Sage wandered around through the back alleys of the city cautiously, fingering the hilt of his dagger. He kept and eye out for anything the moved - if it was an animal he could kill and eat it, and if it was a person he could steal food or something from them. Of course, if it was another person who roamed the streets, he might have to fight them, but he always enjoyed a good fight. The only thing was, he hadn't eaten for a while, and he wasn't sure he could win as easily as he usually did. He shrugged and slid through the shadows silently as his eyes moved about, searching for something he could use to eat or drink. He knew he needed to eat soon or any fights he got into he wouldn't be able to win. And if he lost, he was dead - even if he wasn't killed in the fight he wouldn't be fit enough to hunt or run after stealing something, which was just as deadly as a knife to the chest.

Ellie moved her way down the street of shops she was getting some food for the household. she bought bread, meats, eggs, fruit and vegetables. She finished shopping and started to head back to the house. she turned down an alley that somewhat lead to the back door of the large house. it was a long wake but she didnt mind it. she hummed softly to herself as she carried the bags of food, unaware that some people that roam the streets were following her planning to rob the small young woman.

Sage noticed a girl walking down the street and scowled, sliding deeper into the shadows where he knew he wouldn't be seen. She didn't look like she was hardened to the streets, and she carried no weapon, so he decided to slip behind her, grab something small, and leave without being seen. He grit his teeth and shook his head, willing himself to walk steady enough so he could pass by her without her noticing. He cursed under his breath at his lightheadedness and took a deep breath, waiting until she had passed him.

Sage slipped behind the girl and plucked an apple out of her bag before sliding back into the shadows. He sat down softly, not wanting to give away his position. Then he realized he should go into the woods to eat, so people didn't hear anything. He stood up again and took a deep breath, forcing himself to stay upright. So far, the girl hadn't noticed him, but he grunted when he turned to walk and he froze, waiting to see if she heard him. If she had heard him, he knew that staying still was the best way to hide. He didn't think she would try and fight him, but he could never assume anything.

she continued to walk away, making her way towards the door. she doesnt take the alleys during the day so she wasnt aware of what was on the path. she tripped over a board she fell skuffing her knees and hands on the ground she dropped the bags to catch herself "ouch" she sat on the ground dusting some of the rocks from her wounds.

Sage spoke before his brain registered what he was doing. "You'd better watch yourself. If the wrong type see you do that again, you won't enjoy what happens next," he muttered. He mentally kicked himself for making his presence known, but he was fairly certain this girl posed no threat, even in his weakened state.
