him off. "Do you want a refill, anything else, or are you done?" He asked, looking at him. His amulet felt hot against his chest and he shifted uncomfortably... Wird. Why was it hot? Eh, he didn't really care all too much. That seemed to be something that happened often. Austin not caing. (Damn- Bro's ruthless)
