Sage snorted, slightly amused by the girl's comment. He'd forgotten she was that smart somehow. Oh well, he wasn't going to do anything stupid with his dagger. But the girl was obviously unsteady so he sighed and set it down next to him, where he wasn't holding it but could reach it easily if someone got in. Hopefully it would calm the girl a bit. Anya seemed to be pretty keyed up though ...she was playing the role of mother again, not just to him but also to Luther and the queen. He made a slight face when he saw the queen, though he turned his head away and looked back at the door tiredly, making a visible effort not to laugh. It wasn't an overly funny situation, but it was ironic, and no doubt he still had some...recouperating to do before his brain would properly function.

Anya gave a slight nod to the boy when he set the knife down... it was admittedly a slight comfort to her. "Thank you," She murmured. There was so much she was worried about right then, and she didn't need one of them to be Sage offing himself right in front of her. He'd said he felt like he still had a job to do, but he wasn't in the right mind just yet. Not while he was giggling and laughing still. Luther was still standing ready at the door, and her mother had shifted ever so slightly so that she was sitting next to a window now that the space in the court was emptied. Anya did wonder for a moment what had happened to her father, along with a few of her cousins... but her father was king, so the guards most likely would have made it a priority to watch over him. Sage shifted slightly so he was kind of leaning against some cushions, since he was already getting tired from holding himself up. He knew the girl was worried, but if he'd planned on dying he would have taken Lizzie's hand and walked away a long time ago. But he wasn't going to worry about that now...his brain was still foggy and breathing was, admittedly, still hard. The doctor had put stuff on the wound, but it still hurt, though it would hurt much more later on. But for now he decided to close his eyes and rest while he could. He didn't want to sleep, but he could throw a knife from where he was resting if he really needed to. He hoped he wouldn't need to but it was always an option.

Anya watched as the boy sunk back into the cushions. Everything was quiet for a while... so the girl managed to relax, but just a little. After a short spout of time, Anya looked over to her mother, only to see her staring out the window. She didn't look at all worried, though, rather more... relieved. "Mother... what are you seeing?" Anya questioned to which the woman gave a small ish smile, briefly explaining that it looked as though people were backing off into the village again. That was a good thing, only there were still people left in the castle. Anya suspected that Sage's dad would be looking for him if he was here... which quite honestly scared her. She doubted that the mad would be dead... and she also doubted they'd survive another encounter with him. The girl turned back to Sage and spoke almost as though she was talking to an ill child, "Sage, do you thing your father will be here? Did you see him," the girl hummed quietly.

Sage opened his eyes and looked at Anya with a kind of thoughtful shrug. "I didn't see him, but I was mostly killing people in the castle. He might be here."He wrinkled his nose slightly. "I doubt he's here...he likes to let other people take the risk and get killed. If he's sober and even knows what's happening, he'll come sauntering in after the battles over and everyone else id dead." He struggled to sit up again, though he gave up after a moment, since he didn't have that amount of energy. "He's probably passed out at home somewhere," he murmured sleepily, curling up as well as he could on the couch.

Anya nodded, though it was with a slight sense of relief. As long as his father wasn't there, he couldn't take Sage away again, or hurt anyone else she cared about. Though, if the man wasn't here now, then the chances were that he'd show up eventually, so everyone would have to be on the lookout for a little while. If the man was anything like Sage, then he'd be able to get in and out without anyone noticing, whether that'd be through a window or climbing through the roof, no one would know if he was there, which really, really scared her. The girl just started nervously fiddling with the boy's hair again - at some point, it had turned into a type of coping mechanism, almost like a way to relax herself. Though, she did stop soon enough, deciding that the boy might actually find it annoying while he was trying to relax himself. She was silent for about half an hour before looking at Luther, who seemed a bit more at ease. There were no more footsteps running through the halls or yelling, or the sound of a heavy copse hitting the floor... it seemed like things had eased up a bit. "Do you want to check if things have cleared up? We can stay here," Anya whispered to the boy, who just gave a light nod and peered out the door before disappearing again.

Sage didn't really mind the girl's touch, though he also didn't really care when she stopped. She was still there, and he was pressed against her lightly anyway, so he got what comfort he generally had from the girl. He heard Luther leave, though he barely stirred at the noise from the boy's movement. He hoped that everything was done and over with....he really just wanted to go back to his room and sleep. He doubted Anya could stay, so he didn't want to ask her to stay if she couldn't. He was sure her mom would want to talk to her, and she'd want to talk to her mother and Luther most likely. The queen would be busy soon, though he wondered where the king had gotten off to. He felt a bit guilty about almost wishing the guy had been killed, but he really hated the guy - and he knew his relationship with Anya wasn't the best either. He didn't trust the guy any more than hr trusted his own father. AT least he knew his father well enough to guess at what he was going to do or how he was going to respond. He couldn't do that with the king, and quite honestly, he posed more danger to Sage than his father did.

It was so quiet for a little while... well, it was mostly the anticipation of whether or not Luther would end up coming back. He could have been jumped, or in a fight, or maybe even picking up some of the royal family on the way. After all, he had said that he'd gotten some of them to safety. Maybe that would include her father and some of her cousins. The girl didn't particularly like any of them, but it definately didn't mean she wanted them dead. They were all family, and she wasn't one to wish death apon her realitives. But Luther soon returned along with a couple of his men still standing. He had a slight smile, though there was a type of sadness behind it. "Everyone is alright," he murmured before his smile faded a little, "well, nearly everyone. The little girl... Charlotte, I think, is with the doctor. He doesn't think she's handling too well." He bit the inside of his cheek before looking to Anya. "Coast is all clear if you want to go somewhere less... bloody," Luther offered as he nodded towards Sage. Anya hummed a reply before lightly patting the boys shoulder. "You want to go back to your room or to the doctors?"

Sage thought for a minute....he liked Charlotte, a lot, and he didn't want to lose the girl, she reminded him to much of Lizzie. He wanted to see how she was doing, but also wasn't sure what her parents wanted, if they'd rather be alone with their daughter, or if they were there. Eventually he shrugged it off and sighed. "I'd probably feel better at the doctors so I can make sure Charlottes alright," he finally decided. Anya would understand, and he did want to help in some way. But he'd really just feel better being able to see the girl, and not wondering what had become of her. He'd formed a pretty good relationship with the kid. (What if sage being there kinda helps Charlotte survive? Like she sees him pushing through it so she makes the stubborn little kid decision to fight more? Lmk what you think lol)

(Yeah, I was trying to go there with that aha. Should have said something lol) The girl smiled ever so slightly at the boys decision. She knew that he was in a lot of pain, and that he'd probably be perfectly happy curled up in his own room, but the doctors would be good. It meant he could be seen to by the doctor and that he wouldn't be alone. Anya wasn't likely to visit the boy, but if he had someone to talk to, even if it was a child, them he wouldn't be likely to loose his mind. "Perfect. You think you can walk or do you need someone to give you a hand?" She could have one of the guards take him over... it'd be better that way, but if he insisted on walking she'd let him give it a go.
