Anna stood for a moment and then sat beside him, "I understand why you didn't trust me." She paused and nodded silently nodded. Yes,he trusts me now, at least I think. She watched the young crane fly away and she cast a glance at Sage. She wanted to learn his personailty.

Sage glanced over at the girl and then shrugged. "Well, you'd be crazy if you trusted a stranger in this area," he mused. "You'd best watch your back," he suggested. "If you can't fight I'd suggest finding someone who can do you don't get picked up off the streets and used or killed the second you walk into town."

Anna smirked, He thinks I'm scared of this town, well I show him. "I can take care of myself." She pulled her knife from her sheath and let the sun bounce off of it. Smiling a little, she turned it this way and that way.

Sage glanced over at the girl and shrugged. "Good luck then," he hummed. Though, a sparkly weapon tended to give you away...but if it worked for this girl he wasn't going to argue. "You know how to use that or is it just a fancy thing," he hummed. "Cause it looks awfully shiny." His own dagger was duller...but just as sharp and deadly as the girls weapon could be. Anna was silently staring at the knife, she noted that it still had a little dried blood on it. I'm not scared, although I'm still scared a werewolf might kill me.... True it could easily kill me... I'll be fine, I can run pretty fast. She silently shoved the knife back into it's sheath and said nothing more.

Sage raised an eyebrow when the girl stayed silent, not really sure how to take that. "Well...if you don't know, I'd be happy to teach you. If you do know, then good," he hummed. He was silent for a while before sighing and looking over at the girl. "If you need a place to stay, I work at the tavern a few minutes away. I can get you a room for free, but only if I can crash in there at night. On the chair. You can have the bed I don't care ...I just want to get paid and not actually be forced to sleep with a customer," he told the girl, hoping she'd say yes.

Anna glanced at Sage, "Sure...Yes..." Anna looked away across the lake, " And I already know how to use the knife." She sighed and shook her head. Why is he being so nice? Does he think I'm foolish or something? Anna scoweled and watched a fish moving below the surface. She thought about how it really wasn't under the surface, it was much deeper than that. Sage hummed in response to the girls comment and nodded slightly. "I figured. You survived this far," he pointed out. He was a bit confused about the girl, and he certainly didn't trust her completely, but she wasn't going to attack him...she would have tried that rather than talking earlier.

Anna stayed quiet and stared off into the distance, bored. The silence rang heavily in her ears and she suddenly spoke, "Well, I'm used to sleeping in the woods, but I can handle a room for a bit. (Sorry it is such a short post, but I have to go to work. XD)

(it's all good lol) Sage shrugged at her comment. "You don't have to take a room, you know. Just...it's getting cold now, and it might be better to sleep in a warm place," he hummed. "But you do you."
