Cassius Abel
-
Cassius stood, still as a statue, his head pointing towards the sky. The smell of animal in the wind caught attention. After all those strange events in the village, Cassius planned to avoid town for at least a week, hopefully things will cool down. Cassius stalked forward, his now bare feet hitting the dirt with a soft thunk. He was now in the dense forest that surrounded his hut, perhaps at least 500-700 metres deep.
Infront of him, a young buck moved ever so slightly, Cassius's hunger surged immediately. The deer lowered its head and bit into a carrot, the very same he had brought earlier, when he met that strange man. Cassius now crouched, in the dense bracken, waiting for the golden moment.
The young buck lowered his head again, now fully focused on the carrot. Cassius smiled to himself, the muscles in his legs bunching as got ready to jump. The wind howled around them, making the buck a little skittish. Cassius let out a loud growl and heaved himself forward, muscles rippling like a dangerous feline.
The weight of the buck beneath him buckled, and tripped. Cassius lashed forward, sinking his sharp fangs into the soft flesh of the animals neck. The buck let out a terrible scream, Cassius flinched, if he allowed the buck to keep on screaming, others would hear and investigate. Cassius reached out, a hand around the deers neck, and squeezed with his gifted unnatural strength. The deers screams fizzled out into a gurgle as Cassius broke it's neck.
Cassius bent over the dead deer, his fangs pushing into the veins, filling his mouth with gamey blood. It was better this then a human. Cassius stayed over the deer for at least 15 minutes before the deer was completely drained. Cassius shook his head, a smile appearing on his bloodied face "join us in death, brother" he said to the deers carcass before turning away, the wolves would finish it off.

(That would be great, ty! And, I'm think 21-24… but I don't really know yet 😅😅😅)
Prince Vincent Omveran
~~~
Vincent's eyes traveled hungrily over the canvas, tracing every detail of the man he could remember. Tracing the shape of his eyes, the sharpness of his jaw, the coolness of his features. Everything. And he was admiring it all. When Vincent finished the drawing, he looked over the sketch appreciatively. It looked like the man. Exactly how he remembered him. Vincent smiled a bit, eyes roaming the canvas once more as he put the charcoal away. Vincent noticed the black on his fingers and hummed quietly. He'd have to wash that off. Vincent stood, holding tightly on his desk as a wave of nausea hit him. Vincent grasped his side, eyes focused on the floor as he pulled a face. What the Hell? He slowly straightened up, the nausea spinning through his mind and wrenching his gut. He gagged slightly, pulling another face. Vincent took slow, steady breaths, walking toward his bed with even movements. When he got to his bed he gently sat down and glanced over at the windows. The sun had set by now, the moon risen and casting a faint glow over the village and forest below. Vincent's shoulders relaxed slightly, his gaze softening as he stared out the windows. He wished he could live down there sometimes… him and Stephanie had once planned to do so. But they knew now running away was no option. Vincent pulled his long legs up, slipping them under the silky covers of his bed. He shivered slightly at the chill of the sheets and slowly sunk into them. He grasped blindly for his blanket. It was one of the only soft, and not silky, materials he owned. He pulled the soft material close to his face, pressing his cheek into the fabric. Vincent let out a small breath as his mind wandered to the events of that day.
1. He was getting married
2. Mother and Father were now planning an event of sorts
3. He met, and talked to, briefly a very handsome stranger.
- He was very very hot.
- His name is, hopefully, not Sam
Vincent sighed and rubbed the back of his slender hand over his eyes. He was not looking forward to two of those things. At all. Vincent slowly closed his eyes, curling around his blanket comfortably. The nausea feeling hadn't fully subsided, but most of it had passed. Allowing him to slip asleep a moment later.
~~~The next morning~~~
Vincent awoke to someone gently shaking him. He promptly threw a pillow at them. Thankfully, it was Jackson, and not his mother or father. That wouldn't have gone well. He heard a small, ‘oof’ and opened one eye blearily. Seeing Jackson holding a pillow, scowling at him he smirked tiredly.
“Direct hit.”
He mumbled and Jackson rolled his eyes.
“Your mother and father have requested you for breakfast.”
He said, causing Vincent to bolt upright and look at his butler.
“Tell me this isn't true.”
He said quickly, scrambling out of bed. He had a feeling it was true though, so he hurriedly ran to his closet.
“Did they mention a dress code!?”
He yelled out to Jackson, looking through his clothing.
“Yes. I quote, ‘Something nice. Make sure he wears the family colors.’”
Jackson yeledback, walking to Vincent's bed and beginning to straighten it. As well as replacing the pillow. Vincent groaned. He hated wearing family colors. He grabbed the clothing needed and put it all on, getting help from Jackson for his jewelry as Vincent buttoned his shirt. Jackson finished putting his earrings in and Vincent sighed in relief.
“Thank you, Jackson.”
He said, pulling at his cuffs as he walked to the door. He pushed the door open once again and stepped out. Jackson stepped out as well, bowed, and began showing him the way. Even if Vincent knew the palace like the back of his hand by now, it was mandatory for butlers or maids to show them to areas they've been requested to. Vincent's eyes fell on his mother, father, and Stephanie. Vincent just about gagged again. He walked into the room, sitting at the small table they were all seated around. Stephanie gave him a small, worried look, which quickly snapped back to normal when mother and father greeted him. Vincent nodded back.
“Hello mother, father, sister.”
He replied. Vincent didn't even glance at his food. He knew not to eat until they had talked about whatever needed to be talked about. Which made eating incredibly awkward and silent. His father spoke up first,
“Hello, son. We would like to discuss the events of the Ball with you.”
He said and Vincent stared at him. He felt his jaw going slack and quickly tensed it to keep it in place.
His father didn't seem to care, or notice, as he continued,
“It will be in about two weeks, due to preparations. Families from around the realm have been invited to attend. This ball will be to find a suitable fit for you.”
He told Vincent, who is probably becoming somehow even paler. Possibly greener too. He felt incredibly sick now and the lingering nausea was not helping.
“Yes father.”
He said, voice strained. This time, his mother broke the silence.
“We're doing this for you dear.”
She said, her bittersweet tone causing Vincent and Stephanie to flinch in sync. Vincent forced a smile and nodded.
“Yes, mother. Thank you, mother.”
His tongue felt like lead as his head spun with the thought of being forced to marry someone he didn't wish to. And to create an heir… the thought irked him.
“Good. Let us eat.”
His father said, smiling widely. Vincent wanted to punch him, but managed not to. He had a lot of practice by now. Vincent looked down at his food. He had lost his appetite by now. Probably when he sat down if he was honest. Stephanie looked ready to puke as well, eating her French toast slowly, chewing just as so. Vincent's gaze went to the glass of water next to his plate and stayed there. He focused on the glass as his stomach sank. This was not going to be a fun two weeks, he didn't think. Maybe mystery man could make him feel better? But even that thought seemed less likely now.

Cassius Abel
-
Cassius sat in his large stone tub, warm water heating his permanently frozen body. His golden curls kissed the surface of the steaming water, his eyes shut, enjoying the moment. The vampire stayed in the water until it turned cold, the steam no longer rising.
Cassius rose up from out of the water, night had passed into day along with the hot water in his tub. Cassius leaned over and grabbed his towel from his bed, sponging his face with soft Egyptian wool.
The vampire collected his sewn jeans and loose shirt and put them on, today was another day of mining or whatever Victor needed. He just needed to avoid the village central.
The the path down to the village from Cassius's was muddy and the stones were loose. If it weren't for Cassius's Feline like instincts, he would of fell and covered himself in mud and horse shit. Cassius soon turned away from the path, avoiding the village guards, as always, and heading down a muddy slope to the forge.
"Victor! Victor!" Cassius called, waiting at the front of the forge. Victor appeared in the mouth of the threshold, "I have a customer right now, be quiet" he growled at Cassius, who huffed and slumped down beside a sack of iron. Cassius shrivelled his head to the side, attempting to get a look inside. His eyes caught on a gleam of metal, Cassius growled, this was a stranger.
After 10 minutes of waiting, a figure dressed in armour made out of a strange black metal walked through the forge entrance (vampire Hunter?) and Cassius stared at him wearily as he plodded on past. Something about that figure sent chills down through Cassius's already frozen bones. "Cassius?" Victor stood in the doorway, eyebrow raised, Cassius sighed and stood up. "What?" He asked, rubbed a hand through his golden hair. "I need some wood, to keep the forge burning" Victor said.
"Okay, going" Cassius said, turning and walking back the way he came.

(OOOOOOH!)

Prince Vincent Omveran

~~~
After forcing his way through the horribly disgusting and horriblly silent breakfast, the family had parted ways. Father went to go do whatever kings do, mother went to plan the stomach churning Ball, Stephanie went to her room, to do whatever. Vincent, on the other hand, went back to his room. He sighed when he stepped inside the lavish bedroom. Walking to the bed, he flopped onto it with a whine. Heated sleep. Or to not be forced to be married. But hey! Traditions! He wanted to throw up. After a long few moments of contemplative silence, he stood, dragging himself to his closet. He changed clothing quickly, pulling on something more comfortable. Vincent stepped out of his closest and set his head against the wall silently. After another few moments to will himself to move, he walked to his windows. Staring out of them at the bustling village below.
The mystery man.
Vincent glanced to the side, where the charcoal sketch of the man was sitting on his desk. He walked over to it and stared at it for a second before making up his mind. He was going to find hot mystery man.
He slipped out of his room once more, feet stepping through the halls with small sounds. He made his way to the doors once again and grabbed his cloak, hooking it on again. He was determined to find mystery guy. Considering his week was already going to go horribly. Vincent wrapped the clock around his shoulders, clasping it in the front and walking out the doors. His feet pittered against the stone of the stairs as he made his way down to the gate. The guards avoided looking at him, probably from the time before. Vincent didn't mind one bit. He flipped his hood up and began making his way toward town.
Vincent looked around, the town center seemed to be calmer today. Still crowded, but calmer. Vincent hurried past the food vendors, occasionally glancing over the wares that other vendors had. His eyes landed on the,
‘Women Tailors,’
again and he smiled slightly. He glanced around the area near it, hazel eyes examining every person. When he didn't find anyone who matched the mystery man, he sighed in disappointment. Vincent turned around, looking back down the rows and rows of vendors. His gaze was quickly drawn to that of a vendor who was selling something that looked to be leather made. Vincent quickly made his way over, curiosity overtaking him. When he got closer he recognized the wares as leather sheaths. Vincent hadn't managed to get one, since his parents were very strict about him welding dangers and not swords. He rolled his eyes at the thought.
“Hello, do you have a sheath for,”
Vincent paused, flipping his cloak back slightly and pulling out a hidden dagger. It was a dark metal with a ruby embedded in the hilt. It was large enough to fit his hand on the hilt, but small enough to hurt someone.
“This?”
He finished, holding out the dagger for the vendor to examine. The vendor gaped at the pristine dagger and nodded quickly. Vincent didn't quite understand the man, but he made out the black tinted leather sheath fit his dagger. Perfect. Vincent smiled slightly and nodded, taking his dagger and the leather sheath, trading in 13 coins with a small, shhh, movement.
“Thank you, come again!”
The vendor said quietly, going back to trying to coax people over. Vincent hummed quietly and stopped for a moment, (maybe Cassius smells his blood? IDK RANDOM THOUGHT + ear ringing—) fitting the sheath to be hidden under his cloak and shoving the dagger inside. Vincent took a small breath and glanced around once more.
“Alright… mystery man time. Where could he be?”
He thought aloud, standing on his toes to see over the taller people that mixed with the crowds. The mystery man was taller than him, so he should stick out. That was if Vincent could locate any of his whereabouts this morning.
(Hmm, try asking the villagers... hehe. Sure thing he would smell his blood, but probably only in a 100-200 metre radius in daylight)
Cassius Abel
-
Cassius held a chipped stone axe in his right hand, his slender pale fingers wrapped around the oak handle. He was roaming Kalabrook Forest, the Forest the wrapped around the village and castle like a warm blanket.
Cassius threw down the lead rope to a quiet bay gelding, along with his shirt. It was time for hard work.
Cassius lifted the stone axe above his head, bringing it down on a fallen log. Cassius grabbed his saw and started to cut along the chip in the wood he made with the axe.
Soon enough Cassius had 4 smaller logs, he hefted them onto the wooden raft connected to the horses harness. Cassius turned and moved onto a dead tree, standing tall with out stretching dead limbs. Once again, Cassius lifted the stone axe, swinging it in a perfect arc so that it landed home in the side of the thick tree trunk. Cassius wretched the axe free and grabbed for the saw.
A low growl sounded out behind him, Cassius stood up, the axe still in hand and turned to see a large black bear at the edge of the clearing, it's beady black eyes locked on him. Cassius sighed, he wasn't interested in picking a fight with this bear, but, the bear apparently had other ideas.
The large bear roared, standing on his hand paws, his long claws slashing at the air infront of him. Cassis growled in response, the axe heavy in his hand. The bear dropped on all fours and bared his teeth, launching forward and charging at him. Cassius didn't know what to do, he had never grown up around bears or ever read about them.
Cassius howled with pain as the bear finally reached him, its jaws closing around his bicep. He knew that this bite wasn't going to leave a mark, thanks to his vampire healing but it still hurt. Blood smeared Cassius's white newly repaired shirt, Cassius roared back at the black bear, he hands grasping at its fur, tearing it away in chunks.
Cassius roared in pain again, his arm was left in tatters but his hands were still useful. Cassius pushed his uninsured arm forward, his hand digging into flesh with his unnatural strength, clawing at the bears chest. Making it bleed.
The bear roared and Cassius kept clawing at the muscle on the bears chest, hoping to get the vital organs, lungs or heart. The bear gave a agonised scream as Cassius caught hold of the bears heart. Blood erupted from the bears chest, covering him neck to knee. Cassius watched as the bear dropped infront of him, blood gurgling from his mouth. Cassius smiled at the dead creature, and grabbed his axe, returning it his work.
Prince Vincent Omveran
~~~

Vincent sighed in disappointment, his eyes traveling over the crowd as he looked around for the mystery guy. Again. But there was no sign of him. Vincent ran a hand down his face and swept his hair out of his eyes. His gaze slowly traveled to the palace, landing on a large barn off the to right side. He then glanced at the forest and shrugged. He might as well. Vincent began making his way through the crowds of the village, pushing himself toward the palace gate. He flipped his hood off a bit before he got to the gate, making sure the guards saw his vibrant red and black hair. Vincent kept the cloak hooked around his chest, keeping it on incase needed to use it. Vincent made his way towards the black marble barn to the right of the palace. Many guards walked by him, glancing at him in suspicion, but none said anything. Which Vincent was highly grateful for. He opened the large doors of the barn and walked in. Vincent smiled slightly at the smell of the clean barn, which had the undertone of horses. A stable boy hurried over to him,
“Sier you didn't say you were coming! I'll get Majestic right out fo—”
He rambled. Vincent cut him off.
“I can prepare him myself, thank you.”
He said curtly, brushing by the shocked stable boy and walking down the hall. When he got to a stall, which had a gray-white (horse breed)(Andalusian maybe?) gelding sticking its head out of, he smiled.
“Hello, Majestic.”
He muttered, reaching the gelding and gently stroking its face. The gelding nudged him a bit, seeming very energetic today. Vincent's smile widened as he grabbed Majestic's leather halter. Vincent stepped into the stall and put the halter on the gelding, patting the horse's neck. He led the gelding out, glancing at a stable boy and calling him over.
“Please hold him.”
He said simply, watching as the stable boy scrambled to take Majestics lead, holding the horse in place. Vincent did a one over of Majestic and decided he didn't need tack for today. Vincent needed a day off. They could just go mosy around, he supposed. Vincent turned to his right, grabbing a bridle off the wall and approaching Majestic. Vincent took the lad from the stable boy, sliding the halter off and quickly replacing it with the bridle. Majestic whinnied quietly and threw his head in excitement. Vincent chuckled quietly and went to the geldings' side. Vincent bent his legs, jumping onto the gelding and swinging his leg over Majestics body. Majestic pawed the ground and Vincent hummed.
“That's bad for your feet.”
He said, talking to his horse. Vincent pressed on Majestic side gently, turning him around to face the back stable doors. He clicked to Majestic, having his walk towards the large door watching as the stable boy opened them. Vincent's eyes flitted over the forest in front of him. Two guards guarding the door looked back curiously but quickly resumed position when seeing it was Vincent. Majestic was very energetic, prancing slightly. Vincent glanced at the guards and nodded before pressing his calves slightly further into Majestics sides. Majestic took off into a canter and Vincent grinned. Oh he missed this.
Majestic weaved through the forest easily, jumping over fallen logs and splashing through puddles. Both knew this path well, having ridden it so many times before.
Vincent soon his head slightly, his red and black hair shaking as well. He sighed in annoyance. Freaking hair. He slowed Majestics’ antsy self to a walk, dropping the reins. He got a tie and parted half of his hip, then wrapped the tie around the hair to keep it up. Vincent sighed in relief as he dropped his slender fingers back to he reins. They would be at the lake soon if he remembered this path correctly. Maybe he could find an animal of sorts. Not have he had his bow on him. Pity. He should have brought it. Vincent continued his walk, Majestics feet thumping softly across the wet ground.
(Vincent doesn't hear Cassius or the bears roars because he got out there after ;))

(Cassius is going to take a long road home, maybe stop by this 'lake' he needs to wash the blood off)
Cassius Abel
-
Cassius hefted a log up and onto the pile with the others, using his newly healed arm. Blood dried in clots on his shirt, both his and the bears. Cassius growled at the substance, he detested bear blood, that's why he never hunts them.
Cassius turned and looked at the pile of wood, hitched to the horse, Victor was sure to have enough wood. The vampire reached out and grabbed the horses reins, "come on" for once, the horse turned and followed Cassius without a problem. Cassius eyed it suspiciously, horses never behaved this way around him, or any creature for that fact. He shook his head and turned away from the horse, pulling the horse along the track they came. After following that track for 5 minutes, Cassius turned the horse down a different path, a longer one.
The path they followed led to a lake, Cassius knew that much. The mud suctioned at Cassius feet, along with the horses behind him. "Stupid endless rain.." Cassius mutters, pulling his mauled shirt closer around him, it's not like he could feel the cold much, but he just didn't like the cold. At all.
This track was quite long, but he was determined to get to the lake, he needed to wash this shirt. Villagers would suspect something amiss if they saw him all bloodied up without a wound. Plus, the horse would need a refill on water. Cassius grunted and tugged on the horses lead, who, nickered and pulled against the strain of the mud. "Come on!" He said, urging the horse on. The smaller gelding grunted and pulled through the patch of mud, it's sides heaving from the suction of the mud.
-
Cassius sighed with relief, the crystalline waters of the lake were starting to come into view. The horse behind him let out a audible huff, clearly happy to see the beautiful sight.

Prince Vincent Omveran
~~~
Vincent cued for Majestic to canter, holding his body in place as the gelding centered toward a... dead bear? Thankfully Majestic didn't stop to sniff it. Or spook at it. Vincent lifted himself up a bit, letting Majestic jump the corpse. Vincent and Majestic landed on the other side and Vincent slowed the gelding down to a walk. Vincent sighed quietly, shoulders relaxing slightly. He was surrounded by nature. The trees flew high over his head, some draping down low. He heard birds chirping in the distance, and animals coping elsewhere. Bugs buzzed, covering the silence. He was fine… it was okay out here. He was safe out here. His mother couldn't get him here. Nor his father. The stupid marriage couldn't either. Vincent smiled slightly, patting Majestic's neck and humming as he sat back up. He let his long legs hang down Majestics side. They didn't reach anywhere near the ground. Majestic was not a small gelding. Vincent could hear running water a bit in front of him, which signaled the lake was close. Too bad he didn't bring anything to wear swimming. Vincent and Majestic appeared through a small clearing which sloped down into the water. Vincent's eyes brightened at the glittery water in front of him. Majestic's ears perked, pawing at the ground excitedly. Vincent felt a large grin spread over his face. His pink lips parting to reveal two rows of perfectly white teeth. Vincent didn't have time to react when Majestic all but jumped into the water. Vincent yelped quietly, falling forward slightly on Majestics back a bit, but managing to stay on. Majestic pranced around and Vincent burst into laughter. His laughs were joyous and amused. He hadn't laughed this hard in so long. It felt nice... Majestic hopped his front feet up slightly, splashing through the water. Vincent finally jumped off, landing in the water and stumbling, falling over backwards and landing in the water. The red in his hair simmered from the coat of water layered on it. Majestic threw his head, throwing his Grey hair over his neck. Vincent ran a hand through his own wet vibrant red hair, pushing to his feet. Vincent hadn't felt this happy in so so long time. It made him question why he didn't bring Majestic out here more often.
(May add more!!!)
Cassius Abel
-
Cassius stalked through the trees, the horse walking steadily and the logs behind it crashing through the grass. Cassius growled at the sound.
Cassius dropped the horses lead onto a nearby branch and crept forward, crouching in the green grass.
Cassius could hear splashing and laughing, he frowned and moved steadily through the trees, still crouching. There, in his view was the young man he met yesterday outside of 'Women Tailers' Cassius went still, his eye wide. There he stood, the nerve he had, to stand there playing in the water with his horse. Wetting his lush black and red hair, shining white teeth gleaming in the sun. Cassius growled, his body heated ever so slightly. This man, he shouldn't be here.
Cassius forced himself to turn away from the angelic view, closing his eyes. He was here to wash his shirt, and water his horse. That was all. the smell of heated metallic blood wafted from the human again, Cassius shook his head. He wasn't supposed to be feeling this way, he had work to do. And that didn't include this man. Cassius growled again, his feelings seemed to be going to war. Cassius sighed, perhaps one more little peak wouldn't hurt.
Cassius opened his eyes, turning to looks around the branches around him. The man, still splashing around, his hair down, brushing his pale white shoulders.. Cassius shook his head, he had his peak, he needed to get away from this majestic human. Cassius turned away, walking back to the horse, hopefully he was able to get this horse and it's heavy load around to another side of the lake, where the human couldn't see them.
Cassis grabbed at the horses reins, pulling hard, commanding the horse to follow. The gelding strained against its heavy load and followed obediently, the sound of broken grass and branches filled their small clearing. The sound from the noisy gelding was grinding against Cassius's nerves, he was trying to avoid that human, not bring it over! Cassius looked over at the human, but he couldn't see him anymore. Cassius sighed in relief, hopefully the human didn't notice, Cassius tugged on the horses lead again and led it forward.
