The carriage stopped in front of the castle and her nothing and father got out. A servant opened her door, and she stepped out into the light, blinking. The were inside the courtyard now, and more servants went to usher them inside the castle. Quinn frowned slightly at all the signs of wealth, knowing that's the only reason her parents were marrying her off to yet ANOTHER greedy prince. "There's hope Quinn... you still haven't met him." She thought, casting another glance around as they were shown into the thrown room.

Sage was out in the barn, grooming his horse, when the servant ran up, saying something about the fact that his future wife would be there soon. He rolled his eyes but nodded, and told the woman he'd be back at the castle soon. "Yes, yes, but you must look presentable," she fretted. He looked down at his tunic and trousers, which were covered in dirt and horse hair. He didn't really see an issue with it all, but he did know he'd be in a load of trouble if he didn't wash up. He gritted his teeth together and nodded reassuringly. "Don't worry, I'll clean up before I meet her," he told the lady, who sighed and wandered back off. As soon as she was gone, sage cursed and kicked the stall door, not exactly wanting to get married. His horse, chaos, looked over at him curiously. Sage sighed and patted his neck before quickly finishing the grooming and hurrying back to wash up and change. (It's all good lol) Edited at March 22, 2023 01:12 PM by NightClan

They stood in the Throne room, waiting for the King and Queen and the Prince to enter. "The prince... my future husband." Quinn tried not to let her face get sour. Anger boiled up inside of her. Yes her parents preened her and pampered her and she's hated it, but forcing her to marry some prince for that Kingdoms money? This was THE END of her life. She waited, slouching slightly. Her mother hissed, "Quinn you'd better look good, don't slouch, don't be sarcastic and act like a normal princess!" Her mother elbowed her before standing back up. Quinn winced and stood straight, taller than her mother already. She waited with her hands folded nicely.

Sage met his father near the doors to the throne room, where he was waiting for him. "Don't dissapointment me, if you can manage that," the older man all but growled, eyes scornfully running over his hastily thrown together outfit and messy hair, that refused to be tamed, no matter what he tried. Sage clenched his jaw, his small fangs pressing against the inside of his lips. He folded his hands behind his back, trying to keep his mouth shut so he didn't mess this up. He didn't much care if his future wife got mad...he just didn't want to anger his father. They entered the throne room, his father going to talk to the girls mother right away, with a formal greeting and all the rest. He huffed out a slight breath and fixed his eyes on the girl. His fiance. Ugh. She was pretty enough, he supposed, but that didn't mean he wanted to get married.

She saw the prince enter and didn't let her face show her surprise. His hair was unbrushed, his outfit looked... horrible to say the least. If that was her mothers kid he'd Be getting a whipping for not putting on a outfit that matched! She tossed her black hair and thought, "Horrible outfit... check. Unbrushed hair... check. This might actually be fun!" Her dark green eyes observed the boy. She tried not to cross her arms as she looked him up and down, but a small smile twitched at the corners of her lips. She was very mistaken when she thought he'd be a no good fancy boy. "I can't wait to meet him alone, now." She muttered, waiting for her mother and the king to finish their greetings.

Her mother, as the other king turned away, whirled and glared at Quinn. "You mutter one more thing and I'll slap you harder!" She growled, slapping Quinn across the cheek with a inaudible thwap. The only person that saw was the prince. Quinn's cheek very quickly turned red, and she scowled as her mothers turned away, reaching a gentle hand up to touch the inflamed area then flinching and quickly pulling it back down.

Her cheek stinging, Quinn thought about the agreements. "We have to stay here for one month before getting married... that's the law. We can't decide anything but our parents have already made it final so no matter how terrible I act, they can't go back on their word." She sighed silently. "At least I have one more month of freedom." She thought
