After looking in the mirror and fixing her hair, again, Lydia put on her make-up. It was a simple style, but effective. Very effective. The simplicity of it, made it look like she had naturally red lip, naturally glossy skin, and a natural slight blush.

Her bleached blonde hair was styled in a way that made it almost all of it go to her right side (pic 4). It took almost an hour to do that hair, as Lydia's hair wasn't naturally wavy, she had to do it all herself.

Her white crop top made her whole look, look complete. She had a jean jacket on with ripped jeans on the bottom, and it made her look amazing. The holes were larger than most, going from just above her knee to halfway down her calf.

A doberman sat on her bed, waiting for Lydia to be finished so that she could walk him.

Sage was just swimming quietly through the kelp beds near the cave he normally lived in. He had needed some space away from the village, and the kelp forests were somewhere he could actually hear himself think. There werent many mermen normally in the village...they were only kept as a king, prince, or as guards. He himself was just a guard, not related to rpyalty at all. Hed just been one of the lucky (or not so lucky, depending on how he looked at it) few whod gotten to stay with his mothers clan. But it was still busy, and he liked to be down here, where it was nice and cool and quiet. The water levels had been lowering though, and as he drifted along silently, he glanced upwards, where he could see the sun peeking through the water. He hoped it didnt go down too much more...he really enjoyed this place, and didnt want it ruined by the sun or heat that came from it.

After spending 30 minutes in front of the mirror, she decided to go to the kelp covered branch off of the ocean. There wasn't usually anyone who could tell her that Duke wasn't allowed on the beach.

When she arrived, Duke went running to the water and jumped in making a huge splash.

Sage had continued to swim peacefully until there was a large splash and a dog bargin into the water. He hissed in surprise and darted to the side, though there were rocks there so he had to dart to the other side in order to turn around and raise hismelf out of the water, fangs and claws extended as he hissed viciously at the creature. He wasn't sure why it was there, or what it was doing, but it had startled him, and he probably brought a human with him. Which definitely wasn't good. The only issue was...he was pretty much beached now....the water wasn't quite deep enough for him to move his tail enough to swim away. And, the dog was between him and the open ocean.

Duke barked when he saw the strange creature.

"Duke! Hush!" Lydia told her dog, who continued barking, "what is it? It better be good! I was in the middle of taking another selfie!" Lydia was clearly annoyed that her doberman had disrupted her photo taking ritual. But, she gasped when she was what looked like a shark in the water. Lydia of course, pulled out her phone and started streaming. "Duke started barking and look what's in the water! Duke get out!" She told her streamers, and Duke who was swimming toward the creature, "does anyone know what type of creature this is?" She then ended the stream letting people comment what they thought it was.

Sage was rather annoyed when he noticed the girl point the phone at him. He hadn't wanted that to happen. But whatever...he was far enough away from the village he supposed. They'd be alright. It was him who needed to get back to the open ocean, especially as the tide was going out. He lashed out at the dog as it neared him, his anger at first giving way to slight panic as well, now that he really was going to be stranded on the beach. With a dog who was obviously looking for a fight of some kind. And a girl. But most importantly...the sun. He was very sensitive to the heat, and burned easily. He could already feel himself overheating. He was a deep sea creature, not used to heat or light.

At Lydia's stern command Duke turned his head and growled at the strange creature before swimming away.

Lydia screeched when her stream had gotten 1 million views in a few minutes. It had gone viral! How exiting!

After Duke walked over to her side, she walked off toward the end of the beach, happy that she had gone viral, and Duke was still growling, knowing that something was wrong with that creature.

Sage had taken his chance when the dog left, and plowed back into the water as quickly as he could, though the tide had gone out quite a bit by then, and it took quite a bit of effort to haul himself down to the area where the water was deeper. He was almost back to the water when he heard other footsteps, and turned with a furious hiss, but the water wasn't deep enough for him to be very mobile, so all he could to was hiss and screech and thrash his tail when he felt a net go around him. He only hit one or two people with his tail...though he definitely broke something on both of them...before the net had immobilized him cpreety much completely. He was panting by then, terrified but also just...hot. His vision was getting fuzzy, and a burst of panic his hit chest when he noticed they were dragging him away from the water. He wriggled around again, but a blow to the head from one of the men holding the net stopped it. He just didn't have the energy anymore, and his brain was muddled with heat. He could feel burns forming an his skin too, which weren't likely to get better or go away if he was kept out of the water for long.

Lydia had adimatically went home, and was glad that she had left the beach in time for two men to come. She knew that she could sweet talk all the police officers, but really, she didn't feel like it right now.
