Sage opened his eyes when the queen grabbed him, surprised at the movement. He hadn't expected that...but he supposed he hadn't expected her to just leave him there either, she wasn't that kind of person. He'd figured that one out before. Of course, he'd gained a bit of weight being at the castle, and while he was still pretty light, he doubted it was easy to carry him around by now too. Either way, he wasn't one to let other people do all the work while lay around, so he did his best to help the queen out a bit and move his sorry butt around. Granted, it probably didn't help a whole bunch, but it gave him a bit of self satisfaction anyway. He could barely tell where they were going, and whatever energy he had left was pretty much gone by the time they had entered the lounge. His breathing had only gotten harsher....he could breathe at least a bit now that he was upright a bit, but that didn't mean he was breathing enough.

The woman watched the boy once they were in a slightly safer place, intently making sure his breathing never really stopped. He was still bleeding everywhere, staining the carpet where he sat. Eventually, the woman calmed herself a little as the steps and yelling breezed past the door, not even trying to get in. They were just running around, trying to find a decent royal or alike to take hostage. Someone that would be worth their while. That thought alone made her eyes widen as she felt worry wash over her. She needed to find her daughter... in all honesty, she didn't trust anyone in the castle at that moment, and Anya was so... defenseless. If someone were to find the girl, the chances were that she wouldn't manage to put up all that much of a fight. She needed to make sure the girl was safe, being watched over and protected. Once she was sure enough that the boy had a steady breath again, she spoke up. "Where's my daughter?" If she could at least find her, she would be at ease. If the boy could manage the words, then the Queen would likely go and find the girl... she'd tend to Sage once this whole thing was over, if he hadn't bled out already by then.

Sage looked over at the queen when he heard her voice, though it took a bit for her words to register. "With Luther," he wheezed out. "Safe." At least, he sure hoped she was safe. He knew the queen would be worried about her daughter....he would have thought she would have thought of that sooner. But leaving the lounge now was dangerous, and if the queen got herself caught it definitely wouldn't help Anya. But she could use the passageways the rebels didn't know about and get to her daughter easily. "Go find her," he whispered, closing his eyes again. He couldn't expect the queen to stay with him, especially not when it was him or her daughter. Besides, Anya would feel better with her mother there. He didn't know what had become of either her or Luther but he sure hoped they were alright.

The woman nodded and without a second thought slipped away. She was slightly concerned for the boy... but he was strong and brave enough to keep himself alive for a little while. Her daughter was her priority, and it would stay that way. She slipped through the passageways silently, easily avoiding the villagers and rebels as she made her way toward Luther's room. She hoped the girl would be there... it was safe enough and Luther would probably want the girl where he could see her. The woman tried to open the door, only to find it was locked. Anya wouldn't open it for her if she knocked... she was slightly smarter than that, so she quietly whispered that it was her, hoping the girl would hear. The door cracked open ever so slightly, but just enough so she could see Anya's fretful expression. The queen's heart broke a little at the sight... she never wanted her daughter to be so frightened in her own home. Once the girl registered that it was her mother, she just pulled her through the little gap in the door, locking it quickly before holding onto the woman in a tight hug. "You're here," Anya squeaked childishly and held onto the woman. The queen nodded gently before glancing around. "Where's Luther gone? Sage said he was with you." It was concerning... that he wasn't there. Anya was alone, and it wouldn't have been hard for someone to break in. Anya glanced up with pursed lips. "I asked him to go find the likes of you... it's been about an hour, so I don't know what's become of him..." the girl railed off, obviously feeling a little guilty about the request. "You saw Sage? Is he alright," Anya started again before pulling away. The girl's mother gave her a quick briefing on everything that had gone on, to which the girl insisted on going to see the boy, saying that they couldn't just leave them there. The queen reluctantly agreed to take her through the passages and Anya wrote a small note to Luther saying she was all safe and sound for the time being before heading off.

Sage closed his eyes once the woman left, glad that both women would get at least a bit of satisfaction from seeing each other safe and alright. They'd be of more use together, and if anyone tried to hurt the girl the queen would quite obviously protect her daughter fiercely. He felt a bit better too, knowing Anya would be a bit more at ease with her mother there. She'd feel safer with her being there. He heard a slight noise, and luckily he was still aware enough to raise his dagger and block the strike he had heard coming even before he opened his eyes. Once he did open them, though, it was easy enough to kill the man and roll out of the way slightly. Well, it wasn't easy, but he had expected it to be harder. Or maybe this was just because he'd lost enough blood to go numb. Maybe he should stitch himself up. Though, his hands were shaky, and once he got the bullet out, he'd bleed even more and he didn't want to risk that. He kept his hand firmly on his stomach wound, though if he pressed it too hard the bullet would only dig in deeper. He'd just have to close his eyes and try to breathe until something happened. Whether that something was good or bad, he couldn't say.

The queen and Anya made their way through the walls pretty quickly... mostly because the two of them were pretty terrified of being caught. The sun was starting to come up, and the castle was still filled with the rebels. Anya could hear a few guards running around though, so she assumed everything would be alright eventually. Hopefully, this whole thing wouldn't last too long... but she wouldn't get her hopes too high. From the low down she got from her mother, it sounded like Sage was in quite the state, so he was her first port of call. She figured a while back that he was the first person she'd worry about in this kind of thing and she was right in that thought. Once this was all over, she'd have him to the doctor again and then he could leave as he'd been wanting to for a while now. It wasn't safe for the boy here... not with people that weren't overly keen on him, and the longer he stayed, the more of a target he'd become out in the village. The two of them got to Sage in good time, and Anya split from her mother fairly quickly to tend to the boy. Well, quick enough that it took a moment for her to notice the dead body at his side. The girl looked the boy up and down for a moment, checking his breathing and whatnot before letting out a kind of relieved sigh. He was stable enough for the meantime. "Sage," she whispered, attempting to make sure he was still somewhat conscious.

Sage opened his eyes, surprised to hear Anyas voice. He blinked a few times, trying to clear his vision, and gave her a type of drunken looking grin. "I have bad luck with guns," he giggled. It would probably worry the girl that was was giggling like a young child but hey, it was all he could think of. He heard more commotion at the doors, and even though he could barely see or breathe that didn't stop him from tossing his dagger across the room and landing in between the eyes of a man poking his head inside. The man fell backwards and a look of triumph flashed in his eyes. A giggle tore it's way through his throat again, which scared him a bit considering laughing at killing someone was .. not great.

The girl just wrinkled her nose at the boy... he was giggling... after killing someone? While he was bleeding? She did have to admit that it scared her a little bit. "Mother, get the door," she ordered, to which the woman wandered over and fiddled with the latch before leaning back against the door as an extra barricade. In truth, the girl was a little surprised she'd listened... but didn't have time to think about it too much. She looked back toward Sage where she was kneeling just next to him, a clear view of worry in her eyes... she'd seen him hurt so much, but the boy had never reacted like this... laughing about it. "Please don't laugh, it's... kind of scary," she whispered. "You're hurt, and giggling like a child won't stop your bleeding."

Sage just hummed, giggling again before realizing that wasn't helping the situation and shutting up quickly. The girl was bound to be worried, he knew that, but he hadn't expected the queen to let the girl loose in the castle either. Of course, she was in a room but still. He needed to grab his dagger, which was on the floor by the queens feet. Plus it would be safer if they got into the tunnels ....he nodded to himself and pointed to the tunnel door. "Help me up." The girl would understand what he was saying, at least he hoped so, and he also hoped the queen would have the sense to grab the dagger off the floor in her way over. Anya nodded quietly and tried a little smile. Hell, did this boy never give up? He'd just been shot god knows how many times but he was still wanting to move around? Granted, it was so he could get somewhere safe, but still. It was a little strange to her. The girl jerked her head over to the knife, and her mother picked it up with that little signal. Anya carefully placed her hands on his side and tried her best to help the boy up. She was a bit surprised by how much weight he'd put on since he'd been there, but it was definitely a good thing. In all fairness, most of it was muscle, but there was no way the boy could put muscle on without eating, so it told her at least one positive thing. Once she got the boy up, they shuffled carefully over to the tunnel door and she helped him through it before letting her mother in after them and carefully latching it shut behind them.
