Andi glanced back at the board watching everything appear on it. She wrote a few things down to remember, but not everthing since she already knew a lot about Algebra so she didn't bother to get all the information. ~ She scoffed queitly at what Skylar said "She'll learn real soon that she isn't if she even dares try that bullshit with me" She mumbled more quiet in case the girl was listening |

Skylar chuckled as he wrote down all the notes that the teacher were putting up. " Well, you do that. Just know if you ever plan on talking to me she will be there. She thinks we're dating because of a party I went to last summer when we were...what? Barely freshmen I think? Anyways, she's a brat but if you don't look her way she'll probably leave you be. Probably. Your new, so there's no telling." |

Andi was already starting to get bored by what was being put on the board since it was all too simple for her -I thought dad said this school was going to be more challenging- She thought to herself ~ "Huh okay... Hopefuly she leaves me alone" She replied. She didn't really take in the first few sentences he spoke since she really didn't plan on talking or making friends with anybody this school year. She just wanted to cruise by unnoticed which she would be happy and content with that plan |

Mr. Fennel was still droning on about equations and the importance of...whatever that was that was important, when Skylar noticed the look in his eyes when he turned around from the board. His eyes immediately found Skylar, and the boy grumbled, already expecting the inevitable. "Skylar, why don't you come work out this problem?" He asked encouragingly, and at this point Skylar was sure that the man hated him or he'd done something terrible in his past life. " Don't worry about it, man. We'll find you a tutor one day." And that was Bratt, the stuck-up nerdy buff dude that'd transferred a couple weeks earlier than Andi did. Skylar forced a smile on his face as the boy patted his shoulder, lumbering up to the SMARTBOARD less than enthusiastically. "I don't know why he insists on calling on Skye every time. The dude knows he's no good at math, let alone whatever this shit is." A girl from the back of the class hissed, her arms crossed." This is just cruel at this point." And that girl was right. Because no matter how hard Skylar tried, the numbers just wouldn't stay still for him. And he's pretty sure that 3 was a 2 just a second ago and— fuck...he has to start over again now. |

Andi was just scribbling in her journal by now when she looked up hearing Mr. Fennel call on Skylar. She looked over at the boy as he grumbled and stood up going to the front of the room. The equation on the board was fairly hard but he seemed smart enought to get it done... right? ~ She glanced at another boy that spoke, he seemed cocky which already brought sour thoughts to Andis mind. She never understood why people couldn't just keep their mouths shut instead of announcing peoples struggles out loud. Her attention turned to a girl that hissed something out in the back -so this has been going on for awhile now...- she thought to herself before looking back up front at Skylar ~ He seemed lost on the board his hand get moving all over the place of if tracking things. Andi tilted her head as she watched the weird movements before raising her hand "Excuse me my I offer Skylar some help?" She asked Mr. Fennel not really caring to wait for his answer as she stood up from her desk |

Skylar looked back at hearing Andi's voice, smiling sheepishly at the girl as she walked up to the board where he was." How coincidental, your first day here and I'm already embarrassing myself." He turned back to the board, letting out a sigh." I keep switching letters a numbers around like clockwork. This is useless, I've never been good at this stuff." |

Andi walked up beside Skylar already solving starting to solve the equation in her head before looking up at him -oh my he's tall- She thought to herself "Embarrassing yourself? I don't think your doing that" She stated softly before looking back at the board "It's okay a lot of people aren't good at this. Just take a deep breathe and forget whatever you had figured out before because it's probably wrong" Andi stated while starting to underline some of the equation on the board "Now just focus on a small part at a time... What should you do first?" She asked glancing up at him |

Skylar groaned, erasing what he'd done to rewrite the expression. He knew to distribute, he knew to do whatever it was that Mr. Fennel had drilled into his brain that he'd forgotten the name of, but actually finishing the sequence is when things got confusing. And here he was again. "Shoot...I'm lost again." He sighed. "Treat it like a difficult customer is asking for too much protein powder." The girl who'd spoken up from the back from earlier called out, giving Skylar a thumbs up when he turned to look back at her skeptically."Your scary good with numbers when you get in a heated debate about'em, Skye. So just think of a prissy old man or something." He snorted but nodded, turning back to the board while glancing at Andi." I don't think that'll work." He stage-whispered. The girl let out a shout of indignation, making him snicker. |

Andi was watching Skylar seeing that he was actually thinking it through before it looked like his brain just shut off "It's fine-" She was about to say something else when she got cut off by a girl calling out to Skylar ~ She just patiently waited for the girl to stop talking, it kind of bothered her that the girl couldn't just be silent for the few minutes it'd take to solve the problem but she kept her mouth shut. -How does that... This is horrible advice..- She thought to herself with a small huff not being able to wrap her head around how any of it made sense. ~ Andi shook her head whispering back "I don't think so either..." hearing the girl made Andi chuckle lightly but kept her focus on the board "Okay first you got to distribute since you want to get x by itself. So if 10 is positive you subtract it which cancels it out... then what you do to one side you mirror it to the otherside. Like this" She said while drawing out what she was saying on smartboard hoping he was takign in all the information |

Skylar watched intently, nodding along as he looked at the visual guides that Andi drew for references when he'd get confused." Oh..so that's where I messed up." He groaned." Thanks for the help." "And me too!" The girl shouted, making Skylar roll his eyes." Yes, Pixie, you've been a very fundamental stepping stone in the successful success of the survival of my knowledge. Are you happy now?" The girl mockingly sniffled." They grow up so fast." |
