The next day, Max caught himself staring at other girls. Some would catch his eye and smirk, while others never noticed.

Kylie didn't notice for a while, but she did after a day or two, catching him watching them and then looking at the girls and comparing herself to them...

Max became distant, quiet even. Didn't hold her hand, kiss her, or even hug her. He saw a girl he was talking walking by when Kylie and him were sitting together, Max standing and going after her. "Kayla!" He called, the girl walking towards him and both of them walking off before he came back a few minutes.

Kylie didn't know what she'd done wrong. Was she too fat for him? Is that what it was? She was sitting next to him when he ran off to another girl and her heart just broke. She held back tears, taking deep breaths. "Who was that?" She asked, trying to sound as innocent as possible. She still really liked him as a boyfriend.

"Childhood friend, hadn't seen her in years." Max lied, not saying she was the girl he'd been seeing and they weren't talking but instead making out behind the corner.

Kylie nodded. "Oh, cool," she replied quietly. She really wish she could believe him. She really wanted to..

Max went on and on about how she had always been there and how they'd grown so close, all lies. The way his expression changed when he said her name, how enthusiastic about her he was, how far away he was sitting from Kylie on the bench. His phone dinged. A text from Kayla. "Oh shit I have to go, work meeting." The man covered it up, grabbing his bag before walking off.

Kylie just sat there, listening. She nodded, not really believing him. "Okay, bye..." she muttered, getting up. She sighed, going back up to his dorm, setting her things down. Her anger grew. He was probably making out with that other girl. She was angry, really angry. Kylie got up, storming down to his house and knocking on the door.

Kayla answered, Max at the table in just his boxers. His face paled when he saw Kylie, rushing forward and slamming the door. "Never open it for her if you're here," He instructed her, voice quiet. Kayla nodded, dragging him back to his room with a smirk.

Kylie stopped breathing when the doors opened. She flinched as the door then slammed in her face. She was right, he was cheating on her... silent tears dripped down her cheek as she slowly walked back to her dorm. Within the hour, she packed a bag, got all her work for the next two weeks from her professors, driving up to see her mother.
