Sage nodded. "I got nervous when I woke up and you were gone," he admitted with a chuckle. "I'll leave you alone if you want, I just wanted to find you."

"No, please, stay." She said, standing up and offering to take Liz. "Can we go home? Please?"
| |

Sage nodded, moving to hand their daughter off to her. He let out a slow breath of air as he considered her question. "I don't know.....the doctor hasn't given me any more information," he murmured. "I want to go home too, but not if you could still get hurt.."

"Sage, i'm likely gonna be in and out of hospitals until I die...It doesn't matter...You shouldn't get so worried"
| |

Sage frowned slightly with a sigh. "I know I just ...I love you," he noted simply. "I don't want to see you hurt."
| |

"I love you too, but it hurts when you worry about me because I feel like it's my fault you're in pain, even if it's emotional pain." She stated quickly

Sage chuckled softly. "Amira, if I didn't ever worry about you it would mean I didn't love you," he noted softly. "I will always worry About something. But you make it all better. You make life worth fighting for."
| |

"Can I tell you something?" She asked cautiously, taking his hand. "I love your paintings, your voice, your smile, you tattoos, your hair, your kindness, your generosity, your love...I love you."
| |

Sage sort of just blinked at her, her comments taking him off guard. He knew she loved him but....the sudden shower of compliment he wasn't used to. But...it felt nice. He smiled and moved to kiss her gently. "I love you too," he murmured softly.
