She sprinted off, her legs carring her far and fast. She had long, swift strides as she ran. She whinnied him as she ran. She liked him. - Suddenly she stops. Infront of her, is the leftover ruins from a burnt down ranch. She pins her ears, and the whites of her eyes show. She slowly steps back. Scared, bad memories flood her mind.

His pace slowed as they drew nearer the ruins, he smelled the lingering scents of fire before they drew close enough for the burned-out buildings to be seen through the scrub.
She had stopped suddenly, Raven having to make a quick turn before he ploughed into her, her hide quivered and her ears flattened. Body language could be powerful and he could see that whatever had happened here bothered her. This place held bad memories.
He touched her gently with his nose, a silent question in the action. Do you want to stay or go?

She looked to the stallion at her side. She shivered a little, then took a small step forwards. She could smell the faint sent of burnt flesh. She looked around her, then realized that this is the ranch she was born at. - She slowly walked towards the burnt ranch, stepping over half burnt fence posts. She whickered to the stallion, seeing if he was gonna follow.

With his ears erect and his hide twitching, he followed after her, tentatively placing each footstep lest he finds a patch still smouldering. He felt uneasy, fire was something that struck fear into the hearts of most equines. The scent of smoke was enough to make him uneasy without its evidence so clearly strewn about and to top it all off, it seemed to be affecting his companion more severely than it was him. - She wanted him to see something here, she had a connection. So he followed after her carefully. Watching for any signs of fresh danger and being careful to avoid sharp edges that might cut or displace wires that might entangle. - It was quiet. So quiet. Even the small creatures had abandoned this place, there was no feed left for them. They would return in time but the silence told of just how recent this blaze had been.

She stopped at a mostly burnt down paddock. There, laying in the paddock was the carcass of a horse. Eclipse hesitated before walking up to it. - The remains of it had been picked clean by wolves, along with all the other horses that where here. Her knees started to shake, then buckled under her. She was about 3 feet away from the horse carcass. She put her head down and lay there, looking at the carcass for a moment. - She closed her eyes for a moment, then looked to the stallion.

As they approached the carcass, Raven Snorted. The evidence of wolves made him uneasy. They had been known to prey on the weak members of a herd as well as scavage remains like these. It was a smart horse that was wary around a wolf.
He drew nearer cautiously, reaching his nose out to her as she collapsed at the sight. He knickered to her. You must get up He turned his head to look from side to side, his ears tall as he listened for any sign of the predators. We shouldn't linger long
The wolves might still be around. There was still meat on this kill. He lowered his head to her again. I'm sorry...

She slowly drew her legs back under her. She stood there for a moment before turning around. I-I... she stuttered a little before nickering, I know this place... - She walked up to him and touched her nose to him. Let's go, . Eclipse trotted out of there quickly. She waited just outside for the stallion. She wasn't sure what he was gonna say, so she kept her head low.

He was glad to be free of that place, the smell of death hung about it like a cloak of sadness and his instincts screamed danger from the proximity of the dead. He never would have come here if she hadn't had lead him here so he turned his head toward her and asked,
Why did you take me here?
She clearly wanted to get something off her chest. He fell into an easy, familiar step beside her. Though they had only just met he wanted to be supportive and understanding. She had some demons to rid herself of, so he would listen and then see where the winds took him.

Its my old home. I was born there, then it lit on fire one night and the whole place was ablaze. My mother told me to run, and don't look back. She was trapped. Th-that Horse was my mother... She nickered quietly. She looked up to him. She felt safe with him around, not wanting him to leave. (sorry it's short. I'm busy currently. I'll be on around 9-9:30pm gametime if you wanna role then))

It looked like it was a nice place to grow up. I'm sorry you lost it, and your mother. Silence hung between them for a moment as Raven lent her what comfort he had to offer.
I left my dam when I was a year old, the humans separated us and put me to run with a bunch of other yearling colts. I guess we must all take flight from the comfort of our parents one day.
Raven's head turned away from the smouldering ruins, looking out to the forests, fields and mountains beyond.
There is much to explore out there, many wonderous things, warm sunny meadows, creatures that do amazing things, and new friends. Will you come with me? Perhaps we can find another place just as lovely where your foals can grow up.
