Caden noticed the sun starting to set, the light fading as it trickled through the blinds. He sighed, sitting on the couch with Dmitri. Murphy, his dog of nine years, sat across, the great dane's ice blue eyes matching Caden's, looking down at the baby Caden held oh so delicatly in his arms.

"You ain't the brightest, but at this point I trust you more then I trust myself, dog." Caden said quietly, Murphy looking up at him. "Stay like that and life'll be just fine." He muttered under his breath, noticing Dmitri starting to drift off. He stood and brought his son to his crib, setting him down and walking for the door. "Rosa i'm going to go ride, i'll be back." Caden informs, taking Murphy with him.

Caden waved, walking out with Murphy. The dog trotted ahead, aiming towards the barn stalling Ricochet, or Rico. He followed Murphy into the barn, eyeing Ricochet and tacking the saddlebred gelding up. Caden led the gelding to the mounting block and hopped up, trotting off into the woods. The man felt bad for leaving Rosa behind with their twins and no help, but needed the smell of pine and cedar to drown out his mind. He didn't know what it was, but he'd been thinking, and most of the thoughts weren't on the well side.

Caden rode into the forest, the scene looking almost unreal. He'd gotten promoted to SR, or State Ranger. Bringing in almost 110 thousand dollars a year, only enough to survive in 2025's economy. He sighed at the thought, chuckling as Murphy tripped. Ricochet broke into a canter, Caden laughing lightly as Murphy followed behind closely.

Rosa gasps as Clara rolls over onto her belly all by herself. Rosa starts getting emotional. "You did it!" she says picking her up happily

"C'mon dog!" Caden called, Murphy running back to him. They walked until they were back at the cabin and Caden walked to the door, slipping Murphy inside before mounting Ricochet again and cantering off.
