Angelica wanted to get up to the structure somehow, but she didn't know how. She lifted her wings and flew to the sky, her hooves touching down on the soft grass on the outside of the wall. She looked around at the guards and other pegasi. She tossed her mane and stomped her hoof. A group of yearlings pranced around, lifting their wings to show off how large they were. Angelica dropped her head and watched the fillies flutter their feathers then take off into the sky, laughing as they went. She knew they were laughing at her small wings, but she paid no attention to it. She wanted to get inside and explore. The draft mare trotted around the courtyard on the outside of the walls. She watched a couple stand outside the gates and nuzzle each other. They then opened their wings and flew away. That's when she noticed the mare was heavy with foal. Angel snorted softly and walked a little, her wings limp from lifting her heavy body up to the castle. She shook the dust off of her back then folded her ruby wings.

Warren trotted down a hallway with more gold then blue in it, from memory, the royal court yard was only at least 200m away. Warren's wings fluttered at the thought of being so close to freedom, Warren couldn't wait any further. The young Knight turned and cantered down a hall, turning again, the arch way to the Royal court yard was only a few metres away. Warren turned, stepping into the mouth of the courtyard, inside he could hear voices, "...It is very important.. you need people to guard it! And I don't mean a silly amount of six with little to no skill!.." Warren frowned, who were they? And who were they speaking to? Warren carefully peered around the corner of the archway to see his older brother Izar, his mother and his father facing a black Pegasus, who was decorated with scars and a scrappy cloak. "Yes, we will do that" Warrens father said dismissively, he watched as his mother sifted nervously "One of our sons.. Warriors call.. his a Knight of great skill, but, I am afraid he dosent like us much.." she said, Warren flinched at the sorrow in her voice, when he left he hadn't ment to cause his mother pain and anger, just to get away. Warren shook his head, I can't get all sentimental now, seems like the flight court yard will have to do, Warren thought, turning and galloping away.

Angelica walked along the wall until she came to the gate. She could see inside but it was all lush green grass and flowers. She pushed against the gate and tried her best to peer around the gate bars. Suddenly a voice from behind her made her jump. "Hey Angel. Whatcha doin up here?" Figaro tilted his head and trotted to her side. He tossed his short white mane and fluttered his pure white feathers. His head bobbed and he stopped beside her. He looked small compared to her thick build even though he was almost a hand taller than her. Angelica flicked her ears and rested her right hind hoof. "I could ask you the same thing" she answered, her eyes flicking around the large area. She knew it was the castle that held the Royals, but she could never be to cautious. Anything could happen and it could be life changing- whether good or bad. Figaro rolled his eyes. "I was looking for you." He ducked his head "I was hoping you knew of a water source nearby. I got lost and saw you fly up here so I thought I'd come and ask you" He pricked his ears forward and flicked his tail. "Maybe there's some inside? Or one of those pegasi would know where to go?" She saw a group of pegasi guards working out and practicing their flying. She watched in awe as they flew and diver, their feathers tucking neatly at their side as they tore through the air. Figaro laughed at her and used one of his wings to push her jaw back together. "You were almost drooling there for a second" he chuckled and spun on his hind, his tail flicking her for a second then swishing as he walked away. Angelica stood at the gate. She was amazed by how they could catch a single gust of wind and be lifted higher into the sky. She could barely fly in a straight line much less so amazing tricks and be able to fight midair.

Warren skidded around a corner, his hooves slipping on the polished floor. Warren let out a little nicker of concern, these floors were way to polished.. so unlike his own home, New Wandour Stronghold. Warren ran over the mental map in his head, he should be at the Flight court yard soon. Warren came to a small intersection in the halls and turned left, skidding to a stop when a Pegasus dressed in full armour greeted his vision. Warren let out a small warning growl before making a move to get past the guard, "your highness, you are needed in the throne room" he said and Warren nodded, "alright, alright, I will go now" he said, clearly lying but the guard shook his head, "I was asked to escort you to the throne room" he said, flicking his ears. Warren snorted in annoyance, he couldn't lash out at the guard because he didn't deserve it, he was just doing what he was told. "Alright.. take me to them.." he said reluctantly, carrying his head high and walking behind the iron covered guard. The guard led Warren through the Flight court yard and back through the main doors, but not before Warren spotted a White colt and a strawberry roan mare, Warren paused. These two were unfamiliar to the castle, he could sense that much. The guard now stood beside the door, looking at Warren with curiosity. "Hey! You two? Who are you?" He yelled, neither of them carried servant markings or armour that made them guards. Castle Selsmire didn't have much guests around, and even if they did, they would be of high rank. Selsmire Castle didn't have their Tennents close to them, but on surrounding sky islands.

The two Pegasi stood together at the gate. "How do they do that?" Angelica asked, her eyes glued to the powerful muscles of each beautiful winged horse. Fig beat his wings and lifted from the ground, flying above Angelica just a few feet away from her back. "I dont know. Father tried to teach me when I was young since he was a retired guard, but I was too young to fully understand the tricks. He landed on her other side, his face now against the bars. He had a forlorn expression, so she decided to be a little mischievous. Angelica bumped Figaro with her head, watching him tumble over. She laughed and tossed her head as he scrambled to his hooves. "I'm too big for that!" He protested then lifted his head in the direction of a loud, booming voice. Angelica looked between the gate bars at two pegasi. "Oh, um..." Angel searched for words, but Figaro was a step ahead of her. "Im Figaro. We were searching for water down below and my friend, Angelica and I were wondering if anyone here would know where to find it, Your Highness" He gave a quick bow. Angelica stood frozen solid. "Thats the prince?" Angelica asked Figaro quietly, falling into her own bow. "Yep. He's the youngest" Figaro answered. He pricked hips ears forward as he waited for an answer.

Warren watched them bow, the strawberry roan was slower then the white colt, if they had been servants like he suspected, they would have bowed in unison. "Water... had trouble finding some.. hm! We can help you with that" he said turning and flicking his wings, the guard at the door sighed before bowing "we can drop them off before we enter the throne room, your highness" Warren narrowed his eyes thoughtfully "Nah, we will bring them with us, to the throne room" Warren chuckled, if he had to go speak to his parents, then at least he would find a way to amuse himself while at it. He looked at the two Pegasi "follow along"

Angelica tried not to look as flabbergasted as she felt, but he expression still showed on her face. "Come with you, Your Highness? May I ask why?" She did as told even though she was questioning his motives. Figaro was beaming as he trotted up to Angelica's side. "Shush Angel. This is a once in a lifetime moment. Take it spin and don't ask questions" he whispered to her. She pinned her ears and nipped at his neck, but that only made him turn and nip back. She flicked her red tail against his white side and he snorted. The two gave each other sideways glances which made them laugh. They fought to keep a straight face and ended up staring straight ahead. Angelica's heavy strides were shorted that Figaros longer strides, his hooves clinking softly against the ground. The mares hoofbeats could be heard all the way down the hall and she hung her head when horses turned and watched them

Warren snorted in amusement, watching the guard next to him glare in annoyance at the two Pegasi behind them. Warren swung his head around at the other two, "what's your names?" He asked, he wasn't great at this greeting thing as he usually had a servant to do it for him. Warren lifted his wings, stretching them in the wide hallway. "Ever been inside the castle?"

Angelica perked up. This was a question she could answer. "Im Angelica and this is Figaro" the yearling bobbed his head as his name was called. She watched as the prince stretched his wings out. She felt instantly uncomfortable and jealous. Were there any other full grown horses with small wings or was it just her? She flicked her tail. "This is my first time" she looked at Figaro who had completely forgotten to answer. "Oh- first time" he answered quickly.

Warren stalked along next to the grumpy guard, "ah ok! Where do you come from Angelica? Figaro?" He asked, sparing a small peak at them. They continued along, the people in the halls grew fewer and fewer. "We are getting closer to our destination, are we not guard?" He said, looking at the guard, who to his discredit, was already looking lost. "When we get to the room we would like, indulge yourselves in whatever you would like.
