Eventually after wandering around like a lost puppy Kennedy finally found Geoffrey. "Nice to see you again" Geoffrey said while holding a hand out for a hand shake which Kennedy accepted and gave him a firm handshake "Same to you sir... So what do you want me to get started on?" He asked already not wanting to mess around but instead was ready to work. Geoffrey chuckled at his eagerness to get ready "Slow your roll there, first I'm going to show you around a bit then I wil give you your first assignment. You understand?" He said and Kennedy let out a slow breathe before replying "Understood..." Was all he said which Geoffrey nodded then began to walk around the palace at first showing him the important rooms that he would have to go to do find certain people or certain things, after about 45 minutes of talking about the inside which was a confusing maze they moved on back outside. Geoffrey lead Kennedy around the outside of the palace starting from the front and circling to the back showing him every plant, flower, and tree they had and how they trimmed it and kept it alive. Finally they ended at a apple tree that was surronded by rosebushes "Finally the tours over and it's time to get to work. First you are going to trim the hedges here and then after that you are going to go plant some Iris around the trees over there" Geoffrey said while pointing to a line of trees, "Got it" Kennedy replied with a firm nod which Geoffrey returned before walking off and disappearing. Kennedy watched as he walked off and let out a small sigh "Man this place is confusing..." He said out loud to himself before heading off to the shed for supplies

She snapped her book closed with an audible thud. "It can be." She called after him, still hidden in her nook. She figured she might as well mess around with the serious looking man. She peered through the branches to get a better look at him. Yep, he was definitely Alice's type. Except for the whole frosted tips thing- which she didn't mind at all, really. "It's not so confusing when someone without gray hair is showing you around." She chuckled, stowing her book and satchel for later. She leapt out of the tree gracefully and brushed herself off when she hit the ground, flashing him an impressive smile. She had an aura of being well-kept that usually reeked off the rich, but it was toned down by the dust spread across her clothes. She could pass for a noble servant, but she was quite sure he couldn't link tigether that she was the princess. After all, only the staff called her Mercy. "I'm Mercy. It's nice to meet you." She held her hand out to him in a welcoming way, waiting for a handshake.

Kennedy sighed once more when he was about to take off to the shed he stopped in his tracks hearing a loud thud then a voice above him. He looked up into the apple tree trying to figure out where the voice had come from but couldn't see anybody so he quickly looked around his surrondings, again just to see nobody "What the-" Kennedy mumbled quietly to himself before snapping his head back around to the tree hearing a louder thud, he admittedly was surprised to see a girl standing before him. He examined her with his usual cold gaze without saying anything, she seemed fairly put together and held herself up with a proper posture. She almost seemed like she could be royalty but her being covered in dust added with the fact she was wearing pants instead of a poofy ball gown really didn't make sense but if anything she probably did have a wealthy family. After a moment of examining her Kennedy listened to her speak, he tipped his head slightly in a greeting type way while also eyeing her out reached hand. "I'm Kennedy... Nice to meet you as well.." He said slowly before bringing his gaze back up to her face. Kennedy paused for a moment before finally reaching his hand out giving hers a firm handshake.

"No need to be so weary, I don't usually bite." She smiled, shaking his hand with her own firm grip. "Kennedy. How formal. Well, what do you think of," she gestured to the grounds and castle. "All this? And do give me your honest opinion, I can't stand another person who spouts on and on about how wonderful this magical castle is." She rolled her eyes and took a step forward to walk with him toward the shed. She surveyed him while she waited for a response. This man seemed very... 'Think before you speak or don't speak at all.' Then again, first impressions could be misleading. She knew one thing, he was attractive, she couldn't deny him that, so Alice would be quite happy. She flicked her hair over her shoulder and thought about just how stupid she was to let Alice convince her to do this. She really had to learn to say no...

Kennedy huffed quietly at Mercys first comment, he took his hand away and put it down by his side about to make a comment but quickly bit his tongue so he wouldn't. He then listened to the girl speak once again she was very well spoken. At the end of her question he began to walk slowly to the shed so he had time to answer, he had a huge opinion on this castle some good some bad which he was going to voice but couldn't help but the get the feeling this was a trap to see what he had to say about the royals. Kennedy thought for a long while before glancing over at the girl "Well it certiantly is... It's something alright... On the outside it looks very nice with all the gardening, lights, and the structure of the outside makes it look amazing... And the inside it's well..." He paused for a moment trying to find a godo thing to say about it but really couldn't so he gave into the negative thoughts "I mean it's a very beautiful decoration inside but it feels like a maze in there. There's so many doors to get to rooms inside of other rooms and then the halls are so long and endless. Lastly the plants in there look half dead from the places they are put which is just horrible to me..." Kennedy spoke firmly with a sting of annoyance resting in his voice, when he finally stopped speaking he glanced down at the ground -crap I probably messed up...- He thought to himself with a sour look

She listemed to him amd gave a sigh of relief. "For a second there I thought you were about to lie to me. I completely agree. I mean, who needs 512 rooms for a family of four? Er- three. I swear, half the portraits in there should be maps instead of stupid bowls of fruit. I've never really been much into gardening, but I suppose anything would wilt if it were stuck in there for an extended amount of time." She huffed sourly. She watched him lower his gaze remorsefully. "You know, I like you. I think we'll be quite good friends, I like people who give me their honest opinion. Anyway, you seem just a bit lost. Is there anything I can help you with?"

Kennedy brought his gaze back up to Mercy as she spoke, a tiny smile of relief crept onto his face. "Exactly I mean no offense to the royals but they really have some weird taste in architecture. I mean there could be so much more better ideas for how that was built and yes they will wilt after a while but honestly they should still at least be good if their cared for. Those plants are no where near being cared for everyday" He preached his opinions once more. He kind of pondered a bit about why she messed up the number of peopel there but quickly realized that the young prince had died -Guess she still hasn't gotten over that..- He thought starting to feel a bit bad for her since she seemed to have worked there for a long time, she msut have been close to the prince. At Mercys last comment he finally allowed the tiny smile grow wider to the point it was noticable, his face also grew more soft and gentle looking "Well you can expect a lot more honest opinions from me whether harsh or good... Um honestly right now it's just trying to remember my way from the shed to the places I need to be in the garden" Kennedy stated a bit embarrased by the fact he needed help

She perked up. "See, I knew you could smile." Mercy chirped happily. "Well, all you have to do is ask and I'll take you right to it! I'm somewhat of an expert on this place, after all." She grinned at him. She was really starting to like this man. She plucked a few berries off of a strawberry bush as they passed one, tossing one at him. "Heads up!" She smiled and took a bite of the one she had in her hand.

Kennedy rolled his eyes at the girls happy chirp, he usually didn't get relaxed quickly with someone before so to him it was a bit odd why he smiled so fast. "Thanks... I might have to pester you a few times then until I get the hang of navigating around here" He said while scrunching up his nose slightly still not liking the idea of having to ask for help. When she shouted he looked over just in time to see a strawberry being tossed at him, he quickly caught it with his hands being careful not to squish it before looking it over and taking a bite of it "Aww thanks, how'd you know I was craving a snack?" He joked with another slight smile, his dark grey eyes twinkling with amusement

Mercy shrugged. "I have a knack for knowing what people want and when they want it." She said sarcastically, giving him a wink before broaching the next subject. "The shed should have everything you need. I believe Geoffrey wanted you to trim those hedges," She gestured off at some part of the garden. "I can guide you there. And the irises are around the back of the shed, I can show you the trees he wants them by." She tossed the top of her strawberry into a compost bin a few meters from the shed and licked her lips of the red liquid. She leaned up against the wall of the shed. "Grab whatever trimming things you need, I suppose." She smiled at him.
