Adrien gives him a weird look, as a human would, but he knew. He was half demon, so he knew that they liked dark, bitter stuff. He makes a black coffee, nothing ele in it and sighs reluctantly. Pulling out his whiskey bottle he usually carries with him to, satisfiy his cravings. He tips the bottle over and pours some of it into the coffee. Putting the bottle back and walking back out with his coffee. He walks over to the demon, handing him the coffee. "Enjoy." He mtters, walking away. He doesn't miss the way the demons eyes are only on him. -God, he was sent after me wasn't he.- He thinks, grimacing behind the counter.

Sage didn't care much about the odd look the man gave him...he was rather used to that. Humans gave him weird looks left and right, and even other demons gave him looks pretty often. WHen he was around them...he avoided them when he could. Then again, he could always be sent after one of them...it had happened plenty, so he didn't really make any friends. He didn't want to and then have to kill them. He'd rather just stay alone. He grunted out some form of thanks when the man came back and handed him the cup, noting the almost cautious tone of his voice, and he made a mental note to maybe be a bit nicer. He couldn't play around with him if he never spoke to him again. He propped his feet up on the table and crossed his legs, taking a tentative sip of the coffee. He chuckled slightly when it seemed to burn his throat but made the move to create a bottle of whiskey that he added to the mix himself to make it stronger. He sipped on it again and nodded slightly before chugging the rest of the drink a moment later and moving to get up from the table, sort of just tossing some money on the counter where Adrien was as he went past. He had a certain way of tracking him, so he'd go sit in the woods and wait. He could make it seem like they kept accidentally meeting up, in town or whatever.

Adrien took the money. He knew the demon could find him if he wanted to. Plus he was going to start showing up in his dreams so no point in not taking the money. A little later his shift ends so he grabs his bag and walks out of the cafe. He sighs, walking to a mountain, once he gets all the way up the mountain he drops his bag and sits down. -Can't wait to be haunted.- Adrien thinks, dragging his hands down his face. His head starts to throb and he sniffs the air. -Ugh, that demon is nearby... Whatever not like I care at this point...- Adrien thinks, pulling out his drawing pad and beginning to sketch the landscape.

Sage waited for a while before realizing Adrien had settled down and then wandered down the trails until he came over nearby and leaned against the mountain. "What's a big guy like you doing working in a cafe," he asked, admittedly genuinely curious about it. The guy looked like a body builder ....not someone who served coffee. It was a bit silly really, he thought. He slid down to sit where he'd previously been standing. There was no point in staying standing.

Arien rolls his eyes. He looked like that cause he could fly. This demon had to have known that but apparently not. "I work there because I love cats. And second your the guy who wanted black coffee with whiskey." He says, avoiding his eye. He didn't really want to look at a demon right now. Considering his mom had been one... he shakes his head and the thought leaves him. He looks back at the demon. "And what are you doing talking with me?" He asks, admittedly this demon was handsome. But there personality's were sh!t. I mean... not that he was one to talk.

Sage sort of chuckled at the guys comments about cats. "I'm not sure coffee goes with cats," he mused and then grunted in agreement with the comment about his coffee. "Maybe I'm drunk," he joked in response to his other comment about why he was talking to him. "You could have just sent poor old drunk me off into the woods by myself," he mused, sort of trying at a tease to see how the guy would respond. He did note that Adrien seemed weary of him...not that he blamed him, he didn't exactly look like the most welcoming person.

He shrugs. "I should send you away." He says, although he was thinking -I don't like demons. Including myself.- Adrien decided to let him stay, giving him a wry look before lying back on the grass. He looks up and sees a wing... -Oh crap. If I was assigned a demon I was probably assigned an angel to "rid" the demon.- He thinks, acting quickly and shoving the demon out of the way. He hates demons but he hates angels even more. He racks his brain for an excuse for why he shoved the demon when he says. "Sorry, I thought I saw a bird above you." That wasn't techinecally a lie. He sits up, looking back at the sky. -Try a little harder next time.- He thinks, taking a deep breath of air and smelling nothing but the burning smell of gasoline that's the scent of a demon. He closes his eyes relaxing a bit.

Sage sort of chuckled dryly and shrugged in response to the man's comment. "Well that's up to you I suppose," he pointed out, then stiffened when he suddenly smelled an angel. It wasn't uncommon....angels were sent to kill of demons and vice versa all the time. Except they normally didn't kill....it was worse than that. And no one ever escaped once they were caught. He let out a surprised yelp when he was shoved out of the way, and let his hair fall out of his face for a moment, giving this Adrien a rather shocked look. "You can't possibly be afraid of birds," he said after a second. "There's no way. You're like a thousand of them," he pointed out. Heck, the guy was practically two of him. At least a couple inches taller and definitely heavier. Not fat though....the guy was packed. And he could admit that he was pretty good looking. He almost didn't want to kill him. Well, that was fine...he'd take his time.

"I'm not. I thought I saw something about to fall on you. So I took precautions." Adrien snaps back. Angry at the demon for being so unobservent. He sucks in a deep breath. Holding it for a second or two before letting it go. "Why are you still here?" He asks, irritable. Eyes still closed, -Arent you supposed to be killing me." He thinks opening one eye and glancing at the demon. He raises and eyebrow in question.

Sage grunted slightly and nodded, grumbling out a sort of thanks. He didn't care much....he'd probably regenerate....but he'd never been killed on the job before, and he didn't intend to start now. He scowled when the man asked why he was still here, and he rolled his eyes. "I don't know, considering that your attitude is nothing the one you played at earlier," he sort of snapped back. He really wasn't sure why he was still there, in all truth. The guy was rather pissy, in his opinion. But he'd also protected him, which was odd. Maybe he just had that instinct, since he was a decent size up from sage. He didn't know, and now he was wondering why he even cared.
