Sage was sitting in a chair of the queen's quarters, listening to the coronation music swirl through the air. Normally, it would be a happy occasion for most of the town, but for him it just meant a new master who got to boss him around. Which definitely made him nervous. He didn't know the new queen, and he didn't know how he'd be treated by her. Which was definitely scary.

The whole coronation to Ella had been a complete nightmare, and she hated every second of it. The idea of being famous was enough, but the idea of being famous AND having to boss others around was even worse. She stood by the doors, picking at her dress, her expression numb. The fake smiles and greetings to others had worn off, and only left her stripped of whatever happiness she had woken up with, left to stand there and hiss replies at whoever spoke to her. Her hair had been tied up in some confusing way for hours, and she had only just been able to tear the various hairbands and clips out, leaving it down as she enjoyed. She was beginning to get bored of waiting to be shown around, waiting to be told pointless information, and te picking at her dress had slowly turned into tapping the wall in distress.

Eventually, sage heard the music die down and turned to the door when he heard it open. One of the wise dudes that advised the queen strolled in and tossed an elaborate outfit at him, snapping "put that on and present yourself well." He sighed and slipped into the bathroom to change into the thin fabric that really left little to the imagination. But, it was good looking he supposed. He just was really uncomfortable wearing it. But it went along with the golden dangle teardrop earring and then choker like necklace that mimicked the drop of the earring that showed him to be the prince cohort. Soon enough, though, he was getting dragged along with the advisors to greet the new queen

Ella's head snapped up as a couple people walked towards them, and she shyed away slightly at the person next to her gently slapping her hand away from tapping the wall. She stood herself up straight and placed both her hands in front of her as they neared him, raising her eyebrows at the sight of the guy next to who she assumed was the advisor. She didnt know who she expected but it definitely wasnt..him. Thats if she had gotten the right person. She took a small step back as they finally reached her, looking the guy up and down openly, her expression neutral.

Sage sort of lowered his gaze, as expected, as they neared the new queen. The older man who still had a firm grip on his wrist bowed stiffly to her, probably because of his ancient joints, and introduced himself as the lead advisor for whatever group aided the queen in her....decision making, he supposed. He wasn't really sure. He was locked in a room all day long. The advisor stopped talking about himself finally though, and offered the new queen a tour. No doubt he was going to pull sage along with him along the way

Ella accepted the tour with yet another fake smile, though it was very clear that her expression said she really didnt want to be there at all, let alone have to walk around a massive palace and pretend to be friendly. She kept her distance from the guy stood next to the advisor, looking him up and down every chance she got. She was yet to decide whether she liked the look of him or not, and as of right then, it was leaning more towards a no. He seemed just as bored as her, and unhappy but also..something else. To Ella, something seemed off. As they started on the tour, she made sure to hang back slightly away from the guy, twirling her long hair around her finger nervously.

Sage sort of just unwillingly went along with the advisors as he pretty much just boasted about the palace. They'd made the long, scenic route, and by the time they were halfway through, he was already exhausted and trying to regulate his breathing. He really wasn't the healthiest person, he supposed, given his current lifestyle. Soon enough though, they'd made their loop around the place and ended at the queen's chamber, where he was sort of shoved in the direction of the corner he stayed in when he wasn't being...used while the advisor told the queen about all the room furnishings. He'd included him in with the things like the warm water and such, which admittedly brought an embarrassed flush to his cheeks, but hopefully his hair hid that since he was still just staring at the ground uncomfortably. He could feel the queen's gaze on him, and he wasn't so sure he was very happy about that. Especially since these clothes weren't exactly modest. Not that his whole life was exactly modest....but still.
