Sage gave the doctor a grin, finding the whole situation pretty entertaining. The doctor just signed and grabbed a rag soaked with something...whatever he'd used before.. and pressed it to Sage's face. He wriggled around slightly, the back of his mind not willing to cooperate when he'd been used in the streets like this before. He knew he was trying to help, but it was just instinct. It was only for a moment, though, and in a few moments he passed out. The doctor nodded slightly and got to work, undoing the makeshift bandages and making clean cuts around the wound to take the bullets out cleanly, without causing anymore damage. He was focused on his task, tossing the jar with the bullets in it towards Anya so it was out of the way as he started stitching sage up. He probably knew sage had lost too much blood already, and was working quickly to keep him alive by then..sage was barely breathing towards the end of the procedure, his face ashen and his whole body just...limp.

Anya grimaced a little as she saw the bullets being pulled from the wounds, and it was even worse when the glass was slid over to her. She did end up looking away after a little while, a little ill feeling. Though, at some point, she had grabbed ahold of his hand - probably while the boy was struggling against whatever the rag was covered in. She knew it wouldn't make much of a difference to the boy, but she was trying, at least. It wasn't like she could do anything else for him, even if she wanted to. Soon enough, though, he was done. Or, she thought so. Sage was still limp, but the doctor was cleaning up already. "What are you doing," the girl whispered as she glanced back toward him. God, there was more blood than before... which meant Sage had to be in an even worse state than before. The doctor looked at the girl with a slightly raised brow. "Don't worry yourself," the man grunted and gave a slight smile. "Your friend will be just fine - it might just take a while," he shrugged before packing up again."

Sage would be asleep for quite some time, the doctor had made sure if that. He'd put something on the wounds this time too, after stitching them up, to numb the area a bit. That was good, considering it was bound to hurt like crazy once sage woke up. Sage himself could still feel a bit of the pain, even asleep, though he didn't really react to anything. For a while, he saw Lizzie again, though she didn't notice him. She was playing with some other girls kicking a ball around...and she faded after who knows how long. It hurt to see her go...staying away from her hurt worse than the bullet wounds, that was for certain. Though, it was a bit different kind of pain. Either way, sage had a feeling things were going to be rough for a while...not just for him, either. Though he did hope the girl would find some time to stay with him. He also hoped he could just go hide in the room he was using and not have to stay with the doctors other patients.

The girl had a quick conversation with the doctor before he left, tailed by two guards. If she was being completely honest, he wasn't overly helpful. Sure he stitched the boy up and stopped a lot of the bleeding, but that was it. He didn't say how long it'd be for him to come around again, or if she needed to do anything, or if he needed Sage taken to a ward, nothing. Just fixed him up, gave her a bit of whatever he'd put on Sage's wounds, and left. Well, she was at least thankful that the boy had been seen at all, especially when there were hundreds more guards that probably needed the doctor just as much as Sage did. The only reason he'd been seen to was that Anya had asked, and the queen seemed to back her up with that one request. It wasn't long before banging started up at the door again, which of course frightened the girl. Though, she made no effort to move. The door was locked, and Luther had jumped in front of the door, more than determined to stop anyone who would get in.

Sage shifted slightly when he heard banging on the door, something in the back of his head telling him to wake up and figure out what was going on. It seemed like a lot of effort though, and he wasn't sure he was ready for quite so much effort. He did force himself into a slightly more comfortable position, and made sure he could wake up if he needed to. If someone came into the room, he was going to force himself awake and stab them....he wasn't bleeding and giggling now, instead he was pretty much just largely annoyed at, we'll, everything besides Anya Luther and somehow the queen. Which was definitely a new one for him. Though, she seemed to have mellowed out a bit with this whole situation...he would have thought she would have at least known how to fight, bit just stand there shocked while rebels tried to grab her.

Anya glanced to Sage when she saw him shift... that was good. At least he wasn't so limp. She still had a hold of his hand, but it wasn't quite so tight any more. "Just relax," she murmured softly, still not quite sure if he could hear. If she needed to get out of there, she needed to be able to let go and run... not that she'd leave him there, because Luther was likely to grab him if he did have to run, but her mother would drag her off if anything did go badly. But things seemed... under control. For the most past, at least. Luther was still stood infont of the door, but it looked like he was just getting ready to poke his head through the door and stab whoever was on the other side. The girl let g

Sage heard Anyas voice and stilled slightly, though admittedly he stayed keyed up. He didn't know what was going on, but it was loud and he didn't trust them. Plus, he kind of felt like he should be helpful rather than laying around and complicating things. He opened his eyes slowly and squeezed Anyas hand gently, in a sort of reassuring manner before letting go and moving about a bit. "Help me sit up," he pretty much just croaked out. Just because he got shot didn't mean he couldn't chuck a knife at someone who came into the room. "And hand me my dagger."

The girl wrinkled her nose as the boy started talking... he'd just woken up and he was already telling her what to do. That would have been useful about two hours ago, when she actually needed it, and might have listened, but right now she wasn't have it. "I'll help you up but you're not having that knife," the girl almost hissed. Could this boy never take a breath? He'd just been shot god knows how many times and now he was already wanting to help out agin? She just couldn't wrap her head around it. The girl shifted a little to help the boy up, but stoped there. She was honestly a little scared to give him a knife, and he didn't need it... not in her eyes, at least. It went quiet for a little while before the pounding on the door got louder, then bust open. It came quickly, along with a gun shot in their general direction. The bullet just grazed Anya's shoulder, which of course made her squeak, but Luther took down the man with the gun with a few swift movements and then the next two. Three corpses fell to the ground, to which Luther kicked them out the door and tied to get it shut again.

Sage huffed out a breath and would have jumped up to start fighting, though by the time he'd gotten slightly upright Luther had ready taken care of things. He gave Anya a slightly pouty look. "I need a knife," he all but whined. "I won't get up and run off, but I can throw a knife with my left arm." Just because he was shot didn't mean he couldn't help. Besides, he'd feel better knowing he had his dagger...that thing was literally his lifeline by now. Plus, if someone got through Luther, he was the last resort.

The girl curled her upper lip slightly before going to get the knife anyway. "I'm not scared of you getting up and running off, Sage." That was the last thing on her mind. She was more worried that he'd have another dizzy spell, see Lizzie again and then finish himself off. She would have been a bit more adimant he wasn't getting the knife, but she just couldn't bloody say no to him, so soon enough he had the weapon in his palms again... though, Anya seemed to have a closer eye on him now. She did look around the room for a few seconds, only to see her mother quivering behind a sofa. The girl tolled her eyes but said nothing, deciding that if that was what made the woman feel safe, then so be it.
