Quinn heard the door open and immedietely stiffened. Then she glanced over and saw her friends cheeky face. She had mixed emotions... half -I don't need another thing to deal with now- and half -Oh it's Tyra how good to see her again- Quinn smiled slightly, her dark face brightening a little. - "Oh Tyra how nice it is too see you too!" Victoria exclaimed happily, giving the girl a hug. Victoria glanced around the room and nodded. "Yes I'm sure Quinn missed a couple hundred boxes... at this point I'm wondering if she is even my daughter." Victoria joked, laughing. - At Tyra's voice Quinn looked annoyed, then happy... then annoyed again. She listened to what her mother said and sighed. "No, I don't have many belongings. Sometimes I wonder the same thing." Quinn snorted

Tyra tutted, shaking her head." We'll have to fix that. Luckily for you, I have a whole bunch of discounts at all the places you probably need to go to. Especially for the sink." She gestured to the kitchen sink, as if it weren't obvious. " Rain has been wanting to fix that thing for months now, ever since it caused a leaking problem last winter." She said casually then went off to another part of the house, inspecting it all and giving a disgusted look at all the dust she found on the walls. Once done with her impromptu inspection she returned to where Quinn and Victoria stood. " I'm starting to realize you have no clue who Rain is, and therefore, that will not do." She snickers, poking Quinn's cheek." He's an absolute beefcake, the resident handyman, and he's definitely your type. Assuming your type is dude who look like they could benchpress sumo wrestlers." She giggles again, then tugs on the girls arm. "C'mon! This place is so stuffy and boring! We can finish this later." She huffs at how heavy the girl is, pouting before grinning again, her sly eyes turning to Victoria." Miss Carter, we haven't went out to eat together in such a long time. Wouldn't it be a good idea to take a break and go look around for now?" Edited at May 13, 2023 02:21 PM by Nebula Stables

-Oh no- Was Quinn's first thought. The house wasn't that bad... Quinn's eyes slowly followed Tyra as she pointed out everything. Like, everything from the speck of dust to the leaky sink. "Who-" Quinn stopped, shaking her head. As Tyra shot off and started explaining this 'Rain' guy, then pointed at Quinn's cheek... Quinn snorted. "Excuse me, talk box. Stop your chattering for a moment." Quinn commanded. "For one I just moved in, and I can fix the sink myself. I haven't had the chance to clean yet. For two no I don't know who 'Rain' is, thanks. For three he sounds like the kind of guy that would be super stuck up and therefore I would hate him. For four this place is stuffy and boring... but the woods is not. Ima just leave, then." Quinn finished, starting to sidle off. Then glanced down at Tyra's grip on her arm. Quinn opened her mouth to protest and closed it with a huff as Victoria started speaking. - "Oh yes, I would just love to go out to eat. Great idea, Tyra. And please, call me Victoria." Victoria beamed, glancing at Quinn. "Let's go, darling." She smiled, starting to walk out - DARLING!? Really? Quinn's eyes grew stormy as she glared at Tyra. -Thanks- she mouthed, a sarcastic glint in her steel hard emerald eyes.

'Your welcome' Tyra mouthed back, winking before turning to Victoria." Your going to love this one place! I can't remember if it was Quinn or her dad that used to love spicy food-" she paused, blinking." Or wait...was it Chinese...?" She scrunched her eyebrows as she thought, before shrugging." Either way I think both of you will love it." She cheered as she led the two down a sidewalk that led towards a grassy pathway, deciding to be generous and atleast give Quinn something resembling the woods. Then she snorted. " You know I think you and Rain said the same exact thing about each other when I first told him you were moving down here." She giggled at something, continuing to walk on." Said you sounded like a stuck up brat and that he'd rather date a troll. And then came out here and wouldn't come back until I brought him his favorite steak."

Quinn frowned, stalking along. She glanced around the town, her emerald eyes hard and stormy with anger. Why did Tyra have to introduce her to a guy the FIRST day she got there? When Tyra started talking again Quinn half zoned her out until she said that she had told this random guy about Quinn. "You what? He said WHAT?" Quinn sounded furious. "Well you be prepared for him to get a load of fist when I see him..." Quinn seethed, clenching her fists. Her jaw muscles tightened and clenched as she glared around, obviously more angered by this thought. -Yeah you would rather date a troll because a troll wouldn't beat the beans out of ya- Quinn thought with a grimace.

"Quinn, sweetheart, darling." Tyra began as the path they took brought them out at another sidewalk adjacent to a busy street." I just might have to fight you if you do actually punch him. He's got more to deal with than you being a sore butthole." She teased, showing off sharp teeth as she grinned at the girl. For a moment her pupils seemed to sharpen at the thought of getting in a fight before they quickly dilated again and she closed her mouth. "Anyways-" " Why do I always have to hear you talking about getting into fights?" Rain interrupted, startling Tyra who almost took off running before realizing who spoke. She took a deep breath before glaring at the male who grinned down at her with a wolffish smile. "Would you stop doing that!" She huffed.

"I would absolutely love it if you fought with me." Quinn grinned for a moment, then shook her head. "'But I am very mad at you at the moment." She growled, turning away, Quinn kept walking, reaching up to finger the long scar that stretched across her right cheek. Quinn stopped walking as she heard very.. extremely soft footsteps. A moment later she heard a male voice. -Oh please... but wow, how was he so quiet? I can usually hear most people stomping around long before they get that close- Quinn thought, turning slowly. Hm... must be that Rain guy. She studied him with a cold gaze before continuing to walk, not really caring where she was going... Quinn could see woods up ahead. Maybe she would just slip into them and disappear.

Tyra waved her hand, discarding Quinn's anger at her carelessly. Rain chuckled at the girl before noticing the two women and eying them over calculatingly until Tyra poked his cheek like she did with Quinn. He snapped his jaw at her, making her squeak and run behind him. He rolled his eyes, turning his attention back to the two, his eyes landing on Victoria first." Oh...your very pretty. How old are you, ma'am?" He asked, genuinely confused and mildly curious, while Tyra snorted from where she stood. However she quickly noticed Quinn trying to slip off and brought Rain's attention to her." That's Quinn! You know, the one you said looked like a troll." She said happily, too happy for what just came out of her mouth. Rain glared at her, before pinching the bridge of her nose." I said she sounded like she was a troll. You said she never goes outside, she's always yelling, and that she really needs to spread her wings more, whatever that means, and you expect me to say something...nice?" He then let go, raising an eyebrow as the girl rubbed at her sore nose. " Now that that's settled; Your Quinn. Who's the pretty lady?" He turned back to Victoria. Victoria glanced this new boy up and down, her motherly instincts kicking in. "Oh hello dear... please don't ask about my age, most women don't like conveying that information." She answered, mineswell teach him a quick lesson... --- Quinn stopped with a slight growl, turning back around. -Really Tyra... just making my life harder- She thought. "TYRA I am always outside, you should know better than that. Remember how you always said my favorite activity was to disappear into the trees and not come back till dark? I'm only always yelling because you are EXTREMELY annoying." Quinn snorted, looking annoyed and a little angry. She crossed her arms and looked at Tyra, who was almost hiding behind Rain. - "I'm Victoria Carter, but I would prefer if you called me Mrs. Carter." Vicotria answered - Quinn glanced at her mother. WOW Victoria really didn't like Rain. She was like a happy ball of bouncy energy that would answer any question and wnated everyone to call her Victoria.. but she already turned down Rain's question AND asked him to call her Mrs. Carter. -Heh, that's the first reason I found to even consider being friends with Rain- Quinn thought with slight amusement, her face quickly masking back over

Rain turned to Tyra, confused and shocked to see the girl fuming. Did he do something wrong? Was it not okay to point out women were pretty? That's what his mother said ladies liked, but maybe she was wrong. " I'll leave you alone then since I'm so annoying to be around." The girl replied, an odd smile on her face. She turned to Victoria with a frown though." Have a good day Miss Carter." And she turned back to Rain, who was even more confused than when he first got here. "Did...did I say something wrong?" He whispered to the girl, who just nodded silently. His eyes widened and he was about to quickly apologize before she snapped her finger, making him pause." They wouldn't understand. They never understand you. You were raised differently from them, Rain. Remember that."She reminded him quietly, patting the male's back as he looked down at her dejectedly. " Well, the restaurant is over that way but I'm guessing since your so social that you won't immediately just turn tail and hide in the woods like the little girl you'll always be. And since I'm annoying I guess I should just let you be and go hang out with people who actually like me."
"Hey, wait a minute-" Rain was panicking now, trying to calm the irrational girl down. It was fairly well known to anyone that met Tyra that she was overreactive, and often times got emotional over the littlest things. Being called annoying shouldn't have been that triggering. "Rain." She growled, the sound animalistic. The male obedient shut his mouth, following after her as they walked in a different direction. Edited at May 13, 2023 03:56 PM by Nebula Stables
