Ella nodded, resting back against the headboard. She had a slight headache, and it seemed to be preventing her from catching everything Sage said. Still, she did her best to reply accordingly. "I mean, maybe in the near future? The place will probably end up being more secure soon, hopefully. And when you'll be better?" She offered, doing her best to console him though she knew she had always been awful with words. Sage was right, she didn't exactly want a baby around for the pure fact it took a lot of time to take car eid and even thinks bout- plus she didn't exactly like children. But she couldn't let that get in the way now, seeing as the queen she would have to have a child at some point.

Sage shrugged slightly and nodded. "Maybe," he hummed. It didn't seem possible, and he didn't want to ask to keep her here, in Ella's room. That wouldn't be right. But he did miss her, more than anything. After a moment he let out a sort of chuckled, shaking his head slightly. "I don't even know why that came up," he half snorted. "Maybe I got hit harder than I realized," he joked, though his heart wasn't really in the happy part of it all. Whatever. At this point, he was just tired. He slid back down so he could curl up on his side, eyes already sort of fluttering closed the moment he lay down. "You're nice, you know," he hummed. "I think you'll make a great queen," he hummed sleepily, not really knowing what he was saying. It was true though.

Ella raised her eyebrows at Sages sudden compliments, brushing a loose strand of hair off of her leg. "Nice? Is that all you think of me?" she joked, though really she appreciated it. She appreciated the 'queen' comment just as much though she still winced every time someone referred to her as that. It was unfair, whole childhood and teenage years lost because of forced royalty. Still, she tried her best to think positively. Big palace, gorgeous horses, nice..cohort. That helped a bit. "thank you anyway" she smiled, looking Sage in the eye for a couple of seconds.

Sage sort of just have her a loopy looking grin in response to her comments before practically passing out. Oh well. That was probably best...he was tired, and he supposed he couldn't heal if he didn't sleep. He hadn't had much say in the matter, of course, but he decided he'd rather do what his body wanted so as not to break it further. Besides, by then he knew he'd complimented her and all, and in this state who knows what else he'd say or do. So, sleep was definitely best in this situation. Though, he fell asleep before thinking to take his hand out of hers. He'd pretty much almost forgotten that she'd even taken it in the first place. But not quite. It was in the back of his mind....and he sort of liked it.

Ella was very happy to just sit there and think while holding Sages hand, though the contact brought back every sad memory she thought she had. Though after a while she knew she had to get to the meeting, and so carefully, without wanting to wake him up or startle him and cause him further injury, she slipped her hand out of Sages and set it down carefully on the bed and headed to the shower. She washed and changed accordingly, brushed her hair out and then headed towards the door, peering through the peephole at the sight of the guards outside the chambers. "i'll be back later" she whispered, though she had no idea if Sage was awake or not. Still, it was nice to let him know.

Sage hadn't moved when she eventually slipped, not other than nestling his hand into a slightly warmer spot of the blankets. He was still flat out by the time she left the room, and when he woke up briefly later, she still wasn't back so he just let his groggy eyes close and he went back to sleep again. He stayed that way for a while, so that when she came back, he was still in a ratyer deep sleep, and didn't stir as she came in.
