Kennedy woke up early that morning with a groan not wanting to get up. She started her new job at the NYPD so relunctantly she forced herself up and out of bed. Kennedy threw on her regular clothes which consisted of black bootcut jeans, a blouse, and black boots. She made her way into her dining room of her small apartment and grabbed her badge along with her holster, she didn't have a gun yet but she appearently would be getting it today... Hopefully she would be. Kennedy finally headed out her door and went to a coffee shop right below her apartment building to get a cup before hopping in her jeep and heading off to work

Caden pulled up as so as his chief pulled in,Caden sighed but walks in with him as they talked about the new person and who he was planning on having her team up with Caden rolls his eyes before headed to his desk sat his stuff down before going through paper that was on the desk before Matt who was sitting beside him said " did you hear you might get the new person " Caden sighed and said " oh please no I like working by myself it is way easier " matt laughs and said " I understand that but sometimes you need a partner man" Caden said " where the fun in that " Matt chuckles and shakes his head before looking back at his work and Caden paid attention to his as he waited to see the new person

Kennedy pulled up to the station she felt a bit light headed from nerves since she basically waited her whole life for a moment like this and it was finally here. She took a deep breathe stepping into the station and scanned the room with a cold gaze, when she was approached by the cheif she immediately ligthened up and walked with him into his office where he explained a few ground rules then told her who she was getting assigned to work with -Ugh great... this man better not be a prick- She grumbled in her thoughts. Kennedy continued to listen to the cheif as he issued her a hand gun which she put in her holster then followed him out to the main room where he approached a man. She examined him up and down before the chief spoke "Caden here is our newest recruit, Kennedy, she will be assigned to work with you for a couple cases until she learns the ropes" He spoke firmly to him

Caden was looking at a murder that gone wrong a beautiful young woman who go in to the bad side of town before he his chief speak and Caden looks up and said " alright as long as she doesn't stay as my partner for to long " was supposed to be a joke but he really didn't say it as once but Caden said " nice to meet you Kennedy let's get down to our work " before he looks away and back at his desk the hold the murder book and her file also on a side of his desk was his mother Cindy Anderson murder book but he was going to let anyone look at it Caden said " we got a new case that just came in a few minutes ago we should get going before it to late "

Kennedy kind of scrunched up her nose at Cadens first comment already getting a bad first impression. The chief nodded and left them to their work walking away. She took a few steps closer "Nice to meet you too Caden" Kennedy said while observing the file in his hand, her eyes flicked over to the next file on his desk wondering if that was a cold case since the file looked old. Kennedys attention went right back to Caden as he spoke "Alright, lead the way" She said

Caden got up grabs his keys and said " since we are going to be partners we can take my car " as he sighed he really didn't like having people in his car but it was the only thing he like driving as he walks towards the front door and looks at her and said " one thing about a crime seen don't touch anything with out gloves or you finger prints will be found on it " as he sighed before walking on he really didn't understand why he was partnering up with her at all, as he made his was to his Suv he made sure he had everything

Kennedy nodded as she followed Caden, she wasn't very fond of the idea of someone she barely knew driving but for now she would just have to suck it up. Kennedy grabbed her coffee and keys not wanting to leave them behind at the office when he spoke to her again she looked up at him "I know that, I'd be an idiot if I didn't. Also you take a photo of the evidence and where it was before picking it up too" Kennedy stated firmly while continuing to follow Caden out to a black Suv

Caden unlocked his car before getting in and started it up as he waited for her to get in and said " good think you know that but usely there is somebody who does the pictures for you that way you don't have to do it " as he sighed and started driving he was always tense when it can to another murder that he might not be about to solve but then he might since he had somebody to help him. Caden drives along and pulled into a alleyway where other cops was waiting for them

Kennedy waited for him to unlock the Suv and as soon as he did she opened the door and hopped in. "Oh okay, that makes sense" She replied to what he said. Kennedy was a bit excited to work the case, she had seen a lot of murders or at least dead bodies when she was running around when she was younger so stuff like this wasn't going to faze her. Her only worry was making the wrong decision and getting a back rep on the first case but hopefully that wouldn't happen. When the Suv came to a stop in the alleyway she hopped out of the vechile and waited for Caden

Caden sighed and got out before looking at the site and sighed as he walks towards them and said " what do we got here " cop said " seems like a date when bad but to bad for her she is in her late 20s or 30s no id or none that we found yet she was dumped into a dumpster " Caden nods and walks into the crime scene as he puts gloves on and hands Kennedy a pair to put on then said " look around for clues of how she died or if you find her id let me know "as he walks to the dumpster and looks in and said " poor girl " as he then looks around
